Micah 7 Cross References - ASV

1 Woe is me! for I am as when they have gathered the summer fruits, as the grape gleanings of the vintage: there is no cluster to eat; my soul desireth the first-ripe fig. 2 The godly man is perished out of the earth, and there is none upright among men: they all lie in wait for blood; they hunt every man his brother with a net. 3 Their hands are upon that which is evil to do it diligently; the prince asketh, and the judge [is ready] for a reward; and the great man, he uttereth the evil desire of his soul: thus they weave it together. 4 The best of them is as a brier; the most upright is [worse] than a thorn hedge: the day of thy watchmen, even thy visitation, is come; now shall be their perplexity. 5 Trust ye not in a neighbor; put ye not confidence in a friend; keep the doors of thy mouth from her that lieth in thy bosom. 6 For the son dishonoreth the father, the daughter riseth up against her mother, the daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; a man's enemies are the men of his own house.
7 But as for me, I will look unto Jehovah; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me. 8 Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, Jehovah will be a light unto me. 9 I will bear the indignation of Jehovah, because I have sinned against him, until he plead my cause, and execute judgment for me: he will bring me forth to the light, [and] I shall behold his righteousness. 10 Then mine enemy shall see it, and shame shall cover her who said unto me, Where is Jehovah thy God? Mine eyes shall see [my desire] upon her; now shall she be trodden down as the mire of the streets. 11 A day for building thy walls! in that day shall the decree be far removed. 12 In that day shall they come unto thee from Assyria and the cities of Egypt, and from Egypt even to the River, and from sea to sea, and [from] mountain to mountain. 13 Yet shall the land be desolate because of them that dwell therein, for the fruit of their doings.
14 Feed thy people with thy rod, the flock of thy heritage, which dwell solitarily, in the forest in the midst of Carmel: let them feed in Bashan and Gilead, as in the days of old. 15 As in the days of thy coming forth out of the land of Egypt will I show unto them marvellous things. 16 The nations shall see and be ashamed of all their might; they shall lay their hand upon their mouth; their ears shall be deaf. 17 They shall lick the dust like a serpent; like crawling things of the earth they shall come trembling out of their close places; they shall come with fear unto Jehovah our God, and shall be afraid because of thee.
18 Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth over the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in lovingkindness. 19 He will again have compassion upon us; he will tread our iniquities under foot; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea. 20 Thou wilt perform the truth to Jacob, [and] the lovingkindness to Abraham, which thou hast sworn unto our fathers from the days of old.

And she said unto him, The Philistines are upon thee, Samson. And he brake the withes, as a string of tow is broken when it toucheth the fire. So his strength was not known.
10 And Delilah said unto Samson, Behold, thou hast mocked me, and told me lies: now tell me, I pray thee, wherewith thou mightest be bound. 11 And he said unto her, If they only bind me with new ropes wherewith no work hath been done, then shall I become weak, and be as another man. 12 So Delilah took new ropes, and bound him therewith, and said unto him, The Philistines are upon thee, Samson. And he awaked out of his sleep, and plucked away the pin of the beam, and the web.
15 And she said unto him, How canst thou say, I love thee, when thy heart is not with me? thou hast mocked me these three times, and hast not told me wherein thy great strength lieth. 16 And it came to pass, when she pressed him daily with her words, and urged him, that his soul was vexed unto death. 17 And he told her all his heart, and said unto her, There hath not come a razor upon my head; for I have been a Nazirite unto God from my mother's womb: if I be shaven, then my strength will go from me, and I shall become weak, and be like any other man.
18 And when Delilah saw that he had told her all his heart, she sent and called for the lords of the Philistines, saying, Come up this once, for he hath told me all his heart. Then the lords of the Philistines came up unto her, and brought the money in their hand. 19 And she made him sleep upon her knees; and she called for a man, and shaved off the seven locks of his head; and she began to afflict him, and his strength went from him. 20 And she said, The Philistines are upon thee, Samson. 12 Be it known unto the king, that the Jews that came up from thee are come to us unto Jerusalem; they are building the rebellious and the bad city, and have finished the walls, and repaired the foundations. 13 Be it known now unto the king, that, if this city be builded, and the walls finished, they will not pay tribute, custom, or toll, and in the end it will be hurtful unto the kings. 14 Now because we eat the salt of the palace, and it is not meet for us to see the king's dishonor, therefore have we sent and certified the king; 15 that search may be made in the book of the records of thy fathers: so shalt thou find in the book of the records, and know that this city is a rebellious city, and hurtful unto kings and provinces, and that they have moved sedition within the same of old time; for which cause was this city laid waste. 16 We certify the king that, if this city be builded, and the walls finished, by this means thou shalt have no portion beyond the River.

23 Then when the copy of king Artaxerxes' letter was read before Rehum, and Shimshai the scribe, and their companions, they went in haste to Jerusalem unto the Jews, and made them to cease by force and power. 24 Then ceased the work of the house of God which is at Jerusalem; and it ceased until the second year of the reign of Darius king of Persia.

