¹⁵ καὶ (And) αὐτὸς (He) ἐδίδασκεν (was teaching) ἐν (in) ταῖς (the) συναγωγαῖς (synagogues) αὐτῶν (of them), δοξαζόμενος (being glorified) ὑπὸ (by) πάντων (all).

²³ Καὶ (And) περιῆγεν (He was going) ἐν (throughout) ὅλῃ (all) τῇ (-) Γαλιλαίᾳ (Galilee), διδάσκων (teaching) ἐν (in) ταῖς (the) συναγωγαῖς (synagogues) αὐτῶν (of them), καὶ (and) κηρύσσων (proclaiming) τὸ (the) εὐαγγέλιον (gospel) τῆς (of the) βασιλείας (kingdom), καὶ (and) θεραπεύων (healing) πᾶσαν (every) νόσον (disease) καὶ (and) πᾶσαν (every) μαλακίαν (sickness) ἐν (among) τῷ (the) λαῷ (people).

⁸ Ἰδόντες (Having seen) δὲ (now), οἱ (the) ὄχλοι (crowds) ἐφοβήθησαν (marveled) καὶ (and) ἐδόξασαν (glorified) τὸν (-) Θεὸν (God), τὸν (the One) δόντα (having given) ἐξουσίαν (authority) τοιαύτην (such) τοῖς (-) ἀνθρώποις (to men).

³⁵ Καὶ (And) περιῆγεν (was going throughout) ὁ (-) Ἰησοῦς (Jesus) τὰς (the) πόλεις (cities) πάσας (all) καὶ (and) τὰς (the) κώμας (villages), διδάσκων (teaching) ἐν (in) ταῖς (the) συναγωγαῖς (synagogues) αὐτῶν (of them), καὶ (and) κηρύσσων (proclaiming) τὸ (the) εὐαγγέλιον (gospel) τῆς (of the) βασιλείας (kingdom), καὶ (and) θεραπεύων (healing) πᾶσαν (every) νόσον (disease) καὶ (and) πᾶσαν (every) μαλακίαν (sickness).

⁵⁴ καὶ (And) ἐλθὼν (having come) εἰς (into) τὴν (the) πατρίδα (region) αὐτοῦ (His own), ἐδίδασκεν (He was teaching) αὐτοὺς (them) ἐν (in) τῇ (the) συναγωγῇ (synagogue) αὐτῶν (of them), ὥστε (so that) ἐκπλήσσεσθαι (are astonished) αὐτοὺς (they) καὶ (and) λέγειν (are saying), “Πόθεν (From where) τούτῳ (to this man) ἡ (the) σοφία (wisdom) αὕτη (this) καὶ (and) αἱ (the) δυνάμεις (miraculous powers)?

²⁷ Καὶ (And) ἐθαμβήθησαν (were astonished) ἅπαντες (all), ὥστε (so as) ‹συζητεῖν (to question) πρὸς (among) ἑαυτοὺς› (themselves), λέγοντας (saying), “Τί (What) ἐστιν (is) τοῦτο (this) διδαχὴ (teaching) καινή (new)? κατ’ (With) ἐξουσίαν (authority), καὶ (even) τοῖς (the) πνεύμασι (spirits) τοῖς (-) ἀκαθάρτοις (unclean) ἐπιτάσσει (He commands), καὶ (and) ὑπακούουσιν (they obey) αὐτῷ (Him)!”

³⁹ καὶ (And) ἦλθεν (He was going), κηρύσσων (preaching) εἰς (in) τὰς (the) συναγωγὰς (synagogues) αὐτῶν (of them), εἰς (in) ὅλην (all) τὴν (-) Γαλιλαίαν (Galilee), καὶ (and) τὰ (-) δαιμόνια (demons) ἐκβάλλων (casting out).

⁴⁵ Ὁ (-) δὲ (And) ἐξελθὼν (having gone out), ἤρξατο (he began) κηρύσσειν (to proclaim) πολλὰ (much) καὶ (and) διαφημίζειν (to spread abroad) τὸν (the) λόγον (matter), ὥστε (so that) μηκέτι (no longer) αὐτὸν (He) δύνασθαι (was able) φανερῶς (openly) εἰς (into the) πόλιν (city) εἰσελθεῖν (to enter); ἀλλ’ (but) ἔξω (out) ἐπ’ (in) ἐρήμοις (solitary) τόποις (places) ἦν (He was), καὶ (and) ἤρχοντο (they were coming) πρὸς (to) αὐτὸν (Him) πάντοθεν (from every quarter).

¹⁶ Καὶ (And) ἦλθεν (He came) εἰς (to) Ναζαρά (Nazareth), οὗ (where) ἦν (He had been) τεθραμμένος (brought up); καὶ (and) εἰσῆλθεν (He entered) κατὰ (according to) τὸ (the) εἰωθὸς (custom) αὐτῷ (to Him), ἐν (on) τῇ (the) ἡμέρᾳ (day) τῶν (of the) σαββάτων (Sabbaths), εἰς (into) τὴν (the) συναγωγήν (synagogue), καὶ (and) ἀνέστη (stood up) ἀναγνῶναι (to read).

¹⁰ Ἦν (He was) δὲ (now) διδάσκων (teaching) ἐν (in) μιᾷ (one) τῶν (of the) συναγωγῶν (synagogues) ἐν (on) τοῖς (the) σάββασιν (Sabbaths).
