1 Corinthians 12 Cross References - Anderson

1 But concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I do not wish you to be ignorant. 2 You know that you were Gentiles, carried away to those dumb idols, as you might be led. 3 For this reason, I make known to you, that no one, speaking by the Spirit of God, calls Jesus accursed: and no one can say that Jesus is Lord, but by the Holy Spirit. 4 Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit; 5 and there are diversities of ministries, but the same Lord; 6 and there are diversities of operations, but the same God, who makes them all effectual in all. 7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one, for the good of all. 8 For to one is given, by the Spirit, the word of wisdom; to another, the word of knowledge, by the same Spirit; 9 to another, faith, by the same Spirit; to another, gifts of healing, by the same Spirit; 10 to another, the working of mighty deeds; to another, prophecy; to another, the discerning of spirits; to another, different kinds of tongues; to another, the interpretation of tongues. 11 But all these, the one and the same Spirit makes effectual, distributing to each, respectively, as he wills. 12 For as the body is one, and has many members, and all the members of the body, being many, are one body, so also is the Christ. 13 For by one Spirit we all were immersed into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether bond or free; and we all have been made to drink of one Spirit. 14 For the body is not one member, but many. 15 If the foot shall say: Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body, is it, for this reason, no part of the body? 16 And if the ear shall say: Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body, is it, for this reason, no part of the body? 17 If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smelling? 18 But now God has placed the members, each of them, in the body, as it has pleased him. 19 And if they were all one member, where were the body? 20 But now there are many members, but one body. 21 The eye can not say to the hand: I have no need of you; or again, the head to the feet: I have no need of you. 22 But much more are those members of the body necessary, which seem to be more feeble. 23 And those members of the body, which, we think, are less honorable, around these we place the more abundant honor; and our uncomely members have the more abundant comeliness: 24 for our comely members have no need. But God has so arranged the body, giving more abundant honor to that part which is deficient, 25 that there may be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same anxious care, one for another; 26 and if one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or if one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it. 27 Now, you are the body of Christ, and, as individuals, you are members. 28 And God has placed some in the church, first, apostles; secondly, prophets; thirdly, teachers; then mighty deeds; then gifts of healing; helps, governments, kinds of tongues. 29 Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Are all workers of mighty deeds? 30 Have all the gifts of healing? Do all speak with tongues? Do all interpret? 31 But seek earnestly the best gifts; and yet I show you a more excellent way.

Enter into the joy of your lord. 22 And he also that had received the two talents came, and said: Lord, you delivered to me two talents; see, I have gained other two talents in addition to them. 23 His lord said to him: Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many. Enter into the joy of your lord. 24 But he that had received the one talent came, and said: Lord, I knew you, that you are a hard man, reaping where you did not sow, and gathering where you did not scatter. 25 And I was afraid, and went and hid your talent in the earth; see, you have yours. 26 His lord answered and said to him: Wicked and slothful servant; did you know that I reap where I did not sow, and gather where I did not scatter? 27 Therefore, you ought to have put my money with the bankers; and, when I came, I could have received my own with interest. 28 Therefore, take from him the talent, and give it to him that has the ten talents. 29 For to every one that has, it shall be given, and he shall have abundance. But from him that has not, even that which he has shall be taken away. 30 And cast the unprofitable servant into the darkness without. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

6 and there are diversities of operations, but the same God, who makes them all effectual in all.

24 for our comely members have no need. But God has so arranged the body, giving more abundant honor to that part which is deficient,

1 Corinthians 12:27

27 Now, you are the body of Christ, and, as individuals, you are members.

1 Corinthians 12:27-28

27 Now, you are the body of Christ, and, as individuals, you are members. 28 And God has placed some in the church, first, apostles; secondly, prophets; thirdly, teachers; then mighty deeds; then gifts of healing; helps, governments, kinds of tongues.

1 Corinthians 12:28-29

28 And God has placed some in the church, first, apostles; secondly, prophets; thirdly, teachers; then mighty deeds; then gifts of healing; helps, governments, kinds of tongues.

1 Corinthians 12:28-30

28 And God has placed some in the church, first, apostles; secondly, prophets; thirdly, teachers; then mighty deeds; then gifts of healing; helps, governments, kinds of tongues.

1 Corinthians 12:28-28

28 And God has placed some in the church, first, apostles; secondly, prophets; thirdly, teachers; then mighty deeds; then gifts of healing; helps, governments, kinds of tongues. 29 Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Are all workers of mighty deeds?

