⁶ Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience.

¹² Therefore my beloved, just as always you have obeyed, not only as in my presence, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

⁶ because of which things the wrath of God is coming on the sons of disobedience,

¹⁶ They profess to know God, but in their works they deny Him, being detestable and disobedient and unfit for any good work.

³ For we ourselves were also once foolish, disobedient, being deceived, serving various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, hating one another.

¹² Take heed, brothers, lest ever there will be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, into falling away from the living God.

¹⁸ And to whom did He swear that they shall not enter into His rest, if not to those having disobeyed?

¹¹ And we desire each of you to show the same earnestness, toward the full assurance of the hope unto the end,

¹⁰ Therefore, brothers, be diligent, rather, to make your calling and election sure. For practicing these things, never at any time shall you stumble. ¹¹ For in this way the entrance into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will be richly supplied to you.
