¹ Now receive the one being weak in the faith, not for passing judgment on reasonings. ² Indeed, one believes to eat all things; but the one being weak eats vegetables. ³ The one eating, let him not despise the one not eating; and the one not eating, let him not judge the one eating, for God has received him. ⁴ Who are you, judging another’s servant? To the own master he stands or falls. And he will be upheld, for the Lord is able to uphold him. ⁵ For indeed one judges a day to be above another day, but one judges every day alike. Let each be fully assured in the own mind. ⁶ The one regarding the day, regards it to the Lord; the one eating, eats to the Lord, for he gives thanks to God; and the one not eating, does not eat to the Lord and gives thanks to God. ⁷ For none of us lives to himself, and no one dies to himself. ⁸ For both if we should live, we live to the Lord; and if we should die, we die to the Lord. Therefore both if we should live and if we should die, we are the Lord’s. ⁹ For unto this, Christ died and lived again that He might rule over both the dead and living. ¹⁰ But why do you judge your brother, or why also do you despise your brother? For we will all stand before the judgment seat of God. ¹¹ For it has been written: “I live, says the Lord, that every knee will bow to Me, and every tongue will confess to God.” ¹² So then, each of us will give account concerning himself to God. ¹³ No longer, therefore, should we judge one another; but rather determine this, not to put any stumbling block or snare before your brother. ¹⁴ I know and I am persuaded in the Lord Jesus that nothing is unclean of itself, except to him reckoning anything to be unclean—to that one it is unclean. ¹⁵ For if on account of food your brother is grieved, no longer are you walking according to love. Do not destroy with food that one of you for whom Christ died. ¹⁶ Therefore let not your good be spoken of as evil. ¹⁷ For the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. ¹⁸ For the one serving Christ in these things is well-pleasing to God and approved by men. ¹⁹ So then, we should pursue the things of peace, and the things for edification among each other. ²⁰ Do not destroy the work of God for the sake of food. All things indeed are clean, but it is wrong to the man eating through a stumbling block. ²¹ It is good neither to eat meat, nor to drink wine, nor anything in which your brother stumbles. ²² The faith that you have, keep to yourself before God. Blessed is the one not judging himself in what he approves. ²³ But the one doubting has been condemned if he eats, because it is not of faith; and anything that is not of faith is sin.

⁴⁰ The One receiving you receives Me, and the one receiving Me receives the One having sent Me. ⁴¹ The one receiving a prophet in the name of a prophet will receive the reward of a prophet, and the one receiving a righteous man in the name of a righteous man will receive the reward of a righteous man. ⁴² And whoever shall give to drink to one of these little ones only a cup of cold water in the name of a disciple, truly I say to you, he shall certainly not lose his reward.”

²⁰ A bruised reed He will not break, and a smoldering wick He will not quench, until He leads justice to victory.

³¹ And immediately Jesus having stretched out the hand, took hold of him and says to him, “O Little faith, why did you waver?”

⁵ And whoever shall receive one such little child in My name, receives Me. ⁶ And whoever shall cause to stumble one of these of the little ones believing in Me, it is better for him that a heavy millstone should be hung around his neck, and he be sunk in the depth of the sea.

¹⁰ See that you do not despise one of these little ones. For I say to you that their angels in the heavens continually behold the face of my Father, who is in the heavens.

² It is better for him if a millstone is hung around his neck and he is thrown into the sea, than that he should cause one of these little ones to stumble.

²⁰ Truly, truly, I say to you, the one receiving whomever I shall send, receives Me; and the one receiving Me, receives the One having sent Me.”

¹⁹ And not having become weak in the faith, he considered his body already having become dead, being about a hundred years old, and the lifelessness of Sarah’s womb.

²¹ It is good neither to eat meat, nor to drink wine, nor anything in which your brother stumbles.

¹ Now we who are strong ought to bear the weaknesses of the weak and not to please ourselves.

⁷ Therefore receive one another as Christ also received you, to the glory of God.

¹ And I, brothers, was not able to speak to you as to spiritual, but as fleshly—as to infants in Christ. ² I gave you milk to drink, not solid food, for not yet were you able. In fact, now you are still not able,

⁷ But this knowledge is not in all. And some, by habit of the idol until now, eat as of a thing sacrificed to an idol; and their conscience being weak, it is defiled. ⁸ But food will not commend us to God; neither if we should eat do we come short, nor if we should not eat, do we have an advantage. ⁹ But be careful, lest somehow this right of yours becomes an occasion of stumbling to those being weak. ¹⁰ For if anyone sees you, having knowledge, eating in an idol’s temple, will not his conscience, being weak, be built up so as to eat the things sacrificed to idols? ¹¹ For the one being weak is destroyed through your knowledge—the brother for whom Christ died. ¹² And thus sinning against the brothers and wounding their being weak conscience, you sin against Christ. ¹³ Therefore, if food snares my brother, never shall not I eat meat to the age, so that I might not snare my brother.

