⁷ And they led the colt to Jesus, and they cast upon it their cloaks, and He sat on it.

⁴ And this came to pass, that it might be fulfilled that having been spoken by the prophet, saying, ⁵ “Say to the daughter of Zion, ‘Behold, your King comes to you, gentle and mounted on a donkey, even upon a colt, the foal of a beast of burden.’”

⁷ brought the donkey and the colt and put their cloaks upon them, and He sat on them. ⁸ And the very great crowd spread their the cloaks on the road, and others were cutting down branches from the trees and were spreading them on the road.

³⁵ And they led it to Jesus, and having cast their garments on the colt, they put Jesus on it. ³⁶ And as He is going, they were spreading their garments on the road.

¹² On the next day the great crowd having come to the feast, having heard that Jesus is coming into Jerusalem, ¹³ took the branches of the palm trees and went out to meet Him, and were shouting: “Hosanna!” “Blessed is the One coming in the name of the Lord!” “And the King of Israel!” ¹⁴ Now Jesus, having found a young donkey, sat upon it, as it is written: ¹⁵ “Fear not, daughter of Zion. Behold, your King comes, sitting on a colt of a donkey.” ¹⁶ His disciples did not know these things from the first, but when Jesus was glorified, then they remembered that these things were written of Him, and these things they had done to Him.
