¹ Paul, a prisoner of Christ Jesus, and Timothy our brother, to Philemon our beloved and fellow-worker, ² and to Apphia our sister, and to Archippus our fellow-soldier, and to the church in thy house: ³ Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
⁴ I thank my God always, making mention of thee in my prayers, ⁵ hearing of thy love, and of the faith which thou hast toward the Lord Jesus, and toward all the saints; ⁶ that the fellowship of thy faith may become effectual, in the knowledge of every good thing which is in you, unto Christ. ⁷ For I had much joy and comfort in thy love, because the hearts of the saints have been refreshed through thee, brother.
⁸ Wherefore, though I have all boldness in Christ to enjoin thee that which is befitting, ⁹ yet for love's sake I rather beseech, being such a one as Paul the aged, and now a prisoner also of Christ Jesus: ¹⁰ I beseech thee for my child, whom I have begotten in my bonds, Onesimus, ¹¹ who once was unprofitable to thee, but now is profitable to thee and to me: ¹² whom I have sent back to thee in his own person, that is, my very heart: ¹³ whom I would fain have kept with me, that in thy behalf he might minister unto me in the bonds of the gospel: ¹⁴ but without thy mind I would do nothing; that thy goodness should not be as of necessity, but of free will. ¹⁵ For perhaps he was therefore parted [from thee] for a season, that thou shouldest have him for ever; ¹⁶ no longer as a servant, but more than a servant, a brother beloved, specially to me, but how much rather to thee, both in the flesh and in the Lord. ¹⁷ If then thou countest me a partner, receive him as myself. ¹⁸ But if he hath wronged thee at all, or oweth [thee] aught, put that to mine account; ¹⁹ I Paul write it with mine own hand, I will repay it: that I say not unto thee that thou owest to me even thine own self besides. ²⁰ Yea, brother, let me have joy of thee in the Lord: refresh my heart in Christ.
²¹ Having confidence in thine obedience I write unto thee, knowing that thou wilt do even beyond what I say. ²² But withal prepare me also a lodging: for I hope that through your prayers I shall be granted unto you.
²³ Epaphras, my fellow-prisoner in Christ Jesus, saluteth thee; ²⁴ [and so do] Mark, Aristarchus, Demas, Luke, my fellow-workers.
²⁵ The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.

⁹ For we are God's fellow-workers: ye are God's husbandry, God's building.

¹ Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus through the will of God, and Timothy our brother, unto the church of God which is at Corinth, with all the saints that are in the whole of Achaia:

¹ For this cause I Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus in behalf of you Gentiles,—

¹ I therefore, the prisoner in the Lord, beseech you to walk worthily of the calling wherewith ye were called,

²⁰ for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

²⁵ But I counted it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus, my brother and fellow-worker and fellow-soldier, and your messenger and minister to my need;

³ Yea, I beseech thee also, true yokefellow, help these women, for they labored with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and the rest of my fellow-workers, whose names are in the book of life.

¹ Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus through the will of God, and Timothy our brother,

¹¹ and Jesus that is called Justus, who are of the circumcision: these only [are my] fellow-workers unto the kingdom of God, men that have been a comfort unto me.

² and sent Timothy, our brother and God's minister in the gospel of Christ, to establish you, and to comfort [you] concerning your faith;

¹ Paul, and Silvanus, and Timothy, unto the church of the Thessalonians in God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ;

⁸ Be not ashamed therefore of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but suffer hardship with the gospel according to the power of God; ⁹ yet for love's sake I rather beseech, being such a one as Paul the aged, and now a prisoner also of Christ Jesus:

²⁴ [and so do] Mark, Aristarchus, Demas, Luke, my fellow-workers.

⁵ and [salute] the church that is in their house. Salute Epζnetus my beloved, who is the first-fruits of Asia unto Christ.

¹⁹ The churches of Asia salute you. Aquila and Prisca salute you much in the Lord, with the church that is in their house.

¹⁵ Salute the brethren that are in Laodicea, and Nymphas, and the church that is in their house.

¹⁷ And say to Archippus, Take heed to the ministry which thou hast received in the Lord, that thou fulfil it.

³ Suffer hardship with [me], as a good soldier of Christ Jesus. ⁴ No soldier on service entangleth himself in the affairs of [this] life; that he may please him who enrolled him as a soldier.