²² To the weak I became weak, that I might win the weak. I have become all these things to all, so that by all means I might save some.

²⁹ Therefore, receive him in the Lord with all joy, and hold such in honor,

¹⁰ If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not receive him into the house, and do not tell him to rejoice.

⁸ Therefore we ought to receive such men, so that we may be fellow workers in the truth. ⁹ I have written something to the church; but Diotrephes, the one loving to be first among them, does not welcome us. ¹⁰ Because of this, if I might come, I will bring to remembrance his works which he is doing, speaking against us with evil words; and not being satisfied with these, neither he receives the brothers himself, and he forbids those purposing, and he casts them out from the church.

¹⁴ I know and I am persuaded in the Lord Jesus that nothing is unclean of itself, except to him reckoning anything to be unclean—to that one it is unclean.

²⁵ Eat everything being sold in the meat market, inquiring nothing on account of conscience,

¹² For before certain ones came from James, he had been eating with the Gentiles. But when they came, he was drawing back and was separating himself, being afraid of those of the circumcision.

⁴ For every creature of God is good, and nothing is to be rejected, being received with thanksgiving,

¹⁵ To the pure all things are pure; but to those being defiled and unbelieving, nothing is pure. Instead, both their mind and conscience are defiled.

¹⁰ consisting only in foods and drinks and various washings—ordinances of the flesh being imposed until the time of reformation.

⁹ Do not be carried away by various and strange teachings; for it is good for the heart to be strengthened by grace, not by foods, in which those being devoted were not profited.

¹ Do not judge, lest you should be judged. ² For with that verdict you pronounce, you will be judged; and with that measure you measure, it will be measured to you.

¹⁴ Then the disciples of John come to Him saying, “Why do we and the Pharisees often fast, but Your disciples do not fast?”

¹⁸ For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, ‘He has a demon!’ ¹⁹ The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, ‘Behold a man, a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and of sinners!’ But wisdom is justified by her deeds.”

⁹ And He also spoke this parable to some trusting in themselves that they are righteous, and despising others:

³⁴ And Peter, having opened the mouth, said, “Of a truth I understand that God is not One who shows partiality,

⁴⁴ Of Peter still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit fell upon all those hearing the word.

⁸ And the heart-knowing God bore witness to them, having given them the Holy Spirit, as also to us. ⁹ And He made no distinction between both us and them, having purified their hearts by the faith.

¹⁰ But why do you judge your brother, or why also do you despise your brother? For we will all stand before the judgment seat of God.

¹³ No longer, therefore, should we judge one another; but rather determine this, not to put any stumbling block or snare before your brother.

¹⁵ For if on account of food your brother is grieved, no longer are you walking according to love. Do not destroy with food that one of you for whom Christ died.

²⁹ and I am not saying your own conscience, but that of the other; for why is my freedom judged by another’s conscience? ³⁰ If I partake with thankfulness, why am I denounced for that which I give thanks?

¹⁶ Therefore let no one judge you in regard to food, or in regard to drink, or in regard to a feast, or a New Moon, or Sabbaths, ¹⁷ which are a shadow the things coming. But the body is of Christ.

²⁸ And I give them eternal life, and never shall they perish to the age, and never will anyone seize them out of My hand. ²⁹ My Father who has given them to Me is greater than all, and no one is able to seize them out of the Father’s hand. ³⁰ I and the Father are one.”

¹⁷ If then God has given to them the same gift as also to us having believed on the Lord Jesus Christ, how was I able to forbid God?”

³¹ What then will we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? ³² For He who spared not the own Son, but gave Him up for us all, how will He not also, with Him, grant us all things? ³³ Who will bring an accusation against the elect of God? God is the One justifying. ³⁴ Who is the one condemning? For it is Christ Jesus, the one having died, now rather having been raised up, who is also at the right hand of God, and who is interceding for us. ³⁵ Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Will tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? ³⁶ As it has been written: “For Your sake we face death all the day; we were regarded as sheep of slaughter.” ³⁷ But in all these things, we more than conquer through the One having loved us. ³⁸ For I am persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, ³⁹ nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

²⁰ But rather, O man, who are you, answering against God? Shall the thing formed say to the One having formed it, “Why have you made me like this?”

²³ And even they, if they do not continue in unbelief, will be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again.

³ The one eating, let him not despise the one not eating; and the one not eating, let him not judge the one eating, for God has received him.

²⁵ Now to Him being able to strengthen you according to my gospel and the proclamation of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery having been kept secret in times of the ages,

⁴ For I am conscious of nothing against myself, yet I have not been justified by this; but the One judging me is the Lord. ⁵ Therefore do not judge anything before the time, until the Lord shall have come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the motives of the hearts; and then the praise will come to each from God.

