²² Καὶ (And) οἱ (the) γραμματεῖς (scribes), οἱ (those) ἀπὸ (from) Ἱεροσολύμων (Jerusalem) καταβάντες (having come down), ἔλεγον (were saying) ὅτι (-), “Βεελζεβοὺλ (Beelzebul) ἔχει (He has),” καὶ (and) ὅτι (-) “Ἐν (By) τῷ (the) ἄρχοντι (prince) τῶν (of the) δαιμονίων (demons) ἐκβάλλει (He casts out) τὰ (the) δαιμόνια (demons).”

³⁴ Οἱ (The) δὲ (now) Φαρισαῖοι (Pharisees) ἔλεγον (were saying), “Ἐν (By) τῷ (the) ἄρχοντι (prince) τῶν (of the) δαιμονίων (demons) ἐκβάλλει (He casts out) τὰ (-) δαιμόνια (demons).”

²⁵ ἀρκετὸν (It is sufficient) τῷ (for the) μαθητῇ (disciple) ἵνα (that) γένηται (he become) ὡς (as) ὁ (the) διδάσκαλος (teacher) αὐτοῦ (of him), καὶ (and) ὁ (the) δοῦλος (servant) ὡς (as) ὁ (the) κύριος (master) αὐτοῦ (of him). εἰ (If) τὸν (the) οἰκοδεσπότην (master of the house) Βεελζεβοὺλ (Beelzebul) ἐπεκάλεσαν (they called), πόσῳ (how much) μᾶλλον (more) τοὺς (those) οἰκιακοὺς (house members) αὐτοῦ (of him)!

¹⁸ Ἦλθεν (Came) γὰρ (for) Ἰωάννης (John) μήτε (neither) ἐσθίων (eating) μήτε (nor) πίνων (drinking), καὶ (and) λέγουσιν (they say), ‘Δαιμόνιον (A demon) ἔχει (he has)!’

²⁴ Οἱ (-) δὲ (And) Φαρισαῖοι (the Pharisees), ἀκούσαντες (having heard), εἶπον (said), “Οὗτος (This man) οὐκ (not) ἐκβάλλει (casts out) τὰ (the) δαιμόνια (demons), εἰ (if) μὴ (not) ἐν (by) τῷ (-) Βεελζεβοὺλ (Beelzebul) ἄρχοντι (prince) τῶν (of the) δαιμονίων (demons).”

¹ Τότε (Then) προσέρχονται (come) τῷ (-) Ἰησοῦ (to Jesus) ἀπὸ (from) Ἱεροσολύμων (Jerusalem) Φαρισαῖοι (Pharisees) καὶ (and) γραμματεῖς (scribes), λέγοντες (saying),

¹ Καὶ (And) συνάγονται (are gathered together) πρὸς (to) αὐτὸν (Him) οἱ (the) Φαρισαῖοι (Pharisees) καί (and) τινες (some) τῶν (of the) γραμματέων (scribes), ἐλθόντες (having come) ἀπὸ (from) Ἱεροσολύμων (Jerusalem).

¹⁷ Καὶ (And) ἐγένετο (it came to pass) ἐν (on) μιᾷ (one) τῶν (of the) ἡμερῶν (days) καὶ (that) αὐτὸς (He) ἦν (was) διδάσκων (teaching), καὶ (and) ἦσαν (there were) καθήμενοι (sitting by) Φαρισαῖοι (Pharisees) καὶ (and) νομοδιδάσκαλοι (teachers of the law), οἳ (who) ἦσαν (were) ἐληλυθότες (come) ἐκ (out of) πάσης (every) κώμης (village) τῆς (-) Γαλιλαίας (of Galilee), καὶ (and) Ἰουδαίας (of Judea), καὶ (and) Ἰερουσαλήμ (of Jerusalem). καὶ (And) δύναμις (the power) Κυρίου (of the Lord) ἦν (was there) εἰς (for) τὸ (-) ἰᾶσθαι (to heal) αὐτόν (Him).

¹⁵ τινὲς (Some) δὲ (then) ἐξ (of) αὐτῶν (them) εἶπον* (said), “Ἐν (By) Βεελζεβοὺλ (Beelzebul) τῷ (the) ἄρχοντι (prince) τῶν (of the) δαιμονίων (demons) ἐκβάλλει (He casts out) τὰ (the) δαιμόνια (demons).”

²⁰ Ἀπεκρίθη (Answered) ὁ (the) ὄχλος (crowd), “Δαιμόνιον (A demon) ἔχεις (You have); τίς (who) σε (You) ζητεῖ (seeks) ἀποκτεῖναι (to kill)?”

⁴⁸ Ἀπεκρίθησαν (Answered) οἱ (the) Ἰουδαῖοι (Jews) καὶ (and) εἶπαν (said) αὐτῷ (to Him), “Οὐ (Not) καλῶς (rightly) λέγομεν (say) ἡμεῖς (we) ὅτι (that) Σαμαρίτης (a Samaritan) εἶ (are) σὺ (You), καὶ (and) δαιμόνιον (a demon) ἔχεις (have)?”

⁵² [Εἶπον (Said) οὖν] (therefore) αὐτῷ (to Him) οἱ (the) Ἰουδαῖοι (Jews), “Νῦν (Now) ἐγνώκαμεν (we know) ὅτι (that) δαιμόνιον (a demon) ἔχεις (You have). Ἀβραὰμ (Abraham) ἀπέθανεν (died), καὶ (and) οἱ (the) προφῆται (prophets), καὶ (and) σὺ (You) λέγεις (say), ‘Ἐάν (If) τις (anyone) τὸν (the) λόγον (word) μου (of Me) τηρήσῃ (keeps), οὐ (never) μὴ (not) γεύσηται (shall he taste) θανάτου (of death), εἰς (to) τὸν (the) αἰῶνα (age).’
