¹² And may the Lord cause you to increase and abound in love to one another and to all, even as we toward you,

¹² All things, therefore, whatever you would that men should do to you, even so do you to them: for this is the law and the prophets.

³⁹ And the second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.

⁵ And the apostles said to the Lord: Increase our faith.

⁸ Owe no one any thing, except to love one another; for he that loves another, has fulfilled the law.

¹ Though I speak with the tongues of men and of an gels, but have not love, I have become as sounding brass, or a clanging cymbal. ² And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not love, I am nothing. ³ And though I give all my goods to feed the poor, and though I deliver up my body to be burned, and have not love, I am profited nothing. ⁴ Love suffers long, and is kind; love envies not; love boasts not; is not vain, ⁵ does nothing unbecoming, seeks not her own, is not easily provoked, thinks no evil, ⁶ rejoices not in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; ⁷ bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. ⁸ Love never fails; but whether there be gifts of prophecy, they shall have an end; or tongues, they shall cease; or knowledge, it shall have an end. ⁹ For we know in part, and we prophesy in part; ¹⁰ but when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part shall have an end. ¹¹ When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I had the mind of a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things. ¹² Now we see through a mirror, obscurely; but then, face to face; now I know in part, but then shall I know, even as I am known. ¹³ And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the great est of these is love.

¹⁰ Now, he that furnishes seed to the sower will both furnish bread for food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;

⁶ For, in Christ Jesus, neither circumcision avails any thing, nor uncircumcision, but faith that works by love.

¹³ For you have been called to freedom, brethren: only use not your freedom as an occasion for the flesh, but become servants to one another, through love. ¹⁴ For all the law is fulfilled in one commandment, in this: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.

²² But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faithfulness,

⁹ I also pray for this, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and all understanding,

⁸ so, having a strong affection for you, we were well pleased to impart to you not only the gospel of God, but our own lives also, because you had become dear to us.

¹ Finally, then, brethren, we beseech and exhort you, by our Lord Jesus, that as you learned from us how you ought to walk and please God, you would abound more and more.

⁹ But with respect to brotherly love, you have no need that I write to you: for you yourselves are taught of God to love one another; ¹⁰ and indeed you do this to all the brethren that are in all Macedonia. But we exhort you, brethren, that you abound in love more and more,

¹⁵ See that no one render evil for evil to any, but always pursue that which is good toward one another and toward all.

³ We are bound to give thanks to God always for you, brethren, as it is right, because your faith grows exceedingly, and the love of every one of you all toward each other abounds:

¹⁷ every good gift, and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no change, nor slightest trace of turning.

⁷ and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, love.

¹⁸ But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.

¹¹ For this is the message that you have heard from the beginning, that we should love one another. ¹² Not as Cain, who was of the wicked one, and slew his brother: and for what reason did he slay him? because his own works were evil, and his brother s, righteous. ¹³ Wonder not, my brethren, if the world hates you. ¹⁴ We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love the brethren: he that loves not his brother, abides in death. ¹⁵ Whoever hates his brother, is a murderer: and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him. ¹⁶ By this we know the love of Christ, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. ¹⁷ Whoever has this world's goods, and sees his brother have need, and shuts his heart against him, how dwells the love of God in him? ¹⁸ My little children, let us not love in word, nor in tongue, but in deed, and in truth. ¹⁹ And by this we know that we are of the truth; and we shall have our hearts at rest before him:

⁷ Beloved, let us love one another; for love is of God: and every one that loves, has been begotten of God, and knows God. ⁸ He that loves not, does not know God; for God is love. ⁹ In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God sent his only-begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. ¹⁰ In this is love; not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the expiation for our sins. ¹¹ Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. ¹² No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwells in us, and his love is perfected in us. ¹³ By this we know that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit. ¹⁴ And we have seen, and we do testify, that the Father sent the Son to be the Savior of the. world. ¹⁵ Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwells in him, and he in God. ¹⁶ And we have known and believed the love which God has for us. God is love; and he that dwells in love, dwells in God, and God in him.
