³ it seemed good also to me, having been acquainted with all things carefully from the first, to write with method to you, most excellent Theophilus,

¹ Inasmuch as many have undertaken to draw up a narration concerning the things having been accomplished among us,

¹ In the first account I composed, O Theophilus, concerning all the things that Jesus began both to do and to teach,

⁴ Now Peter having begun, set forth to them in order, saying,