1 A Psalm of David.

Jehovah is my shepherd; I shall not want. 2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures;
He leadeth me beside still waters. 3 He restoreth my soul:

I commune with mine own heart;
And my spirit maketh diligent search. 7 Will the Lord cast off for ever?
And will he be favorable no more? 8 Is his lovingkindness clean gone for ever?
Doth his promise fail for evermore? 9 Hath God forgotten to be gracious?
Hath he in anger shut up his tender mercies? [Selah 10 And I said, This is my infirmity;
[But I will remember] the years of the right hand of the Most High. 11 I will make mention of the deeds of Jehovah;

Psalms 68:22

22 The Lord said, I will bring again from Bashan,
I will bring [them] again from the depths of the sea;

Psalms 78:12-72

12 Marvellous things did he in the sight of their fathers,
In the land of Egypt, in the field of Zoan. 13 He clave the sea, and caused them to pass through;
And he made the waters to stand as a heap. 14 In the day-time also he led them with a cloud,
And all the night with a light of fire. 15 He clave rocks in the wilderness,
And gave them drink abundantly as out of the depths. 16 He brought streams also out of the rock,
And caused waters to run down like rivers. 17 Yet went they on still to sin against him,
To rebel against the Most High in the desert. 18 And they tempted God in their heart
By asking food according to their desire. 19 Yea, they spake against God;
They said, Can God prepare a table in the wilderness? 20 Behold, he smote the rock, so that waters gushed out,
And streams overflowed;
Can he give bread also?
Will he provide flesh for his people? 21 Therefore Jehovah heard, and was wroth;
And a fire was kindled against Jacob,
And anger also went up against Israel; 22 Because they believed not in God,
And trusted not in his salvation. 23 Yet he commanded the skies above,
And opened the doors of heaven; 24 And he rained down manna upon them to eat,
And gave them food from heaven. 25 Man did eat the bread of the mighty:
He sent them food to the full. 26 He caused the east wind to blow in the heavens;
And by his power he guided the south wind. 27 He rained flesh also upon them as the dust,
And winged birds as the sand of the seas: 28 And he let it fall in the midst of their camp,
Round about their habitations. 29 So they did eat, and were well filled;
And he gave them their own desire. 30 They were not estranged from that which they desired,
Their food was yet in their mouths, 31 When the anger of God went up against them,
And slew of the fattest of them,
And smote down the young men of Israel. 32 For all this they sinned still,
And believed not in his wondrous works. 33 Therefore their days did he consume in vanity,
And their years in terror. 34 When he slew them, then they inquired after him;
And they returned and sought God earnestly. 35 And they remembered that God was their rock,
And the Most High God their redeemer. 36 But they flattered him with their mouth,
And lied unto him with their tongue. 37 For their heart was not right with him,
Neither were they faithful in his covenant. 38 But he, being merciful, forgave [their] iniquity, and destroyed [them] not:
Yea, many a time turned he his anger away,
And did not stir up all his wrath. 39 And he remembered that they were but flesh,
A wind that passeth away, and cometh not again. 40 How oft did they rebel against him in the wilderness,
And grieve him in the desert! 41 And they turned again and tempted God,
And provoked the Holy One of Israel. 42 They remembered not his hand,
Nor the day when he redeemed them from the adversary; 43 How he set his signs in Egypt,
And his wonders in the field of Zoan, 44 And turned their rivers into blood,
And their streams, so that they could not drink. 45 He sent among them swarms of flies, which devoured them;
And frogs, which destroyed them. 46 He gave also their increase unto the caterpillar,
And their labor unto the locust. 47 He destroyed their vines with hail,
And their sycomore-trees with frost. 48 He gave over their cattle also to the hail,
And their flocks to hot thunderbolts. 49 He cast upon them the fierceness of his anger,
Wrath, and indignation, and trouble,
A band of angels of evil. 50 He made a path for his anger;
He spared not their soul from death,
But gave their life over to the pestilence, 51 And smote all the first-born in Egypt,
The chief of their strength in the tents of Ham. 52 But he led forth his own people like sheep,
And guided them in the wilderness like a flock. 53 And he led them safely, so that they feared not;
But the sea overwhelmed their enemies. 54 And he brought them to the border of his sanctuary,
To this mountain, which his right hand had gotten. 55 He drove out the nations also before them,
And allotted them for an inheritance by line,
And made the tribes of Israel to dwell in their tents. 56 Yet they tempted and rebelled against the Most High God,
And kept not his testimonies; 57 But turned back, and dealt treacherously like their fathers:
They were turned aside like a deceitful bow. 58 For they provoked him to anger with their high places,
And moved him to jealousy with their graven images. 59 When God heard [this], he was wroth,
And greatly abhorred Israel; 60 So that he forsook the tabernacle of Shiloh,
The tent which he placed among men; 61 And delivered his strength into captivity,
And his glory into the adversary's hand. 62 He gave his people over also unto the sword,
And was wroth with his inheritance. 63 Fire devoured their young men;
And their virgins had no marriage-song. 64 Their priests fell by the sword;
And their widows made no lamentation. 65 Then the Lord awaked as one out of sleep,
Like a mighty man that shouteth by reason of wine. 66 And he smote his adversaries backward:
He put them to a perpetual reproach. 67 Moreover he refused the tent of Joseph,
And chose not the tribe of Ephraim, 68 But chose the tribe of Judah,
The mount Zion which he loved. 69 And he built his sanctuary like the heights,
Like the earth which he hath established for ever. 70 He chose David also his servant,
And took him from the sheepfolds: 71 From following the ewes that have their young he brought him,
To be the shepherd of Jacob his people, and Israel his inheritance. 72 So he was their shepherd according to the integrity of his heart,
And guided them by the skilfulness of his hands.

15 Look down from heaven, and behold from the habitation of thy holiness and of thy glory: where are thy zeal and thy mighty acts? the yearning of thy heart and thy compassions are restrained toward me.
