Romans 10 Cross References - BLB

1 Brothers, indeed the desire and supplication of my heart to God on behalf of them is for salvation. 2 For I bear witness about them that they have zeal for God, but not according to knowledge. 3 For being ignorant of the righteousness of God and seeking to establish the own righteousness, they did not submit to the righteousness of God. 4 For the end of Law is Christ, unto righteousness to everyone believing. 5 For Moses writes of the righteousness that is of the Law that “The man having done these things will live by them.” 6 But the righteousness of faith speaks thus: “You should not say in your heart, ‘Who will ascend into heaven?’ (that is, to bring down Christ) 7 or, ‘Who will descend into the abyss?’ (that is, to bring up Christ out from the dead).” 8 But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth, and in your heart.” That is, the word of faith which we proclaim, 9 that if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him out from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For in the heart is belief unto righteousness, and in the mouth is confession unto salvation. 11 For the Scripture says, “Everyone believing on Him will not be put to shame.” 12 For there is no difference between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord of all is rich toward all those calling Him, 13 for, “Whoever shall call upon the name of the Lord will be saved.” 14 How then shall they call on Him whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe on Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear apart from preaching? 15 And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it has been written: “How beautiful are the feet of those proclaiming good news of good things!” 16 But not all heeded the good news. For Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed our report?” 17 So faith is from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ. 18 But I ask, did they not hear? Indeed: “Their voice has gone out into all the earth, and their words to the ends of the world.” 19 But I ask, did Israel not know? First, Moses says: “I will provoke you to jealousy by those not a nation; I will anger you by a nation without understanding.” 20 And Isaiah is very bold and says: “I was found by those not seeking Me; I became manifest to those not inquiring after Me.” 21 But as for Israel he says: “All the day I have stretched out My hands to a disobeying and contradicting people.”

Make me like one of your servants.”’ 20 And having risen up, he went to his father. 25 whom God set forth as a propitiation through faith in His blood, for a showing forth of His righteousness, because of the forbearance of the sins having taken place beforehand, 26 in the forbearance of God, for the showing forth of His righteousness in the present time, for Him to be just, and justifying the one of the faith of Jesus. 27 Where then is boasting? It has been excluded. Through what principle? That of works? No, but through the principle of faith. 28 Therefore we reckon a man to be justified by faith apart from works of the Law. 29 Or is He the God of Jews only, not also of Gentiles? Yes, also of Gentiles, 30 since indeed God is the One who will justify the circumcision by faith and the uncircumcision through the same faith. 31 Do we, then, nullify the Law through faith? Never may it be! Instead, we uphold Law.

Romans 7:1-4

1 Or are you ignorant brothers (for I speak to those knowing the law), that the law rules over the man for as long as the time he is alive? 2 For the married woman is bound by law to the living husband; but if the husband should die, she is cleared from the law of the husband. 3 So then, if she is to another man, the husband being alive, she will be called an adulteress; but if the husband should die, she is free from the law, so as for her not to be an adulteress, having been to another man. 4 Likewise, my brothers, you also have been put to death to the Law through the body of Christ, for you to belong to another, to the One having been raised out from the dead, so that we should bear fruit to God.

Romans 8:3-4

3 For of the Law being powerless in that it was weak through the flesh, God, having sent His Son in likeness of sin of flesh and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh, 4 so that the righteousness of the Law should be fulfilled in us not walking according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.

Hebrews 9:7-14

7 But only the high priest enters into the second, once in the year, not without blood, which he offers for himself and the sins of ignorance of the people. 8 By this the Holy Spirit was signifying that the way into the holy places has not yet been made manifest, the first tabernacle still having a standing, 9 which is a symbol for the present time, in which both gifts and sacrifices are offered, not being able to make perfect in regard to conscience of the one worshiping, 10 consisting only in foods and drinks and various washings—ordinances of the flesh being imposed until the time of reformation. 11 But Christ, having appeared as high priest of the good things having come, by the greater and more perfect tabernacle not made by hands, that is, not of this creation, 12 nor by blood of goats and calves, but through the own blood, He entered once for all into the holy places, having obtained eternal redemption. 13 For if the blood of goats and of bulls and the ashes of a heifer sprinkling those having been defiled sanctify them for the purification of the flesh, 14 how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself unblemished to God, purify our conscience from dead works, in order to serve the living God!

