⁷ And having gone quickly, say to His disciples that He is risen from the dead and behold, He goes before you into Galilee; you will see Him there. Behold, I have told you.” ⁸ And having gone out quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy, they ran to tell His disciples.

⁹ And having risen early the first day of the week, He appeared first to Mary Magdalene, from whom He had cast out seven demons. ¹⁰ She having gone, told it to those having been with Him, mourning and weeping.

¹ But the first day of the week, very early morning, they came to the tomb, bringing the spices that they had prepared, ² and they found the stone having been rolled away from the tomb. ³ But having entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. ⁴ And it came to pass that while they are perplexed about this, behold, two men in dazzling garments stood by them; ⁵ and of them having become terrified and bowing the faces to the ground, they said to them, “Why do you seek the living among the dead? ⁶ He is not here, but He is risen! Remember how He spoke to you, being yet in Galilee, ⁷ saying, ‘It behooves the Son of Man to be delivered into hands of sinful men, and to be crucified, and the third day to arise.’” ⁸ And they remembered His words. ⁹ And having returned from the tomb, they related all these things to the eleven and to all the rest. ¹⁰ Now it was Mary Magdalene, and Joanna, and Mary the mother of James, and the other women with them, who were telling these things to the apostles. ¹¹ And their words appeared before them like folly, and they did not believe them.

¹ Now on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene comes to the tomb early, it being still dark, and she sees the stone having been removed from the tomb. ² So she runs and comes to Simon Peter and to the other disciple, whom Jesus loved, and she says to them, “They have taken away the Lord out of the tomb, and we do not know where they have laid Him.”

¹⁸ Mary Magdalene comes bringing word to the disciples, “I have seen the Lord,” and that He had said these things to her.
