⁹ Οὕτως (Thus) οὖν (therefore) προσεύχεσθε (pray) ὑμεῖς (you): ‘Πάτερ (Father) ἡμῶν (of us), ὁ (who is) ἐν (in) τοῖς (the) οὐρανοῖς (heavens), Ἁγιασθήτω (hallowed be) τὸ (the) ὄνομά (name) σου (of You).

¹³ Καὶ (And) μὴ (not) εἰσενέγκῃς (lead) ἡμᾶς (us) εἰς (into) πειρασμόν (temptation), Ἀλλὰ (but) ῥῦσαι (deliver) ἡμᾶς (us) ἀπὸ (from) τοῦ (-) πονηροῦ (evil).’

²³ Ἀπεκρίθη (Answered) Ἰησοῦς (Jesus) καὶ (and) εἶπεν (said) αὐτῷ (to him), “Ἐάν (If) τις (anyone) ἀγαπᾷ (loves) με (Me), τὸν (the) λόγον (word) μου (of Me) τηρήσει (he will keep), καὶ (and) ὁ (the) Πατήρ (Father) μου (of Me) ἀγαπήσει (will love) αὐτόν (him), καὶ (and) πρὸς (to) αὐτὸν (him) ἐλευσόμεθα (we will come), καὶ (and) μονὴν (a home) παρ’ (with) αὐτῷ (him) ποιησόμεθα (will make).

²⁶ καὶ (And) ἐγνώρισα (I made known) αὐτοῖς (to them) τὸ (the) ὄνομά (name) σου (of You), καὶ (and) γνωρίσω (will make it known), ἵνα (so that) ἡ (the) ἀγάπη (love) ἣν (with which) ἠγάπησάς (You loved) με (Me) ἐν (in) αὐτοῖς (them) ᾖ (may be), κἀγὼ (and I) ἐν (in) αὐτοῖς (them).”

¹⁷ Λέγει (Says) αὐτῇ (to her) Ἰησοῦς (Jesus), “Μή (Not) μου (Me) ἅπτου (touch), οὔπω (not yet) γὰρ (for) ἀναβέβηκα (have I ascended) πρὸς (to) τὸν (the) Πατέρα (Father); πορεύου (go) δὲ (however) πρὸς (to) τοὺς (the) ἀδελφούς (brothers) μου (of Me) καὶ (and) εἰπὲ (say) αὐτοῖς (to them), ‘Ἀναβαίνω (I am ascending) πρὸς (to) τὸν (the) Πατέρα (Father) μου (of Me) καὶ (and) Πατέρα (Father) ὑμῶν (of you), καὶ (and to) Θεόν (God) μου (of Me) καὶ (and) Θεὸν (God) ὑμῶν (of you).’”

³⁶ ὅτι (For) ἐξ (from) αὐτοῦ (Him), καὶ (and) δι’ (through) αὐτοῦ (Him), καὶ (and) εἰς (unto) αὐτὸν (Him) τὰ (-) πάντα (are all things). αὐτῷ (To Him be) ἡ (the) δόξα (glory) εἰς (to) τοὺς (the) αἰῶνας (ages)! ἀμήν (Amen).

⁶ ἀλλ’ (yet) ἡμῖν (to us) εἷς (there is one) Θεὸς (God), ὁ (the) Πατήρ (Father), ἐξ (of) οὗ (whom are) τὰ (the things) πάντα (all), καὶ (and) ἡμεῖς (we) εἰς (for) αὐτόν (Him); καὶ (and) εἷς (one) Κύριος (Lord), Ἰησοῦς (Jesus) Χριστός (Christ), δι’ (by) οὗ (whom are) τὰ (the things) πάντα (all), καὶ (and) ἡμεῖς (we) δι’ (through) αὐτοῦ (Him).

⁶ καὶ (and) διαιρέσεις (varieties) ἐνεργημάτων (of workings) εἰσίν (there are), ὁ (the) δὲ (but) αὐτὸς (same) Θεός (God) ὁ (-) ἐνεργῶν (is working) τὰ (the) πάντα (all things) ἐν (in) πᾶσιν (everyone).