Hebrews 10:8-12

8 Saying above, “Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offerings for sin, You have not desired, nor have You delighted in” (which are offered according to the Law), 9 then He said, “Behold, I have come to do Your will.” He takes away the first that He might establish the second. 10 By that will, we are having been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. 11 And indeed every priest stands every day, ministering and offering the same sacrifices repeatedly, which never are able to take away sins. 12 But this One, having offered one sacrifice for sins in perpetuity, sat down at the right hand of God,

1 Corinthians 1:18-24

18 For the message of the cross is foolishness to those indeed perishing, but to us being saved it is the power of God. 19 For it has been written: “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise; and the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate.” 20 Where is the wise man? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? 21 For since in the wisdom of God, the world through its wisdom did not know God, God was pleased through the foolishness of the proclamation to save those believing. 22 Forasmuch as both Jews ask for signs, and Greeks seek wisdom, 23 we, however, preach Christ having been crucified, a stumbling block indeed to the Jewish and foolishness to Gentiles, 24 but those called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.

Hebrews 4:12-13

12 For the word of God is living and active, and sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating even as far as the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrows, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart. 13 And there is no creature hidden before Him, but all things are uncovered and laid bare to the eyes of Him to whom is our reckoning.

James 1:18-21

18 Having willed it, He brought us forth by the word of truth, for us to be a kind of firstfruits of His creatures. 19 Know this, my beloved brothers. Matthew 20:1-15

1 For the kingdom of the heavens is like to a man, a master of a house, who went out in the morning to hire workmen for his vineyard. 2 And having agreed with the workmen on a denarius for the day, he sent them into his vineyard. 3 And having gone out about the third hour, he saw others standing idle in the marketplace, 4 and to them he said, ‘You also go into the vineyard, and I will give you whatever might be right.’ 5 And they went. And having gone out again about the sixth and ninth hour, he did likewise. 6 And about the eleventh having gone out, he found others standing, and says to them, ‘Why do you stand here all the day idle?’ 7 They say to him, ‘Because no one has hired us.’ He says to them, ‘You go also into the vineyard.’ 8 And evening having arrived, the master of the vineyard says to his foreman, ‘Call the workmen and pay them the wages, having begun from the last, up to the first.’ 9 And those hired about the eleventh hour having come, they received a denarius each. 10 And the first having come, they thought that they will receive more, but they themselves also received a denarius each. 11 And having received it, they were grumbling against the master of the house, 12 saying, ‘These the last have worked one hour, and you have made them equal to us, the ones having borne the burden of the day and the scorching heat.’ 13 And answering one of them, he said, ‘Friend, I am doing you no wrong. Did you not agree with me for a denarius? 14 Take what is yours and go; and I desire to give to this last, as to you also. 15 Or is it not lawful for me to do what I will with that which is mine? Or is your eye envious because I am generous?’

Matthew 21:33-43

33 Hear another parable: There was a man, a master of a house, who planted a vineyard, and placed around it a fence, and dug a winepress in it, and built a tower; and he rented it out to farmers and traveled abroad. 34 And when the season of the fruits drew near, he sent his servants to the farmers, to receive his fruits. 35 And the farmers having taken his servants, one they beat, and one they killed, and one they stoned. 36 Again he sent other servants, more than the first, and they did likewise to them. 37 And afterward he sent his son to them, saying, ‘They will respect my son.’ 38 But the farmers having seen the son, said among themselves, ‘This is the heir; come, let us kill him and gain possession of his inheritance.’ 39 And having taking him, they cast him out of the vineyard and killed him. 40 Therefore when the master of the vineyard shall come, what will he do to those farmers?” 41 They say to him, “He will destroy them, the wretches, grievously, and he will rent out the vineyard to other farmers who will give to him the fruits in their seasons.” 42 Jesus says to them, “Did you never read in the Scriptures: ‘The stone that those building rejected, this has become the chief corner. This was from the Lord, and it is marvelous in our eyes’? 43 Because of this I say to you that the kingdom of God will be taken away from you, and will be given to a people producing its fruits.

My oxen and the fatlings have been killed, and all things are ready; come to the wedding feast.”’ 5 And having paid no attention they went away, one to the own field, and one to his business. 6 And the rest, having laid hold of his servants, mistreated and killed them. 7 And the king was angry, and having sent his armies, he destroyed those murderers and burned their city.

How often would I have gathered together your children, the way in which a hen gathers together her chicks under the wings, and you were not willing!
