²⁵ Because of this I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you should eat or what you should drink; nor your body, what you should put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing?

²⁷ What I tell you in the darkness, speak in the light; and what you hear in the ear, proclaim upon the housetops!

¹⁵ and the one upon the housetop, let him not come down nor go in to take anything out of his house; ¹⁶ and the one in the field, let him not return to the things behind to take his clothing.

¹⁹ And not having found what way they should bring him in, on account of the crowd, having gone up on the housetop, they let him down with the mat through the tiles, into the midst before Jesus.

³ Instead, whatever you have said in the darkness will be heard in the light, and what you have spoken into the ear in the inner rooms will be proclaimed upon the housetops.