1 Corinthians 12:29-30

29 Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Are all workers of mighty deeds?

1 Corinthians 12:29

29 Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Are all workers of mighty deeds? 30 Have all the gifts of healing? Do all speak with tongues? Do all interpret?

1 Corinthians 12:30-30

30 Have all the gifts of healing? Do all speak with tongues? Do all interpret?

1 Corinthians 13:1-2

1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of an gels, but have not love, I have become as sounding brass, or a clanging cymbal.

1 Corinthians 13:1-14:1

1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of an gels, but have not love, I have become as sounding brass, or a clanging cymbal. 2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not love, I am nothing.

1 Corinthians 13:2-2

2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not love, I am nothing.

1 Corinthians 13:8

8 Love never fails; but whether there be gifts of prophecy, they shall have an end; or tongues, they shall cease; or knowledge, it shall have an end.

1 Corinthians 14:1-18

1 Cultivate love, and earnestly desire spiritual gifts, but rather that you may prophesy.

1 Corinthians 14:1-5

1 Cultivate love, and earnestly desire spiritual gifts, but rather that you may prophesy.

1 Corinthians 14:1-1

1 Cultivate love, and earnestly desire spiritual gifts, but rather that you may prophesy. 2 For he that speaks in an unknown tongue, speaks not to men, but to God; for no one understands him: but yet in spirit he speaks mysteries.

1 Corinthians 14:2-5

2 For he that speaks in an unknown tongue, speaks not to men, but to God; for no one understands him: but yet in spirit he speaks mysteries. 3 But he that prophesies speaks to men so as to build them up, to exhort and comfort them.

1 Corinthians 14:3-5

3 But he that prophesies speaks to men so as to build them up, to exhort and comfort them. 4 He that speaks in an unknown tongue, edifies himself; but he that prophesies, edifies the church.

1 Corinthians 14:4-5

4 He that speaks in an unknown tongue, edifies himself; but he that prophesies, edifies the church. 5 I am willing, indeed, that you should all speak in tongues, but rather that you should prophesy; for greater is he that prophesies than he that speaks in tongues, unless he interprets, in order that the church may receive instruction.

1 Corinthians 14:5

5 I am willing, indeed, that you should all speak in tongues, but rather that you should prophesy; for greater is he that prophesies than he that speaks in tongues, unless he interprets, in order that the church may receive instruction.

1 Corinthians 14:5-5

5 I am willing, indeed, that you should all speak in tongues, but rather that you should prophesy; for greater is he that prophesies than he that speaks in tongues, unless he interprets, in order that the church may receive instruction. 6 Now, brethren, if I come to you speaking in tongues, in what will I profit you, unless I speak to you by revelation, or by knowledge, or by prophecy, or by teaching? 7 And even lifeless instruments, which produce sound, whether pipe or harp, unless they give a distinction in the notes, how shall that which is piped or harped be known? 8 For if the trumpet give an uncertain sound, who will prepare himself for battle? 9 So, also, unless you, with the tongue, utter words that are intelligible, how shall that which is spoken be known? for you will speak into the air. 10 There are, it may be, so many kinds of voices in the world, and none of them is without meaning. 11 If, then, I know not the meaning of the voice, I shall be to him that speaks a barbarian; and he that speaks will be a barbarian to me. 12 So, also, do you, since you greatly desire spiritual gifts, seek to excel to the building up of the church.

1 Corinthians 14:12

12 So, also, do you, since you greatly desire spiritual gifts, seek to excel to the building up of the church. 13 For which reason, let him that speaks in an unknown tongue pray that he may interpret. 14 For if I pray in an unknown tongue, the spirit which I have prays, but my understanding is unfruitful. 15 What, then, is it? I will pray with the spirit which is given to me, and I will pray with my understanding also. I will sing with the spirit that is given to me, and I will sing with my understanding also. 16 Otherwise, if you bless with the spirit that is given to you, how will he that occupies the place of the unlearned man say Amen, when you give thanks, since he understands not what you say? 17 For you give thanks well, but the other is not edified.

1 Corinthians 14:17

17 For you give thanks well, but the other is not edified. 18 I thank God that I speak in tongues more than you all. 19 Yet in the church I would rather speak five words with my understanding, that I may instruct others, than ten thousand words in an unknown tongue.