¹⁶ τίς (What) δὲ (now) συνκατάθεσις (agreement) ναῷ (the temple) Θεοῦ (of God) μετὰ (with) εἰδώλων (idols)? ἡμεῖς (We) γὰρ (for) ναὸς (the temple) Θεοῦ (of God) ἐσμεν (are), ζῶντος (the living), καθὼς (as) εἶπεν (has said) ὁ (-) Θεὸς (God) ὅτι (-): “Ἐνοικήσω (I will dwell) ἐν (in) αὐτοῖς (them), καὶ (and) ἐμπεριπατήσω* (will walk among them); καὶ (and) ἔσομαι (I will be) αὐτῶν (their) Θεός (God), καὶ (and) αὐτοὶ (they) ἔσονταί (will be) μου (to Me) λαός (a people).”

²⁶ Πάντες (All) γὰρ (for) υἱοὶ (sons) Θεοῦ (of God) ἐστε (you are) διὰ (through) τῆς (-) πίστεως (faith) ἐν (in) Χριστῷ (Christ) Ἰησοῦ (Jesus). ²⁷ ὅσοι (As many as) γὰρ (for) εἰς (into) Χριστὸν (Christ) ἐβαπτίσθητε (you were baptized), Χριστὸν (Christ) ἐνεδύσασθε (you have put on). ²⁸ οὐκ (Neither) ἔνι (there is) Ἰουδαῖος (Jew) οὐδὲ (nor) Ἕλλην (Greek); οὐκ (neither) ἔνι (there is) δοῦλος (slave) οὐδὲ (nor) ἐλεύθερος (free); οὐκ (neither) ἔνι (there is) ἄρσεν (male) καὶ (and) θῆλυ (female); πάντες (all) γὰρ (for) ὑμεῖς (you) εἷς (one) ἐστε (are) ἐν (in) Χριστῷ (Christ) Ἰησοῦ (Jesus).

³ οὕτως (So) καὶ (also) ἡμεῖς (we), ὅτε (when) ἦμεν (we were) νήπιοι (children), ὑπὸ (under) τὰ (the) στοιχεῖα (basic principles) τοῦ (of the) κόσμου (world) ἤμεθα (were) δεδουλωμένοι (held in bondage). ⁴ Ὅτε (When) δὲ (however) ἦλθεν (had come) τὸ (the) πλήρωμα (fullness) τοῦ (of the) χρόνου (time), ἐξαπέστειλεν (sent forth) ὁ (-) Θεὸς (God) τὸν (the) Υἱὸν (Son) αὐτοῦ (of him), γενόμενον (having been born) ἐκ (of) γυναικός (a woman), γενόμενον (having been born) ὑπὸ (under) νόμον (the Law), ⁵ ἵνα (that) τοὺς (those) ὑπὸ (under) νόμον (the Law) ἐξαγοράσῃ (He might redeem), ἵνα (so that) τὴν (the) υἱοθεσίαν (divine adoption as sons) ἀπολάβωμεν (we might receive). ⁶ Ὅτι (Because) δέ (now) ἐστε (you are) υἱοί (sons), ἐξαπέστειλεν (sent forth) ὁ (-) Θεὸς (God) τὸ (the) Πνεῦμα (Spirit) τοῦ (of the) Υἱοῦ (Son) αὐτοῦ (of Him) εἰς (into) τὰς (the) καρδίας (hearts) ἡμῶν (of us), κρᾶζον (crying out), “Ἀββᾶ (Abba), ὁ (-) Πατήρ (Father)!” ⁷ ὥστε (So) οὐκέτι (no longer) εἶ (you are) δοῦλος (a slave), ἀλλὰ (but) υἱός (a son); εἰ (if) δὲ (now) υἱός (a son), καὶ (also) κληρονόμος (an heir) διὰ (through) Θεοῦ (God).

²¹ ὑπεράνω (above) πάσης (every) ἀρχῆς (principality) καὶ (and) ἐξουσίας (authority) καὶ (and) δυνάμεως (power) καὶ (and) κυριότητος (dominion), καὶ (and) παντὸς (every) ὀνόματος (name) ὀνομαζομένου (being named), οὐ (not) μόνον (only) ἐν (in) τῷ (the) αἰῶνι (age) τούτῳ (this), ἀλλὰ (but) καὶ (also) ἐν (in) τῷ (the one) μέλλοντι (coming).

