²⁷ But to you hearing I say: Love your enemies, do good to those hating you,

⁴³ You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ ⁴⁴ But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those persecuting you, ⁴⁵ so that you may be sons of your Father in the heavens. For He makes His sun rise on evil and good, and He sends rain on righteous and unrighteous.

²⁴ And He was saying to them, “Take heed what you hear. With what measure you measure it will be measured to you, and more will be added to you.

²² Blessed are you when men shall hate you, and when they shall exclude you, and shall insult you, and shall cast out your name as evil, on account of the Son of Man.

³⁵ But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return, and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High; for He is kind to the ungrateful and evil.

⁸ And other fell upon the good soil, and having sprung up, it produced fruit—a hundredfold.” Saying these things, He was calling out, “The one having ears to hear, let him hear.”

¹⁵ And that in the good soil, these are those who, having heard the word, keep it in a worthy and good heart and bring forth fruit by perseverance.

¹⁸ Therefore take heed how you hear; for whoever might have, to him will be given; and whoever might not have, even what he seems to have will be taken away from him.”

³⁴ And Jesus was saying, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do.” And they cast lots, dividing His garments.

⁶⁰ And having fallen on his knees, he cried in a loud voice, “Lord, do not place this sin to them.” And having said this, he fell asleep.

³⁸ Jesus from Nazareth, how God anointed Him with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all those being oppressed by the devil, because God was with Him.

¹⁷ repaying to no one evil for evil, providing right before all men; ¹⁸ if possible of you, living at peace with all men; ¹⁹ never avenging yourselves, beloved; instead give place to wrath, for it has been written: “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay, says the Lord.” ²⁰ On the contrary, “If your enemy should hunger, feed him; if he should thirst, give him to drink; for doing this, you will heap coals of fire upon his head.” ²¹ Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

¹⁰ So then, as we have occasion, we should work good toward all, and especially toward those of the household of the faith.

¹⁵ See that no one has repaid to anyone evil for evil, but always pursue the good also toward one another and toward all.

¹¹ Beloved, do not imitate what is evil, but what is good. The one doing good is of God; the one doing evil has not seen God.