²⁵ wherefore also He is able to save to the uttermost those drawing near to God through Him, always living for to intercede for them.

¹¹ Do not speak against one another, brothers. The one speaking against his brother or judging his brother speaks against the Law and judges the Law. But if you judge the Law, you are not a doer of the Law, but a judge. ¹² There is one Lawgiver and Judge, the One being able to save and to destroy. But who are you judging the neighbor?

⁵ who are being guarded by the power of God through faith, for the salvation ready to be revealed in the last time,

²⁴ Now to Him being able to keep you from stumbling and to present you blameless in the presence of His glory, with exultation—

²³ But the one doubting has been condemned if he eats, because it is not of faith; and anything that is not of faith is sin.

⁷ But this knowledge is not in all. And some, by habit of the idol until now, eat as of a thing sacrificed to an idol; and their conscience being weak, it is defiled.

¹¹ For the one being weak is destroyed through your knowledge—the brother for whom Christ died.

⁹ But now, having known God, but rather having been known by God, how do you turn again to the weak and destitute principles, to which you desire to be enslaved again anew? ¹⁰ You observe days and months and seasons and years.

¹⁹ And by this we will know that we are of the truth, and we will assure our heart before Him, ²⁰ that if our heart should condemn us, that God is greater than our heart, and He knows all things. ²¹ Beloved, if our heart should not condemn us, we have confidence toward God,

¹⁹ And having commanded the crowds to sit down on the grass, having taken the five loaves and the two fish, having looked up to heaven, He spoke a blessing. And having broken, He gave the loaves to the disciples, and the disciples to the crowds.

³⁶ having taken the seven loaves and the fish, and having given thanks, He broke them and kept giving them to the disciples, and the disciples to the crowd.

²⁸ Therefore they said to Him, “What must we do, that we may be doing the works of God?”

³⁰ If I partake with thankfulness, why am I denounced for that which I give thanks? ³¹ Therefore whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all things to the glory of God.

¹⁰ You observe days and months and seasons and years.

³ forbidding to marry, commanding to abstain from foods that God created for reception with thanksgiving by the faithful and those knowing the truth. ⁴ For every creature of God is good, and nothing is to be rejected, being received with thanksgiving, ⁵ for it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.

⁹ For unto this, Christ died and lived again that He might rule over both the dead and living.

¹⁹ Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit in you, whom you have from God? And you are not your own, ²⁰ for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body.

¹⁵ And He died for all that those living no longer should live to themselves, but to the One having died for them and having been raised again.

¹⁹ For through the Law I died to the Law that I might live to God. ²⁰ I have been crucified with Christ, and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. And that which I now live in the flesh, I live through faith from the Son of God, the One having loved me and having given up Himself for me.

²⁰ according to my earnest expectation and hope that I will be ashamed in nothing, but in all boldness also now as always, Christ will be magnified in my body, whether by life or by death. ²¹ For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain. ²² But if I am to live in flesh, this is the fruit of labor for me. And what shall I choose? I do not know. ²³ But I am pressed between the two, having the desire to depart and to be with Christ, indeed very much better, ²⁴ but to remain in the flesh is more necessary for your sake.

¹⁰ the One having died for us, so that whether we might watch or we might sleep, we may live together with Him.

¹⁴ who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from all lawlessness and might purify to Himself a people specially chosen, zealous of good works.

² so as to live the remaining time in the flesh no longer to men’s desires, but to the will of God.

¹⁹ Now He said this signifying by what death he will glorify God. And having said this, He says to him, “Follow Me.”

³⁶ For indeed David, having served the purpose of God in his own generation, fell asleep and was added to his fathers, and saw decay.

²⁴ But I make my life neither dear nor any account to myself, so as to finish my course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus: to testify fully the gospel of the grace of God.

¹³ Then Paul answered, “What are you doing, weeping and breaking my heart? For I have readiness not only to be bound, but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.”

²² whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come—all are yours, ²³ and you of Christ, and Christ of God.

²³ But each in the own order: Christ the firstfruit, then those of Christ at His coming,

²⁰ according to my earnest expectation and hope that I will be ashamed in nothing, but in all boldness also now as always, Christ will be magnified in my body, whether by life or by death.

¹⁷ But even if I am being poured out as a drink offering on the sacrifice and service of your faith, I am glad and rejoice with you all.

³⁰ because for the sake of the work of Christ he came near unto death, having disregarded his life so that he might fill up your deficit of service toward me.

¹⁴ For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with Him those having fallen asleep. ¹⁵ For this we declare to you in the word of the Lord, that we the living, remaining unto the coming of the Lord, shall not precede those having fallen asleep, ¹⁶ because the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a loud command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. ¹⁷ Then we, the living remaining, will be caught away together with them in the clouds for the meeting of the Lord in the air; and so we will be always with the Lord. ¹⁸ Therefore encourage one another with these words.