²² ἐν (in) ᾧ (whom) καὶ (also) ὑμεῖς (you) συνοικοδομεῖσθε (are being built together) εἰς (for) κατοικητήριον (a habitation) τοῦ (-) Θεοῦ (of God) ἐν (in) Πνεύματι (the Spirit).

¹⁷ κατοικῆσαι (for to dwell) τὸν (-) Χριστὸν (Christ) διὰ (through) τῆς (-) πίστεως (faith) ἐν (in) ταῖς (the) καρδίαις (hearts) ὑμῶν (of you), ἐν (in) ἀγάπῃ (love) ἐρριζωμένοι (being rooted) καὶ (and) τεθεμελιωμένοι (being founded),

²³ Εἰρήνη (Peace) τοῖς (to the) ἀδελφοῖς (brothers) καὶ (and) ἀγάπη (love) μετὰ (with) πίστεως (faith) ἀπὸ (from) Θεοῦ (God) Πατρὸς (the Father) καὶ (and) Κυρίου (the Lord) Ἰησοῦ (Jesus) Χριστοῦ (Christ).

¹ Ἴδετε (Behold) ποταπὴν (what) ἀγάπην (love) δέδωκεν (has given) ἡμῖν (to us) ὁ (the) Πατὴρ (Father), ἵνα (that) τέκνα (children) Θεοῦ (of God) κληθῶμεν (we should be called) — καὶ (and) ἐσμέν (we are)! διὰ (Because of) τοῦτο (this), ὁ (the) κόσμος (world) οὐ (not) γινώσκει (knows) ἡμᾶς (us), ὅτι (because) οὐκ (not) ἔγνω (it knew) αὐτόν (Him). ² Ἀγαπητοί (Beloved), νῦν (now) τέκνα (children) Θεοῦ (of God) ἐσμεν (are we), καὶ (and) οὔπω (not yet) ἐφανερώθη (has been revealed) τί (what) ἐσόμεθα (we will be). οἴδαμεν (We know) ὅτι (that) ἐὰν (when) φανερωθῇ (He appears), ὅμοιοι (like) αὐτῷ (Him) ἐσόμεθα (we will be), ὅτι (for) ὀψόμεθα (we will see) αὐτὸν (Him) καθώς (as) ἐστιν (He is). ³ καὶ (And) πᾶς (everyone) ὁ (-) ἔχων (having) τὴν (the) ἐλπίδα (hope) ταύτην (this) ἐπ’ (in) αὐτῷ (Him), ἁγνίζει (purifies) ἑαυτὸν (himself), καθὼς (just as) ἐκεῖνος (He) ἁγνός (pure) ἐστιν (is).

²⁴ καὶ (And) ὁ (the one) τηρῶν (keeping) τὰς (the) ἐντολὰς (commandments) αὐτοῦ (of Him), ἐν (in) αὐτῷ (Him) μένει (abides), καὶ (and) αὐτὸς (He) ἐν (in) αὐτῷ (him). καὶ (And) ἐν (by) τούτῳ (this) γινώσκομεν (we know) ὅτι (that) μένει (He abides) ἐν (in) ἡμῖν (us), ἐκ (by) τοῦ (the) Πνεύματος (Spirit) οὗ (whom) ἡμῖν (to us) ἔδωκεν (He has given).

