³⁷ But they were terrified and affrighted, and supposed that they beheld a spirit.

¹³ And the king said unto her, Be not afraid: for what seest thou? And the woman said unto Saul, I see a god coming up out of the earth.

¹⁴ Fear came upon me, and trembling,
Which made all my bones to shake. ¹⁵ Then a spirit passed before my face;
The hair of my flesh stood up. ¹⁶ It stood still, but I could not discern the appearance thereof;
A form was before mine eyes:
[There was] silence, and I heard a voice, [saying],

²⁶ And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a ghost; and they cried out for fear. ²⁷ But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid.

⁴⁹ but they, when they saw him walking on the sea, supposed that it was a ghost, and cried out; ⁵⁰ for they all saw him, and were troubled. But he straightway spake with them, and saith unto them, Be of good cheer: it is I; be not afraid.

³⁰ And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one go to them from the dead, they will repent.

¹⁵ And they said unto her, Thou art mad. But she confidently affirmed that it was even so. And they said, It is his angel.
