⁴ We were buried therefore with him through baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we also might walk in newness of life.

² And behold, there was a great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled away the stone, and sat upon it. ³ His appearance was as lightning, and his raiment white as snow:

¹¹ This beginning of his signs did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested his glory; and his disciples believed on him.

¹⁹ Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up. ²⁰ The Jews therefore said, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou raise it up in three days?

⁴⁰ Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou believedst, thou shouldest see the glory of God?

²⁴ whom God raised up, having loosed the pangs of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it.

³ Or are ye ignorant that all we who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?

⁹ knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death no more hath dominion over him.

¹⁹ I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye presented your members [as] servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity, even so now present your members [as] servants to righteousness unto sanctification.

⁶ But now we have been discharged from the law, having died to that wherein we were held; so that we serve in newness of the spirit, and not in oldness of the letter.

¹¹ But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwelleth in you, he that raised up Christ Jesus from the dead shall give life also to your mortal bodies through his Spirit that dwelleth in you.

¹ I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, [which is] your spiritual service. ² And be not fashioned according to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

¹³ Let us walk becomingly, as in the day; not in revelling and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and jealousy. ¹⁴ But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to [fulfil] the lusts [thereof].

¹⁴ and God both raised the Lord, and will raise up us through his power.

¹⁷ Wherefore if any man is in Christ, [he is] a new creature: the old things are passed away; behold, they are become new.

⁴ for he was crucified through weakness, yet he liveth through the power of God. For we also are weak in him, but we shall live with him through the power of God toward you.

¹⁵ For neither is circumcision anything, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature. ¹⁶ And as many as shall walk by this rule, peace [be] upon them, and mercy, and upon the Israel of God.

¹⁹ and what the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to that working of the strength of his might ²⁰ which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and made him to sit at his right hand in the heavenly [places],

⁵ even when we were dead through our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace have ye been saved), ⁶ and raised us up with him, and made us to sit with him in the heavenly [places], in Christ Jesus:

¹⁷ This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye no longer walk as the Gentiles also walk, in the vanity of their mind,

²² that ye put away, as concerning your former manner of life, the old man, that waxeth corrupt after the lusts of deceit; ²³ and that ye be renewed in the spirit of your mind, ²⁴ and put on the new man, that after God hath been created in righteousness and holiness of truth.

⁸ for ye were once darkness, but are now light in the Lord: walk as children of light

¹⁷ Brethren, be ye imitators together of me, and mark them that so walk even as ye have us for an ensample. ¹⁸ For many walk, of whom I told you often, and now tell you even weeping, [that they are] the enemies of the cross of Christ:

⁹ For this cause we also, since the day we heard [it], do not cease to pray and make request for you, that ye may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, ¹⁰ to walk worthily of the Lord unto all pleasing, bearing fruit in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; ¹¹ strengthened with all power, according to the might of his glory, unto all patience and longsuffering with joy; ¹² giving thanks unto the Father, who made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light;

¹¹ in whom ye were also circumcised with a circumcision not made with hands, in the putting off of the body of the flesh, in the circumcision of Christ; ¹² having been buried with him in baptism, wherein ye were also raised with him through faith in the working of God, who raised him from the dead. ¹³ And you, being dead through your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, you, [I say], did he make alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses;

¹ If then ye were raised together with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated on the right hand of God. ² Set your mind on the things that are above, not on the things that are upon the earth. ³ For ye died, and your life is hid with Christ in God.

¹⁰ and have put on the new man, that is being renewed unto knowledge after the image of him that created him:

¹ Masters, render unto your servants that which is just and equal; knowing that ye also have a Master in heaven.

²¹ which also after a true likeness doth now save you, [even] baptism, not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the interrogation of a good conscience toward God, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ;

¹ Forasmuch then as Christ suffered in the flesh, arm ye yourselves also with the same mind; for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin; ² that ye no longer should live the rest of your time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.

⁴ whereby he hath granted unto us his precious and exceeding great promises; that through these ye may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world by lust.
⁵ Yea, and for this very cause adding on your part all diligence, in your faith supply virtue; and in [your] virtue knowledge; ⁶ and in [your] knowledge self-control; and in [your] self-control patience; and in [your] patience godliness; ⁷ and in [your] godliness brotherly kindness; and in [your] brotherly kindness love. ⁸ For if these things are yours and abound, they make you to be not idle nor unfruitful unto the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. ⁹ For he that lacketh these things is blind, seeing only what is near, having forgotten the cleansing from his old sins.

⁶ he that saith he abideth in him ought himself also to walk even as he walked.
