⁴² They remembered not his hand,
Nor the day when he redeemed them from the adversary;

⁹ And it shall be for a sign unto thee upon thy hand, and for a memorial between thine eyes, that the law of Jehovah may be in thy mouth: for with a strong hand hath Jehovah brought thee out of Egypt.

¹² Is not this the word that we spake unto thee in Egypt, saying, Let us alone, that we may serve the Egyptians? For it were better for us to serve the Egyptians, than that we should die in the wilderness.

³⁰ Thus Jehovah saved Israel that day out of the hand of the Egyptians; and Israel saw the Egyptians dead upon the seashore. ³¹ And Israel saw the great work which Jehovah did upon the Egyptians, and the people feared Jehovah: and they believed in Jehovah, and in his servant Moses.

³⁴ And the children of Israel remembered not Jehovah their God, who had delivered them out of the hand of all their enemies on every side;

¹¹ And they forgat his doings,
And his wondrous works that he had showed them.

²¹ Therefore Jehovah heard, and was wroth;
And a fire was kindled against Jacob,
And anger also went up against Israel; ²² Because they believed not in God,
And trusted not in his salvation.

⁷ Our fathers understood not thy wonders in Egypt;
They remembered not the multitude of thy lovingkindnesses,
But were rebellious at the sea, even at the Red Sea. ⁸ Nevertheless he saved them for his name's sake,
That he might make his mighty power to be known. ⁹ He rebuked the Red Sea also, and it was dried up:
So he led them through the depths, as through a wilderness. ¹⁰ And he saved them from the hand of him that hated them,
And redeemed them from the hand of the enemy.

¹⁰ To him that smote Egypt in their first-born;
For his lovingkindness [endureth] for ever; ¹¹ And brought out Israel from among them;
For his lovingkindness [endureth] for ever; ¹² With a strong hand, and with an outstretched arm;
For his lovingkindness [endureth] for ever: ¹³ To him that divided the Red Sea in sunder;
For his lovingkindness [endureth] for ever; ¹⁴ And made Israel to pass through the midst of it;
For his lovingkindness [endureth] for ever; ¹⁵ But overthrew Pharaoh and his host in the Red Sea;
For his lovingkindness [endureth] for ever:

¹¹ And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord will set his hand again the second time to recover the remnant of his people, that shall remain, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea.

²¹ and didst bring forth thy people Israel out of the land of Egypt with signs, and with wonders, and with a strong hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with great terror;