⁷ to all that are in Rome, beloved of God, called [to be] saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

¹⁴ The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit, be with you all.

² Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

⁸ First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is proclaimed throughout the whole world.

¹⁶ cease not to give thanks for you, making mention [of you] in my prayers;

³ I thank my God upon all my remembrance of you,

³ We give thanks to God the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you,

² We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention [of you] in our prayers; ³ We are bound to give thanks to God always to you, brethren, even as it is meet, for that your faith growth exceedingly, and the love of each one of you all toward one another aboundeth;

³ I thank God, whom I serve from my forefathers in a pure conscience, how unceasing is my remembrance of thee in my supplications, night and day

³ As for the saints that are in the earth,
They are the excellent in whom is all my delight.

³⁹ And Peter arose and went with them. And when he was come, they brought him into the upper chamber: and all the widows stood by him weeping, and showing the coats and garments which Dorcas made, while she was with them. ⁴⁰ But Peter put them all forth, and kneeled down and prayed; and turning to the body, he said, Tabitha, arise. And she opened her eyes; and when she saw Peter, she sat up. ⁴¹ And he gave her his hand, and raised her up; and calling the saints and widows, he presented her alive.

¹³ communicating to the necessities of the saints; given to hospitality.

²⁵ but now, [I say], I go unto Jerusalem, ministering unto the saints. ²⁶ For it hath been the good pleasure of Macedonia and Achaia to make a certain contribution for the poor among the saints that are at Jerusalem.

¹ Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I gave order to the churches of Galatia, so also do ye.

⁶ For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth anything, nor uncircumcision; but faith working through love.

¹⁵ For this cause I also, having heard of the faith in the Lord Jesus which is among you, and the love which [ye show] toward all the saints,

⁴ having heard of your faith in Christ Jesus, and of the love which ye have toward all the saints,

⁷ For I had much joy and comfort in thy love, because the hearts of the saints have been refreshed through thee, brother.

²³ And this is his commandment, that we should believe in the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, even as he gave us commandment.

¹ Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is begotten of God: and whosoever loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him. ² Hereby we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and do his commandments.

¹⁶ Even so let your light shine before men; that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.

²⁵ the secrets of his heart are made manifest; and so he will fall down on his face and worship God, declaring that God is among you indeed.

¹² For the ministration of this service not only filleth up the measure of the wants of the saints, but aboundeth also through many thanksgivings unto God; ¹³ seeing that through the proving [of you] by this ministration they glorify God for the obedience of your confession unto the gospel of Christ, and for the liberality of [your] contribution unto them and unto all; ¹⁴ while they themselves also, with supplication on your behalf, long after you by reason of the exceeding grace of God in you.

⁹ And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and all discernment; ¹⁰ so that ye may approve the things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and void of offence unto the day of Christ; ¹¹ being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are through Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.

⁸ Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honorable, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

⁹ For this cause we also, since the day we heard [it], do not cease to pray and make request for you, that ye may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding,

¹⁴ And let our [people] also learn to maintain good works for necessary uses, that they be not unfruitful.

¹⁰ for God is not unrighteous to forget your work and the love which ye showed toward his name, in that ye ministered unto the saints, and still do minister.

¹⁴ What doth it profit, my brethren, if a man say he hath faith, but have not works? can that faith save him?

¹⁷ Even so faith, if it have not works, is dead in itself.

⁵ who by the power of God are guarded through faith unto a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. ⁶ Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, ye have been put to grief in manifold trials, ⁷ that the proof of your faith, [being] more precious than gold that perisheth though it is proved by fire, may be found unto praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ: ⁸ whom not having seen ye love; on whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice greatly with joy unspeakable and full of glory:

¹² having your behavior seemly among the Gentiles; that, wherein they speak against you as evil-doers, they may by your good works, which they behold, glorify God in the day of visitation.

¹ In like manner, ye wives, [be] in subjection to your own husbands; that, even if any obey not the word, they may without the word be gained by the behavior of their wives;

¹⁶ having a good conscience; that, wherein ye are spoken against, they may be put to shame who revile your good manner of life in Christ.

⁸ For if these things are yours and abound, they make you to be not idle nor unfruitful unto the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

⁴ Great is my boldness of speech toward you, great is my glorying on your behalf: I am filled with comfort, I overflow with joy in all our affliction.

¹³ Therefore we have been comforted: and in our comfort we joyed the more exceedingly for the joy of Titus, because his spirit hath been refreshed by you all.

