⁸ Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them: Rulers of the people, and elders of Israel,

¹⁹ But when they deliver you up, be not anxious how or what you shall speak; for that which you shall speak shall be given you in that hour: ²⁰ for it is not you that speak, but it is the Spirit of your Father that speaks in you.

¹¹ When they bring you to the synagogues, and to rulers and authorities, be not anxious how or what you shall answer, or what you shall say; ¹² for the Holy Spirit shall teach you in that hour what you ought to say.

¹⁴ Therefore, determine in your hearts not to meditate beforehand what you shall answer; ¹⁵ for I will give you a mouth, and wisdom, which all your opposers shall not be able to gainsay or withstand.

¹³ And Pilate called together the chief priests and the rulers and the people,

⁴ And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

⁵ And it came to pass, on the next day, that their rulers and elders and scribes,

³¹ And when they had prayed, the place in which they were assembled was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and spoke the word of God with boldness.