1 Corinthians 14:22-26

22 Therefore, tongues are for a sign, not to those who believe, but to those who believe not: but prophecy is not for those who believe not, but for those who believe. 23 If, then, the whole church come together into the same place, and all speak in tongues, and there come in unlearned men, or unbelievers, will they not say that you are mad?

1 Corinthians 14:23-24

23 If, then, the whole church come together into the same place, and all speak in tongues, and there come in unlearned men, or unbelievers, will they not say that you are mad? 24 But if all prophesy, and there comes in an unbeliever, or an unlearned man, he is convinced by all, he is examined by all,

1 Corinthians 14:24-24

24 But if all prophesy, and there comes in an unbeliever, or an unlearned man, he is convinced by all, he is examined by all, 25 and the secrets of his heart are made manifest; and so, falling down on his face, he will worship God, and report that God is really among you. 26 What, then, is it, brethren? When you come together, each one of you has a psalm, has something to teach, has an unknown tongue, has a revelation, has an interpretation. Let all things be done for edification.

1 Corinthians 14:26-29

26 What, then, is it, brethren? When you come together, each one of you has a psalm, has something to teach, has an unknown tongue, has a revelation, has an interpretation. Let all things be done for edification. 27 If any speak in an unknown tongue, let two, or, at most, three, speak at each meeting, and in succession: and let one interpret. 28 But if there be no interpreter, let him keep silence in the church: but let him speak to himself, and to God. 29 Let two or three prophets speak, and let the others judge:

1 Corinthians 14:31-32

31 For you can all prophesy, one by one, that all may learn, and all may be encouraged; 32 and the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets;

1 Corinthians 14:37

37 If any one has the reputation of being a prophet, or spiritual man, let him acknowledge that the things which I write to you are the commandments of the Lord.

1 Corinthians 14:39

39 Wherefore, brethren, earnestly desire to prophesy, and forbid not to speak with tongues.

1 Corinthians 15:28

28 And when all things shall have been put under him, then, also, shall the Son himself be subjected to him that did put all things under him, that God may be the all in all.

1 Corinthians 15:38

38 but God gives it a body, as it pleases him; and to every seed, its proper body.

1 Corinthians 16:22

22 If any one loves not the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be accursed. The Lord comes.

2 Corinthians 1:8

8 For we do not wish you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning our affliction which came upon us in Asia, that we were exceedingly oppressed, beyond our strength, so that we despaired even of life.

2 Corinthians 1:11

11 if you also unite in prayer for our aid, that the favor bestowed on us, through the intercession of many persons, may cause thanks to be given by many for us.

2 Corinthians 3:5

5 not that we are able, of ourselves, to devise any thing, as from ourselves; but our ability is from God,

2 Corinthians 4:13

13 But, having the same spirit of faith, according to that winch is written, I believed, and for this reason I have spoken; we also believe, and for this reason we speak,

2 Corinthians 7:12

12 Therefore, though I wrote to you, it was not on account of him who did the wrong, nor on account of him who received the wrong; but that our diligent care for you, in the sight of God, might be made manifest to you.

2 Corinthians 8:7

7 Now as you excel in every thing, in faith, and in speech, and in knowledge, and in all diligence, and in your love for us, see that you excel in this gift also.

2 Corinthians 8:16

16 But thanks be to God, who put the same earnest care for you in the heart of Titus:

2 Corinthians 10:13

13 But we will not boast ourselves with respect to regions not measured to us; but according to the measure of the line which God, who measures, has appointed for us to reach even to you.

2 Corinthians 11:4

4 For if he that comes should preach another Jesus, whom we did not preach, or, if you receive another Spirit, which you did not receive, or another gospel, which you have not accepted, you would well bear with him.

2 Corinthians 11:28-29

28 besides those things which come upon me from other sources, I have a daily concourse of troubles my anxiety for all the churches. 29 Who is weak, and I am not weak? Who is led into sin, and I am not incensed?

2 Corinthians 13:11

11 Finally, brethren, farewell; be perfect, be comforted, be of the same mind, be at peace; and the God of love and of peace will be with you.

Galatians 3:5

5 He that supplies to you the Spirit, and works mighty deeds among you, does he this by works of law or by the hearing of faith?

Galatians 3:13

13 Christ has bought us off from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us: (for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangs on a tree:)

Galatians 3:16

16 Now the promises were spoken to Abraham and to his offspring; he does not say: And to offsprings, as if he spoke of many; but as of one, And to your offspring, which is Christ.

