²⁰ though Noah, Daniel, and Job, were in it, as I live, saith the Lord Jehovah, they should deliver neither son nor daughter; they should but deliver their own souls by their righteousness.

¹⁹ He will deliver thee in six troubles;
Yea, in seven there shall no evil touch thee. ²⁰ In famine he will redeem thee from death;
And in war from the power of the sword. ²¹ Thou shalt be hid from the scourge of the tongue;
Neither shalt thou be afraid of destruction when it cometh. ²² At destruction and dearth thou shalt laugh;
Neither shalt thou be afraid of the beasts of the earth. ²³ For thou shalt be in league with the stones of the field;
And the beasts of the field shall be at peace with thee. ²⁴ And thou shalt know that thy tent is in peace;
And thou shalt visit thy fold, and shalt miss nothing.

¹⁸ Behold, the eye of Jehovah is upon them that fear him,
Upon them that hope in his lovingkindness; ¹⁹ To deliver their soul from death,
And to keep them alive in famine.

¹⁰ Say ye of the righteous, that [it shall be] well [with him]; for they shall eat the fruit of their doings.

¹⁴ though these three men, Noah, Daniel, and Job, were in it, they should deliver but their own souls by their righteousness, saith the Lord Jehovah.

²² None of his transgressions that he hath committed shall be remembered against him: in his righteousness that he hath done he shall live.

¹² Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap according to kindness; break up your fallow ground; for it is time to seek Jehovah, till he come and rain righteousness upon you.

³ Seek ye Jehovah, all ye meek of the earth, that have kept his ordinances; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye will be hid in the day of Jehovah's anger.

³⁵ but in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is acceptable to him.

²⁹ If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one also that doeth righteousness is begotten of him.

⁷ [My] little children, let no man lead you astray: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous:

¹⁰ In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.