³ remembering without ceasing your work of faith and labor of love and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, before our God and Father;

¹³ And for this cause we also thank God without ceasing, that, when ye received from us the word of the message, [even the word] of God, ye accepted [it] not [as] the word of men, but, as it is in truth, the word of God, which also worketh in you that believe.

¹⁹ For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of glorying? Are not even ye, before our Lord Jesus at his coming?

⁹ For what thanksgiving can we render again unto God for you, for all the joy wherewith we joy for your sakes before our God;

¹⁶ The Lord grant mercy unto the house of Onesiphorus: for he oft refreshed me, and was not ashamed of my chain;

²⁰ Yea, brother, let me have joy of thee in the Lord: refresh my heart in Christ.

⁴ I rejoice greatly that I have found [certain] of thy children walking in truth, even as we received commandment from the Father.

³ For I rejoiced greatly, when brethren came and bare witness unto thy truth, even as thou walkest in truth. ⁴ Greater joy have I none than this, to hear of my children walking in the truth.
⁵ Beloved, thou doest a faithful work in whatsoever thou doest toward them that are brethren and strangers withal; ⁶ who bare witness to thy love before the church: whom thou wilt do well to set forward on their journey worthily of God:

¹² Having therefore such a hope, we use great boldness of speech,

¹ Now I Paul myself entreat you by the meekness and gentleness of Christ, I who in your presence am lowly among you, but being absent am of good courage toward you: ² yea, I beseech you, that I may not when present show courage with the confidence wherewith I count to be bold against some, who count of us as if we walked according to the flesh.

⁸ For though I should glory somewhat abundantly concerning our authority (which the Lord gave for building you up, and not for casting you down), I shall not be put to shame:

²¹ I speak by way of disparagement, as though we had been weak. Yet whereinsoever any is bold (I speak in foolishness), I am bold also.

⁴ nor filthiness, nor foolish talking, or jesting, which are not befitting: but rather giving of thanks.

² but having suffered before and been shamefully treated, as ye know, at Philippi, we waxed bold in our God to speak unto you the gospel of God in much conflict.

⁶ nor seeking glory of men, neither from you nor from others, when we might have claimed authority as apostles of Christ.

⁹ Cast me not off in the time of old age;
Forsake me not when my strength faileth.

¹⁸ Yea, even when I am old and grayheaded, O God, forsake me not,
Until I have declared thy strength unto [the next] generation,
Thy might to every one that is to come.

³¹ The hoary head is a crown of glory;
It shall be found in the way of righteousness.

⁴ and even to old age I am he, and even to hoar hairs will I carry [you]; I have made, and I will bear; yea, I will carry, and will deliver.

¹ I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, [which is] your spiritual service.

²⁰ We are ambassadors therefore on behalf of Christ, as though God were entreating by us: we beseech [you] on behalf of Christ, be ye reconciled to God.

¹ And working together [with him] we entreat also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain

¹⁹ And I exhort [you] the more exceedingly to do this, that I may be restored to you the sooner.

¹¹ Beloved, I beseech you as sojourners and pilgrims, to abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;

¹ And David said, Is there yet any that is left of the house of Saul, that I may show him kindness for Jonathan's sake? ² And there was of the house of Saul a servant whose name was Ziba, and they called him unto David; and the king said unto him, Art thou Ziba? And he said, Thy servant is he. ³ And the king said, Is there not yet any of the house of Saul, that I may show the kindness of God unto him? And Ziba said unto the king, Jonathan hath yet a son, who is lame of his feet. ⁴ And the king said unto him, Where is he? And Ziba said unto the king, Behold, he is in the house of Machir the son of Ammiel, in Lo-debar. ⁵ Then king David sent, and fetched him out of the house of Machir the son of Ammiel, from Lo-debar. ⁶ And Mephibosheth, the son of Jonathan, the son of Saul, came unto David, and fell on his face, and did obeisance. And David said, Mephibosheth. And he answered, Behold, thy servant! ⁷ And David said unto him, Fear not; for I will surely show thee kindness for Jonathan thy father's sake, and will restore thee all the land of Saul thy father; and thou shalt eat bread at my table continually.

⁵ And the king commanded Joab and Abishai and Ittai, saying, Deal gently for my sake with the young man, even with Absalom. And all the people heard when the king gave all the captains charge concerning Absalom.