Galatians 3:23

23 But before the faith came, we were kept under law, being shut up to the faith which was to be revealed.

Galatians 3:28

28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bondman nor free man, there is neither male nor female: for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

Galatians 4:8

8 But, then, because you knew not God, you were enslaved to those who, by nature, are not gods:

Galatians 6:2

2 Bear with the weaknesses of one another, and so fulfill the law of Christ.

Ephesians 1:5

5 having predestinated us for adoption to himself through Jesus Christ, according to the good pleasure of his will,

Ephesians 1:9

9 by making known to us the mystery of his will according to his good purpose which he had before established in himself,

Ephesians 1:11

11 in him in whom we have obtained our portion, having been predestinated according to the purpose of him who works all things according to the counsel of his will,

Ephesians 1:17-18

17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you the spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the acknowledgment of him, 18 that, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened, you may know what is the hope of his calling, and what are the glorious riches of his inheritance in the saints, 19 and what is the exceeding greatness of his power to ward us who believe in accordance with the energy of his mighty power, 20 which he made active in the Christ when he raised him from the dead, and caused him to sit at his right hand in the heavenly places, 21 high above every principality and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age, but also in that which is to come; 22 and subjected all things under his feet, and made him head over all things for the church, 23 which is his body, the fullness of him who fills all his members with all things,

Ephesians 1:23

23 which is his body, the fullness of him who fills all his members with all things,

Ephesians 2:8

8 For by grace you have been saved through the faith; and this matter is not of yourselves; it is the gift of God:

Ephesians 2:11-12

11 For which reason, remember that you were formerly Gen tiles, by natural descent, and that you are called Uncircumcision by the Circumcision; so called, from a mark made in the flesh by hands;

Ephesians 2:11-22

11 For which reason, remember that you were formerly Gen tiles, by natural descent, and that you are called Uncircumcision by the Circumcision; so called, from a mark made in the flesh by hands; 12 that you were at that time without Christ, being aliens from the community of Israel, and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope, and having no God in the world:

Ephesians 2:12-22

12 that you were at that time without Christ, being aliens from the community of Israel, and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope, and having no God in the world: 13 but now, in Christ Jesus, you, who were formerly far off, have become near, by the blood of the Christ. 14 For he is our peace, who has made both parties one, and broken down the partition wall that separated us, 15 having abolished, in his flesh, the cause of enmity, the law of commandments in ordinances, that he might, by himself, form the two into one new man, thus making peace; 16 and that he might reconcile both, in one body, to God, through the cross, having by it put to death the cause of enmity; 17 and having come, he preached peace to you who were far off, and to those who were near: 18 for, through him, we both have access in one Spirit to the Father. 19 Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and sojourners, but fellow-citizens with the saints, and of the household of God, 20 having been builded upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner-stone,

Ephesians 2:20

20 having been builded upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner-stone, 21 in whom the whole building, compactly fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord; 22 in whom you also are builded together, for a dwelling-place of God by his Spirit.

Ephesians 3:5

5 which, in other generations, was not made known to the sons of men, as it is now revealed to his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit; 6 that the Gentiles should be fellow-heirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in the Christ, through the gospel,

Ephesians 4:4-6

4 There is one body and one Spirit, even as you have been called in one hope of your calling;

Ephesians 4:4

4 There is one body and one Spirit, even as you have been called in one hope of your calling; 5 one Lord, one faith, one immersion;

Ephesians 4:5

5 one Lord, one faith, one immersion; 6 one God and Father of all, who is over all, and through all, and in you all.

Ephesians 4:6

6 one God and Father of all, who is over all, and through all, and in you all. 7 But grace has been given to each one of us, according to the measure of the gift of the Christ.

Ephesians 4:7

7 But grace has been given to each one of us, according to the measure of the gift of the Christ. 8 For which reason, the scripture says: When he ascended on high, he led captive a multitude of captives, and gave gifts to men. 9 But this He ascended what does it mean, but that he also descended into the lower earthly regions? 10 He that descended is also he that ascended high above all the heavens, that he might fill all things. 11 And he himself gave some to be apostles, and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;

Ephesians 4:11-12

11 And he himself gave some to be apostles, and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;

Ephesians 4:11-13

11 And he himself gave some to be apostles, and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; 12 for the complete instruction of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the building up of the body of the Christ,

Ephesians 4:12

12 for the complete instruction of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the building up of the body of the Christ,