¹² Θεὸν (God) οὐδεὶς (no one) πώποτε (at any time) τεθέαται (has seen); ἐὰν (if) ἀγαπῶμεν (we should love) ἀλλήλους (one another), ὁ (-) Θεὸς (God) ἐν (in) ἡμῖν (us) μένει (abides) καὶ (and) ἡ (the) ἀγάπη (love) αὐτοῦ (of Him) τετελειωμένη (having been perfected) «ἐν (in) ἡμῖν» (us) ἐστιν (is). ¹³ ἐν (By) τούτῳ (this) γινώσκομεν (we know) ὅτι (that) ἐν (in) αὐτῷ (Him) μένομεν (we abide), καὶ (and) αὐτὸς (He) ἐν (in) ἡμῖν (us), ὅτι (because) ἐκ (from out) τοῦ (the) Πνεύματος (Spirit) αὐτοῦ (of Him) δέδωκεν (He has given) ἡμῖν (to us). ¹⁴ καὶ (And) ἡμεῖς (we) τεθεάμεθα (have seen) καὶ (and) μαρτυροῦμεν (testify) ὅτι (that) ὁ (the) Πατὴρ (Father) ἀπέσταλκεν (has sent) τὸν (the) Υἱὸν (Son as) Σωτῆρα (Savior) τοῦ (of the) κόσμου (world). ¹⁵ Ὃς (Whoever) ἐὰν (if) ὁμολογήσῃ (shall confess) ὅτι (that) Ἰησοῦς (Jesus) ἐστιν (is) ὁ (the) Υἱὸς (Son) τοῦ (-) Θεοῦ (of God), ὁ (-) Θεὸς (God) ἐν (in) αὐτῷ (him) μένει (abides), καὶ (and) αὐτὸς (he) ἐν (in) τῷ (-) Θεῷ (God).

⁸ καὶ (And) τὰ (the) τέσσαρα (four) ζῷα (living creatures), ἓν (one) καθ’ (for) ἓν (one) αὐτῶν (of them) ἔχων (had) ἀνὰ (respectively) πτέρυγας (wings) ἕξ (six), κυκλόθεν (all around) καὶ (and) ἔσωθεν (within) γέμουσιν (full) ὀφθαλμῶν (of eyes); καὶ (and) ἀνάπαυσιν (rest) οὐκ (not) ἔχουσιν (they have) ἡμέρας (day) καὶ (and) νυκτὸς (night), λέγοντες (saying): “Ἅγιος (Holy), ἅγιος (Holy), ἅγιος (Holy), Κύριος (Lord) ὁ (-) Θεός (God) ὁ (-) Παντοκράτωρ (Almighty), ὁ (the One) ἦν (having been), καὶ (and) ὁ (the One) ὢν (being), καὶ (and) ὁ (the One) ἐρχόμενος (coming).” ⁹ Καὶ (And) ὅταν (whenever) δώσουσιν (will give) τὰ (the) ζῷα (living creatures) δόξαν (glory) καὶ (and) τιμὴν (honor) καὶ (and) εὐχαριστίαν (thanksgiving) τῷ (to the One) καθημένῳ (sitting) ἐπὶ (upon) τῷ (the) θρόνῳ (throne), τῷ (the One) ζῶντι (living) εἰς (to) τοὺς (the) αἰῶνας (ages) τῶν (of the) αἰώνων (ages), ¹⁰ πεσοῦνται (will fall) οἱ (the) εἴκοσι (twenty) τέσσαρες (four) πρεσβύτεροι (elders) ἐνώπιον (before) τοῦ (the One) καθημένου (sitting) ἐπὶ (upon) τοῦ (the) θρόνου (throne), καὶ (and) προσκυνήσουσιν (they will worship) τῷ (the One) ζῶντι (living) εἰς (to) τοὺς (the) αἰῶνας (ages) τῶν (of the) αἰώνων (ages), καὶ (and) βαλοῦσιν (they will cast) τοὺς (the) στεφάνους (crowns) αὐτῶν (of them) ἐνώπιον (before) τοῦ (the) θρόνου (throne), λέγοντες (saying): ¹¹ “Ἄξιος (Worthy) εἶ (are You), ὁ (the) Κύριος (Lord) καὶ (and) ὁ (-) Θεὸς (God) ἡμῶν (of us), λαβεῖν (to receive) τὴν (-) δόξαν (glory) καὶ (and) τὴν (-) τιμὴν (honor) καὶ (and) τὴν (-) δύναμιν (power); ὅτι (for) σὺ (You) ἔκτισας (created) τὰ (-) πάντα (all things), καὶ (and) διὰ (because of) τὸ (the) θέλημά (will) σου (of You) ἦσαν (they existed), καὶ (and) ἐκτίσθησαν (were created).”
