⁵¹ Σκληροτράχηλοι (Stiff-necked) καὶ (and) ἀπερίτμητοι (uncircumcised) καρδίαις (in heart) καὶ (and) τοῖς (-) ὠσίν (ears), ὑμεῖς (you) ἀεὶ (always) τῷ (the) Πνεύματι (Spirit) τῷ (-) Ἁγίῳ (Holy) ἀντιπίπτετε (resist); ὡς (as) οἱ (the) πατέρες (fathers) ὑμῶν (of you), καὶ (also) ὑμεῖς (you).

³¹ ὥστε (Thus) μαρτυρεῖτε (you bear witness) ἑαυτοῖς (to yourselves) ὅτι (that) υἱοί (sons) ἐστε (you are) τῶν (of those) φονευσάντων (having murdered) τοὺς (the) προφήτας (prophets). ³² καὶ (And) ὑμεῖς (you), πληρώσατε (fill up) τὸ (the) μέτρον (measure) τῶν (of the) πατέρων (fathers) ὑμῶν (of you). ³³ ὄφεις (Serpents)! γεννήματα (Offspring) ἐχιδνῶν (of vipers)! πῶς (How) φύγητε (shall you escape) ἀπὸ (from) τῆς (the) κρίσεως (sentence) τῆς (-) γεέννης (of hell)?

¹⁰ καὶ (And) οὐκ (not) ἴσχυον (they were able) ἀντιστῆναι (to withstand) τῇ (the) σοφίᾳ (wisdom) καὶ (and) τῷ (the) Πνεύματι (Spirit) ᾧ (by whom) ἐλάλει (he was speaking).

⁹ Καὶ (And) οἱ (the) πατριάρχαι (patriarchs), ζηλώσαντες (having envied) τὸν (-) Ἰωσὴφ (Joseph), ἀπέδοντο (sold him) εἰς (into) Αἴγυπτον (Egypt). καὶ (But) ἦν (was) ὁ (-) Θεὸς (God) μετ’ (with) αὐτοῦ (him),

²⁷ Ὁ (The one) δὲ (however) ἀδικῶν (mistreating) τὸν (the) πλησίον (neighbor) ἀπώσατο (pushed away) αὐτὸν (him), εἰπών (having said), ‘Τίς (Who) σε (you) κατέστησεν (appointed), ἄρχοντα (ruler) καὶ (and) δικαστὴν (judge) ἐφ’ (over) ἡμῶν (us)?

³⁵ Τοῦτον (This) τὸν (-) Μωϋσῆν (Moses), ὃν (whom) ἠρνήσαντο (they rejected), εἰπόντες (having said), ‘Τίς (Who) σε (you) κατέστησεν (appointed) ἄρχοντα (ruler) καὶ (and) δικαστήν (judge)?’ — τοῦτον (him) ὁ (whom) Θεὸς (God as) καὶ (and) ἄρχοντα (ruler) καὶ (and) λυτρωτὴν (redeemer) ἀπέσταλκεν (sent) σὺν (by) χειρὶ (the hand) ἀγγέλου (of the angel) τοῦ (-) ὀφθέντος (having appeared) αὐτῷ (to him) ἐν (in) τῇ (the) βάτῳ (bush) —

³⁹ ᾧ (to whom) οὐκ (not) ἠθέλησαν (were willing) ὑπήκοοι (obedient) γενέσθαι (to be) οἱ (the) πατέρες (fathers) ἡμῶν (of us), ἀλλὰ (but) ἀπώσαντο (thrust away), καὶ (and) ἐστράφησαν (turned back) ἐν (in) ταῖς (the) καρδίαις (hearts) αὐτῶν (of them) εἰς (to) Αἴγυπτον (Egypt),

²⁵ Περιτομὴ (Circumcision) μὲν (indeed) γὰρ (-) ὠφελεῖ (profits), ἐὰν (if) νόμον (the law) πράσσῃς (you do); ἐὰν (if) δὲ (however) παραβάτης (a transgressor) νόμου (of law) ᾖς (you are), ἡ (the) περιτομή (circumcision) σου (of you) ἀκροβυστία (uncircumcision) γέγονεν (has become).

²⁸ Οὐ (Not) γὰρ (for) ὁ (the one) ἐν (on) τῷ (the) φανερῷ (outward) Ἰουδαῖός (a Jew) ἐστιν (is); οὐδὲ (neither) ἡ (the one) ἐν (outwardly), τῷ (the) φανερῷ (outward) ἐν (in) σαρκὶ (flesh), περιτομή (is circumcision); ²⁹ ἀλλ’ (but) ὁ (he who is) ἐν (on) τῷ (the) κρυπτῷ (inward) Ἰουδαῖος (a Jew is one); καὶ (and) περιτομὴ (circumcision is) καρδίας (of heart), ἐν (in) πνεύματι (spirit), οὐ (not) γράμματι (in letter); οὗ (of whom) ὁ (the) ἔπαινος (praise) οὐκ (is not) ἐξ (of) ἀνθρώπων (men), ἀλλ’ (but) ἐκ (of) τοῦ (-) Θεοῦ (God).

³⁰ Καὶ (And) μὴ (not) λυπεῖτε (grieve) τὸ (the) Πνεῦμα (Spirit) τὸ (-) Ἅγιον (Holy) τοῦ (-) Θεοῦ (of God), ἐν (in) ᾧ (whom) ἐσφραγίσθητε (you were sealed) εἰς (for) ἡμέραν (the day) ἀπολυτρώσεως (of redemption).

³ ἡμεῖς (We) γάρ (for) ἐσμεν (are) ἡ (the) περιτομή (circumcision), οἱ (those) Πνεύματι (in the Spirit) Θεοῦ (of God) λατρεύοντες (worshiping) καὶ (and) καυχώμενοι (glorying) ἐν (in) Χριστῷ (Christ) Ἰησοῦ (Jesus), καὶ (and) οὐκ (not) ἐν (in) σαρκὶ (the flesh) πεποιθότες (having put confidence),

¹¹ ἐν (in) ᾧ (whom) καὶ (also) περιετμήθητε (you were circumcised) περιτομῇ (with the circumcision) ἀχειροποιήτῳ (made without hands), ἐν (in) τῇ (the) ἀπεκδύσει (removal) τοῦ (of the) σώματος (body) τῆς (of the) σαρκός (flesh), ἐν (in) τῇ (the) περιτομῇ (circumcision) τοῦ (-) Χριστοῦ (of Christ),