³⁷ Let thy servant, I pray thee, turn back again, that I may die in mine own city, by the grave of my father and my mother. But behold, thy servant Chimham; let him go over with my lord the king; and do to him what shall seem good unto thee. ³⁸ And the king answered, Chimham shall go over with me, and I will do to him that which shall seem good unto thee: and whatsoever thou shalt require of me, that will I do for thee.

¹⁷ And one of the multitude answered him, Teacher, I brought unto thee my son, who hath a dumb spirit;

¹⁵ For though ye have ten thousand tutors in Christ, yet [have ye] not many fathers; for in Christ Jesus I begat you through the gospel.

¹⁹ My little children, of whom I am again in travail until Christ be formed in you—

⁹ together with Onesimus, the faithful and beloved brother, who is one of you. They shall make known unto you all things that [are done] here.

² unto Timothy, my true child in faith: Grace, mercy, peace, from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.

⁴ to Titus, my true child after a common faith: Grace and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Saviour.

¹ But now they that are younger than I have me in derision,
Whose fathers I disdained to set with the dogs of my flock. ² Yea, the strength of their hands, whereto should it profit me?
Men in whom ripe age is perished.

³⁰ And cast ye out the unprofitable servant into the outer darkness: there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.

²⁴ for this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry.

³² But it was meet to make merry and be glad: for this thy brother was dead, and is alive [again]; and [was] lost, and is found.}

¹⁰ Even so ye also, when ye shall have done all the things that are commanded you, say, We are unprofitable servants; we have done that which it was our duty to do.}

¹² They have all turned aside, they are together become unprofitable;
There is none that doeth good, no, not so much as one:

¹¹ Only Luke is with me. Take Mark, and bring him with thee; for he is useful to me for ministering.

¹⁰ who in time past were no people, but now are the people of God: who had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.

⁶ If thy brother, the son of thy mother, or thy son, or thy daughter, or the wife of thy bosom, or thy friend, that is as thine own soul, entice thee secretly, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which thou hast not known, thou, nor thy fathers;

¹¹ And David said to Abishai, and to all his servants, Behold, my son, who came forth from my bowels, seeketh my life: how much more [may] this Benjamite now [do it]? let him alone, and let him curse; for Jehovah hath bidden him.

²⁰ Is Ephraim my dear son? is he a darling child? for as often as I speak against him, I do earnestly remember him still: therefore my heart yearneth for him; I will surely have mercy upon him, saith Jehovah.

¹⁴ For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. ¹⁵ But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

²¹ Then came Peter and said to him, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? until seven times? ²² Jesus saith unto him, { I say not unto thee, Until seven times; but, Until seventy times seven. ²³ Therefore is the kingdom of heaven likened unto a certain king, who would make a reckoning with his servants. ²⁴ And when he had begun to reckon, one was brought unto him, that owed him ten thousand talents. ²⁵ But forasmuch as he had not [wherewith] to pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, and his wife, and children, and all that he had, and payment to be made. ²⁶ The servant therefore fell down and worshipped him, saying, Lord, have patience with me, and I will pay thee all. ²⁷ And the lord of that servant, being moved with compassion, released him, and forgave him the debt. ²⁸ But that servant went out, and found one of his fellow-servants, who owed him a hundred shillings: and he laid hold on him, and took [him] by the throat, saying, Pay what thou owest. ²⁹ So his fellow-servant fell down and besought him, saying, Have patience with me, and I will pay thee. ³⁰ And he would not: but went and cast him into prison, till he should pay that which was due. ³¹ So when his fellow-servants saw what was done, they were exceeding sorry, and came and told unto their lord all that was done. ³² Then his lord called him unto him, and saith to him, Thou wicked servant, I forgave thee all that debt, because thou besoughtest me: ³³ shouldest not thou also have had mercy on thy fellow-servant, even as I had mercy on thee? ³⁴ And his lord was wroth, and delivered him to the tormentors, till he should pay all that was due. ³⁵ So shall also my heavenly Father do unto you, if ye forgive not every one his brother from your hearts.}

²⁵ And whensoever ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have aught against any one; that your Father also who is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.}

²⁰ And he arose, and came to his father. But while he was yet afar off, his father saw him, and was moved with compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.

³² and be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, even as God also in Christ forgave you.