¹³ And I heard a voice out of heaven, saying “Write, ‘Blessed are the dead dying in the Lord from now on.’” “Yes,” says the Spirit, “so that they will rest from their labors; for their works follow with them.”

¹⁸ And having come to them, Jesus spoke to them, saying, “All authority in heaven and on the earth has been given to Me.

²⁶ Was it not necessary for the Christ to suffer these things and to enter into His glory?”

²² For the Father judges no one, but has given all judgment to the Son, ²³ so that all may honor the Son, even as they honor the Father. He who is not honoring the Son is not honoring the Father, the One having sent Him.

²⁷ And He gave Him authority to execute judgment, because He is the Son of Man. ²⁸ Do not marvel at this, for an hour is coming in which all those in the tombs will hear His voice, ²⁹ and will come forth—those having done good to the resurrection of life, and those having done evil to the resurrection of judgment.

³⁶ the word that He sent to the sons of Israel, proclaiming the gospel, peace by Jesus Christ—He is Lord of all.

⁴² And He instructed us to proclaim to the people and to testify fully that He is the One having been appointed by God as judge of the living and the dead.

¹⁴ For the love of Christ compels us, having concluded this, that One has died for all, therefore all have died.

²⁰ which He worked in Christ, having raised Him out from the dead, and having set Him at His right hand in the heavenly realms, ²¹ above every principality and authority and power and dominion, and every name being named, not only in this age, but also in the one coming. ²² And He put all things under His feet and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, ²³ which is His body, the fullness of the One filling all in all.

⁹ Therefore God also highly exalted Him, and granted to Him the name above every name, ¹⁰ that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in the heavens and on earth and under the earth, ¹¹ and every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

¹ I earnestly declare before God and Christ Jesus, the One being about to judge the living and the dead, and by His appearing and His kingdom:

² looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who in view of the joy lying before Him endured the cross, having despised its shame, and sat down at right hand of the throne of God.

²¹ who by Him believe in God, the one having raised Him up out from the dead and having given Him glory, so as for your faith and hope to be in God.

⁵ who will give account to Him who is ready to judge the living and the dead.

¹⁸ and the Living One. And I was dead, and behold I am living to the ages of the ages, and I have the keys of Death and of Hades.

⁸ And to the messenger of the church in Smyrna write: These things says the First and the Last, who became dead and came to life.

³¹ And when the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the angels with Him, then He will sit upon His throne of glory. ³² And all the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as the shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.

¹¹ And Herod, with his troops, having set Him at naught and also having mocked Him, having put on Him splendid apparel, sent Him back to Pilate.

²² For the Father judges no one, but has given all judgment to the Son,

¹¹ This is ‘the stone having been rejected by you, the builders, which has become the head of the corner.’

³¹ because He set a day in which He is about to judge the world in righteousness by a man whom He appointed, having provided a guarantee to all, having raised Him out from the dead.”

¹⁶ on that day when God will judge the secrets of men according to my gospel, by Christ Jesus.

¹⁰ For we must all be revealed before the judgment seat of Christ, that each may receive back the things done through the body according to what he did, whether good or evil.

¹⁴ And Enoch, the seventh from Adam, also prophesied as to these, saying: “Behold, the Lord has come amidst myriads of His holy ones, ¹⁵ to execute judgment against all, and to convict all the ungodly concerning all the works of ungodliness which they have done in an ungodly way, and concerning all the harsh things that ungodly sinners have spoken against Him.”

¹¹ And I saw a great white throne and the One sitting on it, from whose face the earth and heaven fled, and no place was found for them. ¹² And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the one of life. And the dead were judged out of the things having been written in the books, according to their deeds. ¹³ And the sea gave up the dead who were in it; and death and Hades gave up the dead who were in them; and each of them were judged according to their works. ¹⁴ And death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. ¹⁵ And if anyone was not found having been written in the book of life, he was cast into the lake of fire.

³² Therefore everyone who will confess in Me before men, I also will confess in him before My Father in the heavens.

⁹ that if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him out from the dead, you will be saved.

⁹ and for the Gentiles to glorify God for mercy, as it has been written: “Because of this I will praise You among the Gentiles, and will I sing to Your name.”

¹⁵ Whoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God.

⁷ For many deceivers have entered into the world, those not confessing Jesus Christ coming in flesh. This is the deceiver and the antichrist.

¹⁴ And the four living creatures kept saying, “Amen.” And the elders fell down and worshiped.

³⁶ And I say to you that every careless word that they will speak, men will give an account of it in day of judgment.

²⁷ For the Son of Man is about to come in the glory His Father, with His angels, and then He will give to each according to his deeds.

