⁴¹ And when he drew nigh, he saw the city and wept over it,

⁵³ Hot indignation hath taken hold upon me,
Because of the wicked that forsake thy law.

¹³⁶ Streams of water run down mine eyes,
Because they observe not thy law.

¹⁵⁸ I beheld the treacherous, and was grieved,
Because they observe not thy word.

¹ Oh that my head were waters, and mine eyes a fountain of tears, that I might weep day and night for the slain of the daughter of my people!

¹⁷ But if ye will not hear it, my soul shall weep in secret for [your] pride; and mine eye shall weep sore, and run down with tears, because Jehovah's flock is taken captive.

¹⁶ As for me, I have not hastened from being a shepherd after thee; neither have I desired the woeful day; thou knowest: that which came out of my lips was before thy face.