¹⁷ And I rejoice at the coming of Stephanas and Fortunatus and Achaicus: for that which was lacking on your part they supplied.

⁷ even as it is right for me to be thus minded on behalf of you all, because I have you in my heart, inasmuch as, both in my bonds and in the defence and confirmation of the gospel, ye all are partakers with me of grace.

³⁰ because for the work of Christ he came nigh unto death, hazarding his life to supply that which was lacking in your service toward me.

¹ Paul, a prisoner of Christ Jesus, and Timothy our brother, to Philemon our beloved and fellow-worker,

¹⁷ I know also, my God, that thou triest the heart, and hast pleasure in uprightness. As for me, in the uprightness of my heart I have willingly offered all these things: and now have I seen with joy thy people, that are present here, offer willingly unto thee.

³ Thy people offer themselves willingly In the day of thy power, in holy array:
Out of the womb of the morning
Thou hast the dew of thy youth.

⁷ What soldier ever serveth at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock?

¹⁷ For if I do this of mine own will, I have a reward: but if not of mine own will, I have a stewardship intrusted to me.

²⁴ Not that we have lordship over your faith, but are helpers of your joy: for in faith ye stand fast.

¹² For if the readiness is there, [it is] acceptable according as [a man] hath, not according as [he] hath not.

⁵ I thought it necessary therefore to entreat the brethren, that they would go before unto you, and make up beforehand your aforepromised bounty, that the same might be ready as a matter of bounty, and not of extortion.

⁷ [Let] each man [do] according as he hath purposed in his heart: not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.

⁸ Wherefore, though I have all boldness in Christ to enjoin thee that which is befitting, ⁹ yet for love's sake I rather beseech, being such a one as Paul the aged, and now a prisoner also of Christ Jesus:

² Tend the flock of God which is among you, exercising the oversight, not of constraint, but willingly, according to [the will of] God; nor yet for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind; ³ neither as lording it over the charge allotted to you, but making yourselves ensamples to the flock.

⁵ And now be not grieved, nor angry with yourselves, that ye sold me hither: for God did send me before you to preserve life. ⁶ For these two years hath the famine been in the land: and there are yet five years, in which there shall be neither plowing nor harvest. ⁷ And God sent me before you to preserve you a remnant in the earth, and to save you alive by a great deliverance. ⁸ So now it was not you that sent me hither, but God: and he hath made me a father to Pharaoh, and lord of all his house, and ruler over all the land of Egypt.

²⁰ And as for you, ye meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.

¹⁰ Surely the wrath of man shall praise thee:
The residue of wrath shalt thou gird upon thee.

⁶ And the inhabitant of this coast-land shall say in that day, Behold, such is our expectation, whither we fled for help to be delivered from the king of Assyria: and we, how shall we escape?

²⁸ to do whatsoever thy hand and thy council foreordained to come to pass.

⁸ But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your teacher, and all ye are brethren.

¹⁷ And Ananias departed, and entered into the house; and laying his hands on him said, Brother Saul, the Lord, [even] Jesus, who appeared unto thee in the way which thou camest, hath sent me, that thou mayest receive thy sight, and be filled with the Holy Spirit.

²² For he that was called in the Lord being a bondservant, is the Lord's freedman: likewise he that was called being free, is Christ's bondservant.

²⁸ Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are children of promise. ²⁹ But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him [that was born] after the Spirit, so also it is now.

⁵ Servants, be obedient unto them that according to the flesh are your masters, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as unto Christ; ⁶ not in the way of eyeservice, as men-pleasers; but as servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart; ⁷ with good will doing service, as unto the Lord, and not unto men:

²² Servants, obey in all things them that are your masters according to the flesh; not with eye-service, as men-pleasers, but in singleness of heart, fearing the Lord:

² And they that have believing masters, let them not despise them, because they are brethren; but let them serve them the rather, because they that partake of the benefit are believing and beloved. These things teach and exhort.

¹ Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of a heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our confession, [even] Jesus;

²² Seeing ye have purified your souls in your obedience to the truth unto unfeigned love of the brethren, love one another from the heart fervently: ²³ having been begotten again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, through the word of God, which liveth and abideth.

¹ Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is begotten of God: and whosoever loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him.

⁴⁰ He that receiveth you receiveth me, and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me.