²³ Because of this, the kingdom of the heavens has become like to a man, a king, who desired to settle accounts with his servants. ²⁴ And he having begun to settle, one was brought to him, a debtor of ten thousand talents. ²⁵ And of him having nothing to pay, the master commanded him to be sold, and the wife and children, and everything that he had, and payment to be made. ²⁶ Therefore the servant, having fallen down, was bowing on his knees to him, saying, ‘Have patience with me, and I will pay everything to you.’ ²⁷ And the master of that servant having been moved with compassion, released him and forgave him the debt. ²⁸ But the same servant having gone out, found one of his fellow servants who was owing him a hundred denarii, and having seized him, he was throttling him, saying, ‘Pay what you owe.’ ²⁹ Therefore his fellow servant having fallen down, was begging him, saying, ‘Have patience with me, and I will pay you.’ ³⁰ But he was not willing. Rather, having gone, he cast him into prison until he should pay what was owed. ³¹ Therefore his fellow servants having seen the things having taken place, were deeply grieved, and having gone, narrated to their master everything having taken place. ³² Then his master having called him, says to him, ‘Evil servant, I forgave you all that debt because you begged me. ³³ Did it not behoove you also to have pitied your fellow servant, as I also had pitied you?’ ³⁴ And having been angry, his master delivered him to the jailers, until that he should pay all being owed to him. ³⁵ Thus also My Heavenly Father will do to you, unless each of you forgives his brother from your heart.”

² And having called him, he said to him, ‘What is this I hear concerning you? Give the account of your stewardship, for you are not able to manage any longer.’

⁵ For each shall bear his own load.

¹ Do not judge, lest you should be judged.

²³ And having turned, He said to Peter, “Get behind Me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to Me. For your thoughts are not of the things of God, but the things of men.”

⁷ Woe to the world because of the causes of sin. For the stumbling blocks are necessary to come, but woe to the man by whom the offense comes!

⁵⁷ And why do you not even judge for yourselves what is right?

³² Why? Because it was not by faith, but as by works. They stumbled over the stone of stumbling, ³³ as it has been written: “Behold, I lay in Zion a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offense; and the one believing on Him will never be put to shame.”

⁹ And David says: “Let their table be for a snare and for a trap, and for a stumbling block and for a retribution to them.

⁴ Who are you, judging another’s servant? To the own master he stands or falls. And he will be upheld, for the Lord is able to uphold him.

¹⁷ Now I exhort you, brothers, to consider those causing divisions and obstacles contrary to the teaching that you have learned, and turn away from them.

³² Be you without offense both to Jews and Greeks, and to the church of God—

¹³ Judge for yourselves: Is it becoming for a woman to pray to God with her head uncovered?

³ Placing no obstacle in anyone’s way so that our ministry should not be blemished,

¹⁰ for you to approve the things being excellent, so that you may be pure and blameless unto the day of Christ,

¹⁴ Therefore I want the younger ones to marry, to bear children, to manage their households, to give the one opposing no occasion on account of reproach.

⁴ then have you not made a distinction among yourselves and have become judges with evil thoughts?

¹¹ Do not speak against one another, brothers. The one speaking against his brother or judging his brother speaks against the Law and judges the Law. But if you judge the Law, you are not a doer of the Law, but a judge.

¹⁰ The one loving his brother abides in the light, and in him there is no cause for stumbling.

¹⁴ But I have a few things against you, because you have some there holding the teaching of Balaam, who would teach Balak to cast a snare before the sons of Israel, to eat things sacrificed to idols, and to commit sexual immorality.

¹⁴ But Peter said, “In no way, Lord! For never have I eaten anything common or unclean.” ¹⁵ And a voice came again to him for the second time: “What God has cleansed, you do not call common.”

²⁸ And he was saying to them, “You know how unlawful it is for a Jew to unite himself or to come near to a foreigner. But God has shown me not to call any man common or unclean.

⁸ But I said, ‘In no way, Lord. For nothing ever common or unclean has entered into my mouth.’ ⁹ But for a second time the voice answered out of heaven, ‘What God has cleansed, you do not call unholy.’

² Indeed, one believes to eat all things; but the one being weak eats vegetables.

²⁰ Do not destroy the work of God for the sake of food. All things indeed are clean, but it is wrong to the man eating through a stumbling block.

¹⁰ For if anyone sees you, having knowledge, eating in an idol’s temple, will not his conscience, being weak, be built up so as to eat the things sacrificed to idols?

¹⁰ Love does not do evil to its neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the Law.

² Let each of us please the neighbor unto the good, for edification.

¹ Now concerning the things sacrificed to idols, we know indeed we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffs up, but love builds up.

¹¹ For the one being weak is destroyed through your knowledge—the brother for whom Christ died. ¹² And thus sinning against the brothers and wounding their being weak conscience, you sin against Christ.

¹ If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become a sounding brass or a clanging cymbal.