Ephesians 4:12-13

12 for the complete instruction of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the building up of the body of the Christ, 13 till we all come to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to a measure of stature that fully develops the Christ;

Ephesians 4:15-16

15 but speaking truthfully in love, we might grow up in all things, into him who is the head, even the Christ, 16 from whom the whole body, compactly fitted together, and united by every helping joint, according to the energy in the measure of each part, makes increase of the body, for the building up of itself in love. 17 This I say, therefore, and appeal to you solemnly in the Lord, that you no longer walk as the other Gentiles walk, in the error of their minds, 18 darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the hardness of their heart;

Ephesians 4:25

25 For which reason, putting away lying, speak, every one, truth with his neighbor: for we are members one of another.

Ephesians 5:23

23 for the husband is the head of the wife, as the Christ also is the head of the church; and he is the savior of the body.

26 that he might sanctify it, having cleansed it by the bath of water through the word,

Ephesians 5:30

30 because we are members of his body, being of his flesh, and of his bones.

Ephesians 6:8

8 knowing that whatever good any one does, the same shall he receive from the Lord, whether he is a servant or a freeman.

3 doing nothing in strife and vain glory, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself.

Philippians 2:11

11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Philippians 2:13

13 for it is God, who, of his good pleasure, works in you both the will and the power to perform.

Philippians 3:8

8 Yes, verily, I also count all things to be loss, for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, on account of whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them to be refuse, that I may gain Christ,

Colossians 1:18

18 and he is the head of the body, the church: and he is the beginning, the first-born from the dead, that in all things he might be preeminent;

Colossians 1:24

24 Now I rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up what remains of my sufferings for Christ in my flesh for the sake of his body, which is the church,

27 to whom God would make known what is the glorious riches of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory,

29 to which end I also labor, striving according to his energy, which works in me mightily.

Colossians 2:11-12

11 in whom you have been also circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in the putting off the body of the sins of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ, 12 when you were buried with him in immersion, in which you were also raised with him by your faith in the energy of God, who raised him from the dead.

Colossians 2:19

19 and not holding the head, from which the whole body gathering vigor, and firmly united by joints and bands, increases with the increase of God.

11 in which new creation there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all and in all.

Colossians 3:15

15 And let the peace of God, to which you are called in one body, rule in your hearts, and be thankful.

9 For they themselves declare concerning us what kind of entrance we had to you, and how you turned to God from idols, to serve the living and true God,

13 But concerning those who have fallen asleep, I would not have you ignorant, brethren, that you may not grieve, as others who have no hope.

9 Exhort servants to be subject to their own masters, and to please them well in all things, not contradicting, 10 not stealing, but showing all good faithfulness, that they may adorn the teaching of God our Savior in all things.

Titus 3:3

3 For we ourselves also were formerly foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving various desires and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one an other. 4 But when the kindness and philanthropy of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, 5 not by works of righteousness which we had done, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Spirit, 6 which he poured out on us richly, through Jesus Christ our Savior;

3 Remember those who are in bonds, as if you yourselves had been bound, and those who suffer affliction, since you yourselves are in the body.

Hebrews 13:17

17 Obey those who rule over you, and be submissive: for they watch for your souls, as those who must give an account; that they may do this with joy, and not with grief: for that would be fatal to you.

21 perfect you in every good work, in order that you may do his will, working in you that which is acceptable in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory from age to age. Amen.

1 Peter 4:10

10 As each has received a gift, minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.

1 Peter 4:10-11

10 As each has received a gift, minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. 11 If any man speaks, let him speak as the oracles of God: if any man acts as a deacon, let him do this as from the strength which God supplies; that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory and strength from age to age. Amen.

1 Peter 5:1-4

1 The elders that are among you I exhort, who am a fellow-elder, and a witness of the sufferings of the Christ, and a sharer in the glory that is to be revealed. 2 Act as shepherds to the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight, not by compulsion, but willingly; not for the sake of sordid gain, but from readiness of mind: 3 neither as being lords over God's possessions, but being examples to the flock. 4 And when the chief shepherd shall appear, you shall receive the crown of glory that fades not away.

1 John 4:1

1 Beloved, believe not every spirit; but prove the spirits, whether they are from God: for many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2 By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ came in the flesh, is from God: 3 and whatever spirit confesses not that Jesus Christ came in the flesh, is not from God: and this is the spirit of antichrist, of which you have heard that it comes, and is now already in the world.