⁴⁸ But he answered and said unto him that told him, Who is my mother? and who are my brethren? ⁴⁹ And he stretched forth his hand towards his disciples, and said, { Behold, my mother and my brethren! ⁵⁰ For whosoever shall do the will of my Father who is in heaven, he is my brother, and sister, and mother.}

⁵ And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me:

⁴⁰ And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it unto one of these my brethren, [even] these least, ye did it unto me.

¹⁵ And when she was baptized, and her household, she besought us, saying, If ye have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come into my house, and abide [there]. And she constrained us.

²³ Whether [any inquire] about Titus, [he is] my partner and [my] fellow-worker to you-ward; or our brethren, [they are] the messengers of the churches, [they are] the glory of Christ.

⁶ [to wit], that the Gentiles are fellow-heirs, and fellow-members of the body, and fellow-partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel,

¹⁰ I beseech thee for my child, whom I have begotten in my bonds, Onesimus,

¹² whom I have sent back to thee in his own person, that is, my very heart:

¹⁴ for we are become partakers of Christ, if we hold fast the beginning of our confidence firm unto the end:

⁵ Hearken, my beloved brethren; did not God choose them that are poor as to the world [to be] rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he promised to them that love him?

¹ The elders therefore among you I exhort, who am a fellow-elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, who am also a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed:

³ that which we have seen and heard declare we unto you also, that ye also may have fellowship with us: yea, and our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ:

⁴ Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows; yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. ⁵ But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. ⁶ All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and Jehovah hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.
⁷ He was oppressed, yet when he was afflicted he opened not his mouth; as a lamb that is led to the slaughter, and as a sheep that before its shearers is dumb, so he opened not his mouth.

¹ Am I not free? am I not an apostle? have I not seen Jesus our Lord? are not ye my work in the Lord? ² If to others I am not an apostle, yet at least I am to you; for the seal of mine apostleship are ye in the Lord.

²¹ The salutation of me Paul with mine own hand. ²² If any man loveth not the Lord, let him be anathema. Maranatha.

² Ye are our epistle, written in our hearts, known and read of all men;

² Behold, I Paul say unto you, that, if ye receive circumcision, Christ will profit you nothing.

¹¹ See with how large letters I write unto you with mine own hand.

¹⁹ My brethren, if any among you err from the truth, and one convert him; ²⁰ let him know, that he who converteth a sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall cover a multitude of sins.

² For if I make you sorry, who then is he that maketh me glad but he that is made sorry by me?

⁴ Great is my boldness of speech toward you, great is my glorying on your behalf: I am filled with comfort, I overflow with joy in all our affliction.
⁵ For even when we were come into Macedonia our flesh had no relief, but [we were] afflicted on every side; without [were] fightings, within [were] fears. ⁶ Nevertheless he that comforteth the lowly, [even] God, comforted us by the coming of Titus; ⁷ and not by his coming only, but also by the comfort wherewith he was comforted in you, while he told us your longing, your mourning, your zeal for me; so that I rejoiced yet more.

⁸ For God is my witness, how I long after you all in the tender mercies of Christ Jesus.

¹ If there is therefore any exhortation in Christ, if any consolation of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any tender mercies and compassions, ² make full my joy, that ye be of the same mind, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind;

¹ Wherefore, my brethren beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, my beloved.

¹⁹ For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of glorying? Are not even ye, before our Lord Jesus at his coming? ²⁰ For ye are our glory and our joy.

⁷ for this cause, brethren, we were comforted over you in all our distress and affliction through your faith: ⁸ for now we live, if ye stand fast in the Lord. ⁹ For what thanksgiving can we render again unto God for you, for all the joy wherewith we joy for your sakes before our God;

¹⁷ Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit [to them]: for they watch in behalf of your souls, as they that shall give account; that they may do this with joy, and not with grief: for this [were] unprofitable for you.

¹⁷ But whoso hath the world's goods, and beholdeth his brother in need, and shutteth up his compassion from him, how doth the love of God abide in him?

⁴ Greater joy have I none than this, to hear of my children walking in the truth.

³ And I wrote this very thing, lest, when I came, I should have sorrow from them of whom I ought to rejoice; having confidence in you all, that my joy is [the joy] of you all.

¹⁶ I rejoice that in everything I am of good courage concerning you.

²² And we have sent with them our brother, whom we have many times proved earnest in many things, but now much more earnest, by reason of the great confidence which [he hath] in you.