⁴ Love is patient, love is kind, love is not envious, it is not boastful, it is not puffed up. ⁵ It does not act unbecomingly, it does not seek the things of its own, it is not easily provoked, it keeps no account of wrongs.

¹³ For you brothers were called to freedom, but not the freedom for an opportunity to the flesh. Rather, serve one another through love.

² and walk in love, just as Christ also loved us and gave Himself up for us as an offering and a sacrifice to God, into an aroma of a sweet smell.

² fulfill my joy so that you may be of the same mind, having the same love, united in soul, minding the same thing, ³ nothing according to self-interest or according to vain conceit, but in humility be esteeming one another surpassing themselves, ⁴ each considering not the things of themselves, but each also the things of others.

¹ But there were also false prophets among the people, as there will be false teachers among you also, who will stealthily introduce destructive heresies, even denying the Master having bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction. ² And He is the propitiation for our sins, and not only for ours, but also for those of the whole world.

¹⁷ repaying to no one evil for evil, providing right before all men;

²⁰ avoiding this, lest anyone should blame us in this abundance being administered by us. ²¹ For we are taking great care to do what is right, not only before the Lord, but also before men.

²² Abstain from every form of evil.

² and saying, “Repent, for the kingdom of the heavens has drawn near.”

³³ But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you.

¹⁵ And one of those reclining with Him, having heard these things, said to Him, “Blessed is he who will eat bread in the kingdom of God.”

²⁰ And having been asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God is coming, He answered them and said, “The kingdom of God does not come with careful observation, ²¹ nor will they say, ‘Behold here,’ or ‘There.’ For behold, the kingdom of God is in your midst.”

³ Jesus answered and said to him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, except anyone be born from above, he is not able to see the kingdom of God.”

⁵ Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless anyone be born of water and of the Spirit, he is not able to enter into the kingdom of God.

³³ I have spoken these things to you so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation. But take courage; I have overcome the world.”

³¹ Then indeed the churches throughout all of Judea and Galilee and Samaria had peace, being edified. And going on in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit, they were multiplied.

⁵² and the disciples were filled with joy and the Holy Spirit.

¹ Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, ² through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand; and we boast in the hope of the glory of God. ³ And not only so, but also we glory in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; ⁴ and perseverance, character; and character, hope. ⁵ And hope does not make us ashamed, because the love of God has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, the One having been given to us.

⁶ For the mind of the flesh is death; but the mind of the Spirit, life and peace,

¹⁵ For you have not received a spirit of bondage again to fear, but you have received the Spirit of divine adoption as sons, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father!” ¹⁶ The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God,

¹³ Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, for you to abound in hope in the power of the Holy Spirit.

³⁰ But out of Him, you are in Christ Jesus, who has been made unto us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification and redemption,

²⁰ For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power.

⁹ Or do you not know that the unrighteous ones will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals,

⁸ But food will not commend us to God; neither if we should eat do we come short, nor if we should not eat, do we have an advantage.

²¹ He made the One not having known sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God. ²² But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,

¹ Therefore if there is any encouragement in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affections and compassions,

³ For we are the circumcision, those worshiping in the Spirit of God, and glorying in Christ Jesus, and not trusting in the flesh—

⁹ and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness which is of the Law, but that which is through faith from Christ, the righteousness of God on the basis of faith,

⁴ Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice!

⁷ And the peace of God, surpassing all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

¹¹ being strengthened with all power according to His glorious might, unto all endurance and patience with joy,

⁶ And you became imitators of us and of the Lord, having received the word in much tribulation, with the joy of the Holy Spirit,

¹² we were exhorting and comforting you and charging unto you to walk worthily of God, who calls you into His kingdom and glory.

⁸ whom not having seen you love, on whom now believing though not seeing you also exult with joy inexpressible and filled with glory,

¹ Simon Peter, a servant and apostle of Jesus Christ, To those having obtained a faith equally precious with ours, through the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ:

³⁴ It is like a man going on a journey, having left his house, and having given his servants authority, to each one his work. And he commanded the doorkeeper that he should keep watch.

²⁶ If anyone serves Me, let him follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will be also. If anyone serves Me, the Father will honor him.

³⁵ but in every nation, the one fearing Him and working righteousness is acceptable to Him,

²² But now, having been set free from sin, and having become slaves to God, you have your fruit unto sanctification, and the end is eternal life.

¹ Therefore I exhort you, brothers, through the compassions of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy to God, well-pleasing, which is your reasonable service. ² And do not be conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of the mind, for you to prove what is the good and well-pleasing and perfect will of God.

¹¹ not lagging in diligence, being fervent in spirit, serving the Lord,

¹⁸ For such do not serve our Lord Christ, but their own belly; and by smooth talk and flattery they deceive the hearts of the naive.

²² For the one having been called in the Lord while a slave is the Lord’s freedman; likewise the one having been called while free is a slave of Christ.

