² If it had not been the LORD who was on our side, when men rose up against us:

² And they rose up before Moses, with certain of the children of Israel, two hundred and fifty princes of the assembly, famous in the congregation, men of renown: ³ And they gathered themselves together against Moses and against Aaron, and said to them, You take too much on you, seeing all the congregation are holy, every one of them, and the LORD is among them: why then lift you up yourselves above the congregation of the LORD?

¹ Lord, how are they increased that trouble me! many are they that rise up against me.

¹ The king shall joy in your strength, O LORD; and in your salvation how greatly shall he rejoice! ² You have given him his heart's desire, and have not withheld the request of his lips. Selah.

¹² Many bulls have compassed me: strong bulls of Bashan have beset me round. ¹³ They gaped on me with their mouths, as a ravening and a roaring lion.

¹⁶ For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have enclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet.

³² The wicked watches the righteous, and seeks to slay him.