¹⁰ I have confidence to you-ward in the Lord, that ye will be none otherwise minded: but he that troubleth you shall bear his judgment, whosoever he be.

⁴ And we have confidence in the Lord touching you, that ye both do and will do the things which we command.

²³ And when they had appointed him a day, they came to him into his lodging in great number; to whom he expounded [the matter], testifying the kingdom of God, and persuading them concerning Jesus, both from the law of Moses and from the prophets, from morning till evening.

²⁴ whensoever I go unto Spain (for I hope to see you in my journey, and to be brought on my way thitherward by you, if first in some measure I shall have been satisfied with your company)—

³⁰ Now I beseech you, brethren, by our Lord Jesus Christ, and by the love of the Spirit, that ye strive together with me in your prayers to God for me; ³¹ that I may be delivered from them that are disobedient in Judζa, and [that] my ministration which [I have] for Jerusalem may be acceptable to the saints; ³² that I may come unto you in joy through the will of God, and together with you find rest.

¹¹ ye also helping together on our behalf by your supplication; that, for the gift bestowed upon us by means of many, thanks may be given by many persons on our behalf.

¹⁹ For I know that this shall turn out to my salvation, through your supplication and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ,

²⁵ And having this confidence, I know that I shall abide, yea, and abide with you all, for your progress and joy in the faith; ²⁶ that your glorying may abound in Christ Jesus in me through my presence with you again.

²⁴ but I trust in the Lord that I myself also shall come shortly.

²³ Know ye that our brother Timothy hath been set at liberty; with whom, if he come shortly, I will see you.

¹⁶ Confess therefore your sins one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The supplication of a righteous man availeth much in its working.

¹² Having many things to write unto you, I would not [write them] with paper and ink: but I hope to come unto you, and to speak face to face, that your joy may be made full.

¹⁴ but I hope shortly to see thee, and we shall speak face to face. Peace [be] unto thee. The friends salute thee. Salute the friends by name.

⁷ Salute Andronicus and Junias, my kinsmen, and my fellow-prisoners, who are of note among the apostles, who also have been in Christ before me.

⁷ even as ye learned of Epaphras our beloved fellow-servant, who is a faithful minister of Christ on our behalf,

¹⁰ Aristarchus my fellow-prisoner saluteth you, and Mark, the cousin of Barnabas (touching whom ye received commandments; if he come unto you, receive him),

¹² Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ Jesus, saluteth you, always striving for you in his prayers, that ye may stand perfect and fully assured in all the will of God.

¹² And when he had considered [the thing], he came to the house of Mary the mother of John whose surname was Mark; where many were gathered together and were praying.

²⁵ And Barnabas and Saul returned from Jerusalem, when they had fulfilled their ministration, taking with them John whose surname was Mark.

¹³ Now Paul and his company set sail from Paphos, and came to Perga in Pamphylia: and John departed from them and returned to Jerusalem.

³⁷ And Barnabas was minded to take with them John also, who was called Mark. ³⁸ But Paul thought not good to take with them him who withdrew from them from Pamphylia, and went not with them to the work. ³⁹ And there arose a sharp contention, so that they parted asunder one from the other, and Barnabas took Mark with him, and sailed away unto Cyprus;

²⁹ And the city was filled with the confusion: and they rushed with one accord into the theatre, having seized Gaius and Aristarchus, men of Macedonia, Paul's companions in travel.

² And embarking in a ship of Adramyttium, which was about to sail unto the places on the coast of Asia, we put to sea, Aristarchus, a Macedonian of Thessalonica, being with us.

¹⁴ Luke, the beloved physician, and Demas salute you.

¹⁰ for Demas forsook me, having loved this present world, and went to Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia, Titus to Dalmatia. ¹¹ Only Luke is with me. Take Mark, and bring him with thee; for he is useful to me for ministering.

¹ Paul, a prisoner of Christ Jesus, and Timothy our brother, to Philemon our beloved and fellow-worker, ² and to Apphia our sister, and to Archippus our fellow-soldier, and to the church in thy house:

⁸ We therefore ought to welcome such, that we may be fellow-workers for the truth.

²⁰ And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.

²³ Gaius my host, and of the whole church, saluteth you. Erastus the treasurer of the city saluteth you, and Quartus the brother.

¹⁸ The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit, brethren. Amen.

²² The Lord be with thy spirit. Grace be with you.