² But we have renounced the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness, nor falsifying the word of God, but by manifestation of the truth, commending ourselves to every man’s conscience before God.

¹¹ Therefore knowing the fear of the Lord, we persuade men. And we have been made manifest to God, and I hope to have been made manifest in your consciences also.

⁴ in everything, rather, we are commending ourselves as God’s servants: in great endurance, in tribulations, in hardships, in distresses;

²¹ For we are taking great care to do what is right, not only before the Lord, but also before men.

¹⁵ For neither circumcision nor uncircumcision is anything; instead, a new creation. ¹⁶ And as many as those who will walk by this rule, peace and mercy be upon them, and upon the Israel of God.

¹⁸ But I have all things, and abound. I am full, having received from Epaphroditus the things from you, an odor of a sweet smell, an acceptable sacrifice, well-pleasing to God.

²⁴ knowing that you will receive from the Lord the reward of the inheritance. You serve the Lord Christ!

³ remembering before our God and Father your work of faith and unceasing labor of love, and the endurance of the hope of our Lord Jesus Christ, ⁴ knowing, brothers beloved by God, your election,

³ This is good and acceptable before God our Savior,

⁴ But if any widow has children or grandchildren, let them learn to be devout first to the own household and to give recompense to parents; for this is pleasing before God.

¹¹ For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men, ¹² instructing us that, having denied ungodliness and worldly passions, we should live discreetly and righteously and piously in the present age, ¹³ awaiting the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, ¹⁴ who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from all lawlessness and might purify to Himself a people specially chosen, zealous of good works.

¹⁸ But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without works, and I will show you faith by my works. ¹⁹ You believe that God is one. You are doing well! Even the demons believe that, and shudder! ²⁰ But do you want to come to know, O foolish man, that faith apart from works is worthless? ²¹ Was not Abraham our father justified by works, having offered his son Isaac upon the altar? ²² You see that his faith was working with his works, and by his works, his faith was perfected. ²³ And the Scripture was fulfilled, saying, “And Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him for righteousness,” and he was called a friend of God. ²⁴ You see that a man is justified by works, and not by faith alone. ²⁵ And likewise was not Rahab the prostitute also justified by works, having received the messengers and having sent them forth by another way? ²⁶ For just as the body apart from spirit is dead, so also faith apart from works is dead.

⁵ you yourselves also, as living stones, are being built up as a spiritual house into a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

²⁰ For what kind of credit is it, if sinning and being struck, you shall endure? But if you shall endure doing good and suffering, this is commendable before God.

¹⁶ having a good conscience, so that in the case that they might speak against you, those reviling your good manner of life in Christ, they shall be ashamed.

⁹ Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God.

⁵⁰ The salt is good, but if the salt becomes unsalty, with what will you season it? Have salt in yourselves, and be at peace with one another.”

¹⁸ if possible of you, living at peace with all men;

¹⁵ But if the unbeliever separates himself, let him separate himself. The brother or the sister is not under bondage in such cases. But God has called you into peace.

³³ as I also please all in all things, not seeking my own profit, but that of the many, that they may be saved.

¹² So also you, since you are zealous of spiritual gifts, search for the edification of the church, that you should cause it to abound. ¹³ Therefore he who speaks in a tongue, let him pray that he might interpret. ¹⁴ For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my mind is unfruitful. ¹⁵ What then is it? I will pray with the spirit, but also I will pray with the mind. I will sing praise with the spirit, but also I will sing praise with the mind. ¹⁶ Otherwise if you bless with the spirit, how will the one filling the place of the uninstructed say the “Amen” at your thanksgiving, since he knows not what you say? ¹⁷ For truly you are giving thanks well, but the other is not edified.

²⁶ What then is it, brothers? When you may come together, each has a psalm, has a teaching, has a revelation, has a tongue, has an interpretation. Let all things be done for edification.

¹⁹ Have you been thinking all along that we have been making a defense to you? We speak in Christ before God, but all things, beloved, for your edification.

¹¹ Finally, brothers, rejoice! Be perfected, be exhorted, be of the same mind, be at peace. And the God of love and peace will be with you.

³ being diligent to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace; ⁴ one body and one Spirit, just as also you were called into one hope of your calling; ⁵ one Lord, one faith, one baptism; ⁶ one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all. ⁷ Now to each one of us grace has been given according to the measure of the gift of Christ.

²⁹ Do not let any unwholesome word go forth out of your mouth, but only good, for edification of the need, so that it may give grace to those hearing.

¹ Therefore if there is any encouragement in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affections and compassions,

¹² Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on hearts of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience, ¹³ bearing with each other and forgiving each other. If anyone should have a complaint against another, even as also the Lord has forgiven you, so also you. ¹⁴ And beyond all these, put on love, which is the bond of perfect unity. ¹⁵ And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body. And be thankful.

