³⁵ For whoever might desire to save his life will lose it, and whoever will lose his life on account of Me and of the gospel, he will save it.

¹⁰ Blessed are those having been persecuted on account of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of the heavens. ¹¹ Blessed are you when they shall insult you and shall persecute you, and lying shall say all kinds of evil against you on account of Me. ¹² Rejoice and exult, because great is your reward in the heavens; for thus they persecuted the prophets before you.

²² And you will be hated by all on account of My name; but the one having endured to the end, he will be saved.

³⁹ The one having found his life will lose it, and the one having lost his life on account of Me will find it.

²⁵ For whoever might desire to save his life will lose it; but whoever might lose his life on account of Me will find it.

²⁹ And everyone who has left houses, or brothers, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for the sake of My name, will receive a hundredfold, and will inherit eternal life.

²² Blessed are you when men shall hate you, and when they shall exclude you, and shall insult you, and shall cast out your name as evil, on account of the Son of Man. ²³ Rejoice in that day, and leap for joy; for behold, your reward is great in heaven. For their fathers according to these things used to treat the prophets likewise.

²⁴ For whoever might desire to save his life will lose it; but whoever might lose his life on account of me, he will save it.

³³ Whoever may seek to save his life will lose it; but whoever will lose it will preserve it.

²⁵ The one loving his life loses it, and the one hating his life in this world will keep it to eternal life. ²⁶ If anyone serves Me, let him follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will be also. If anyone serves Me, the Father will honor him.

²⁰ Remember the word that I said to you: ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you; if they kept My word, they will keep yours also. ²¹ But they will do all these things against you on account of My name, because they have not known the One having sent Me.

¹⁶ For I will show to him how much it behooves him to suffer for My name.”

²⁴ But I make my life neither dear nor any account to myself, so as to finish my course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus: to testify fully the gospel of the grace of God.

¹³ Then Paul answered, “What are you doing, weeping and breaking my heart? For I have readiness not only to be bound, but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.”

²³ Now I do all things on account of the gospel, that I might become a fellow partaker with it.

¹⁰ Therefore I take pleasure in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, and difficulties for Christ; for when I might be weak, then I am strong.

⁸ Therefore you should not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me, His prisoner; but suffer together for the gospel, according to the power of God,

¹¹ Trustworthy is the saying: For if we have died together with Him, we will also live together with Him; ¹² if we endure, we will also reign together with Him; if we will deny Him, He also will deny us; ¹³ if we are faithless, He remains faithful, for He is not able to deny Himself.

⁶ For already I am being poured out, and the time of my departure is come. ⁷ I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. ⁸ From now on the crown of righteousness is laid up for me, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me in that day; but not only to me, but also to all those loving His appearing.

³⁵ Women received back their dead by resurrection; and others were tortured, not having accepted release, so that they might obtain a better resurrection.

¹² Beloved, do not be surprised at the fire among you taking place for a trial to you, as if a strange thing were happening to you. ¹³ But as you have shared in the sufferings of Christ, rejoice, so that also in the revelation of His glory you may rejoice, exulting. ¹⁴ If you are insulted in the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you. ¹⁵ For let not any of you suffer as a murderer, or a thief, or an evildoer, or as a troublesome meddler, ¹⁶ but if as a Christian, let him not be ashamed, but let him glorify God in this name.

¹⁰ Do not fear what you are about to suffer. Behold, the devil is about to cast some of you into prison, so that you might be tested; and you shall have tribulation ten days. Be faithful unto death, and I will give to you the crown of life.

¹⁴ And I said to him, “My lord, you know.” And he said to me, “These are the ones coming out of the great tribulation, and they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

¹¹ And they have overcome him by reason of the blood of the Lamb, and by reason of the word of their testimony; and they have not loved their life unto death.
