⁷ And I fell unto the ground, and heard a voice saying unto me, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?

⁹ And Jehovah God called unto the man, and said unto him, Where art thou?

⁸ And he said, Hagar, Sarai's handmaid, whence camest thou? and whither goest thou? And she said, I am fleeing from the face of my mistress Sarai.

I have not burdened thee with offerings, nor wearied thee with frankincense. ²⁴ Thou hast bought me no sweet cane with money, neither hast thou filled me with the fat of thy sacrifices; but thou hast burdened me with thy sins, thou hast wearied me with thine iniquities.
²⁵ I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake; and I will not remember thy sins. ²⁶ Put me in remembrance; let us plead together: set thou forth [thy cause], that thou mayest be justified.

⁵ Thus saith Jehovah, What unrighteousness have your fathers found in me, that they are gone far from me, and have walked after vanity, and are become vain?

⁹ Wherefore I will yet contend with you, saith Jehovah, and with your children's children will I contend.

⁴⁵ Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not unto one of these least, ye did it not unto me.

²³ And he said, Why, what evil hath he done? But they cried out exceedingly, saying, Let him be crucified.