¹¹ Therefore encourage one another and build up one another, just as also you are doing. ¹² But we implore you, brothers, to appreciate those toiling among you, and taking the lead over you in the Lord, and admonishing you,

⁴ nor to give heed to myths and endless genealogies, which bring speculations rather than God’s stewardship, which is in faith.

²² Now flee youthful lusts and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those calling on the Lord out of pure a heart.

¹⁴ Pursue peace with all, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord,

¹³ Who is wise and understanding among you; let him show his works out of the good conduct, in the humility of wisdom. ¹⁴ But if you have bitter jealousy and self-interest in your heart, do not boast of it and lie against the truth. ¹⁵ This is not the wisdom coming down from above, but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic. ¹⁶ For where jealousy and self-interest exist, there will be disorder and every evil thing. ¹⁷ But the wisdom from above is indeed first pure, then peaceable, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and of good fruits, impartial, sincere. ¹⁸ And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those making peace.

¹¹ Also let him turn away from evil, and let him do good. Let him seek peace and let him pursue it.

¹¹ It is not what is entering into the mouth that defiles the man; but that going forth out of the mouth, this defiles the man.”

⁶ And whoever shall cause to stumble one of these of the little ones believing in Me, it is better for him that a heavy millstone should be hung around his neck, and he be sunk in the depth of the sea.

¹⁵ And a voice came again to him for the second time: “What God has cleansed, you do not call common.”

¹⁴ I know and I am persuaded in the Lord Jesus that nothing is unclean of itself, except to him reckoning anything to be unclean—to that one it is unclean. ¹⁵ For if on account of food your brother is grieved, no longer are you walking according to love. Do not destroy with food that one of you for whom Christ died.

¹² “All things are lawful to me,” but not all things do profit. “All things are lawful to me,” but I will not be mastered by anything. ¹³ “Foods for the belly and the belly for foods,” but God will destroy both this and these. Now the body is not for sexual immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body.

³¹ Therefore whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all things to the glory of God. ³² Be you without offense both to Jews and Greeks, and to the church of God— ³³ as I also please all in all things, not seeking my own profit, but that of the many, that they may be saved.

¹⁰ For we are His workmanship, having been created in Christ Jesus for good works which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

⁶ being persuaded of this very thing, that the One having begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Christ Jesus.

⁷ Woe to the world because of the causes of sin. For the stumbling blocks are necessary to come, but woe to the man by whom the offense comes! ⁸ Now if your hand or your foot causes you to sin, cut it off and cast it from you; it is better for you to enter into life crippled or lame, than having two hands or two feet, to be cast into the eternal fire. ⁹ And if your eye causes you to sin, gouge it out and cast it from you; it is better for you to enter into life one-eyed, than having two eyes to be cast into the Gehenna of fire. ¹⁰ See that you do not despise one of these little ones. For I say to you that their angels in the heavens continually behold the face of my Father, who is in the heavens.

¹ And He said to His disciples, “It is impossible for the stumbling blocks not to come, but woe to him by whom they come! ² It is better for him if a millstone is hung around his neck and he is thrown into the sea, than that he should cause one of these little ones to stumble.

¹⁷ For the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

¹ Now we who are strong ought to bear the weaknesses of the weak and not to please ourselves. ² Let each of us please the neighbor unto the good, for edification.

¹³ Therefore, if food snares my brother, never shall not I eat meat to the age, so that I might not snare my brother.

¹³ and make straight paths for your feet, so that the lame should not be put out of joint, but rather should be healed.

¹⁶ In this also I myself strive to have a conscience without offense toward God and men through everything.

¹⁵ For what I do, I do not understand. For what I want, this I do not do; but what I hate, this I do.

²⁴ O wretched man I am! Who will deliver me out of this body of death?

⁵ For indeed one judges a day to be above another day, but one judges every day alike. Let each be fully assured in the own mind.

¹² For our boasting is this: the testimony of our conscience that we have conducted ourselves in the world, and more abundantly toward you, in the purity and sincerity of God, and not in fleshly wisdom but in the grace of God.

¹ Brothers, even if a man should be caught in some trespass, you the spiritual ones restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, considering yourself, lest you also be tempted.

¹³ Who is wise and understanding among you; let him show his works out of the good conduct, in the humility of wisdom.

²¹ Beloved, if our heart should not condemn us, we have confidence toward God,

² Therefore the one rebelling against the authority has resisted the ordinance of God, and those having resisted will bring judgment upon themselves.

²⁹ For the one eating and drinking not discerning the body, eats and drinks judgment on himself. ³⁰ Because of this, many are weak and sick among you, and many are fallen asleep. ³¹ For if we were judging ourselves, we would not come under judgment.

⁶ And without faith, it is impossible to please Him. For it behooves the one drawing near to God to believe that He exists and that He becomes a rewarder to those earnestly seeking Him out.
