³⁷ Μέλλων (Being about) τε (then) εἰσάγεσθαι (to be brought) εἰς (into) τὴν (the) παρεμβολὴν (barracks), ὁ (-) Παῦλος (Paul) λέγει (says) τῷ (to the) χιλιάρχῳ (commander), “Εἰ (If) ἔξεστίν (is it permitted) μοι (to me) εἰπεῖν (to say) τι (something) πρὸς (to) σέ (you)?” Ὁ (-) δὲ (Then) ἔφη (he was saying), “Ἑλληνιστὶ (Greek) γινώσκεις (do you know)?

¹⁸ καὶ (and) ἐπὶ (before) ἡγεμόνας (governors) δὲ (also), καὶ (and) βασιλεῖς (kings) ἀχθήσεσθε (you will be brought), ἕνεκεν (on account of) ἐμοῦ (Me), εἰς (for) μαρτύριον (a testimony) αὐτοῖς (to them) καὶ (and) τοῖς (to the) ἔθνεσιν (Gentiles). ¹⁹ ὅταν (When) δὲ (then) παραδῶσιν (they deliver up) ὑμᾶς (you), μὴ (not) μεριμνήσητε (be anxious) πῶς (how) ἢ (or) τί (what) λαλήσητε (you should speak); δοθήσεται (it will be given) γὰρ (for) ὑμῖν (you) ἐν (in) ἐκείνῃ (that) τῇ (-) ὥρᾳ (hour) τί (what) λαλήσητε (you should say). ²⁰ οὐ (Not) γὰρ (for) ὑμεῖς (you) ἐστε (are) οἱ (those) λαλοῦντες (speaking), ἀλλὰ (but) τὸ (the) Πνεῦμα (Spirit) τοῦ (of the) Πατρὸς (Father) ὑμῶν (of you) τὸ (-) λαλοῦν (speaking) ἐν (through) ὑμῖν (you).

¹⁵ ἐγὼ (I) γὰρ (for) δώσω (will give) ὑμῖν (you) στόμα (a mouth) καὶ (and) σοφίαν (wisdom), ᾗ (which) οὐ (not) δυνήσονται (will be able) ἀντιστῆναι (to resist) ἢ (nor) ἀντειπεῖν (to reply to) ἅπαντες (all) οἱ (those) ἀντικείμενοι (opposing) ὑμῖν (you).

³⁰ Παύλου (Of Paul) δὲ (however) βουλομένου (intending) εἰσελθεῖν (to go in) εἰς (to) τὸν (the) δῆμον (people), οὐκ (not) εἴων (would allow) αὐτὸν (him) οἱ (the) μαθηταί (disciples).

¹⁹ καὶ (And) ἀσπασάμενος (having greeted) αὐτοὺς (them), ἐξηγεῖτο (he began to relate), καθ’ (by) ἓν (one) ἕκαστον (each), ὧν (the things) ἐποίησεν (had done) ὁ (-) Θεὸς (God) ἐν (among) τοῖς (the) ἔθνεσιν (Gentiles) διὰ (through) τῆς (the) διακονίας (ministry) αὐτοῦ (of him).

³⁴ Ἄλλοι (Others) δὲ (however), ἄλλο (another or) τι (one thing) ἐπεφώνουν (were crying out) ἐν (in) τῷ (the) ὄχλῳ (crowd). μὴ (Not) δυναμένου (being able) δὲ (now) αὐτοῦ (he) γνῶναι (to know) τὸ (the) ἀσφαλὲς (facts) διὰ (on account of) τὸν (the) θόρυβον (uproar), ἐκέλευσεν (he ordered) ἄγεσθαι (to be brought) αὐτὸν (him) εἰς (into) τὴν (the) παρεμβολήν (barracks).
