³ A man shall not be established by wickedness: but the root of the righteous shall not be moved.

³³ And blessed be your advice, and blessed be you, which have kept me this day from coming to shed blood, and from avenging myself with my own hand.

³ I have seen the foolish taking root: but suddenly I cursed his habitation. ⁴ His children are far from safety, and they are crushed in the gate, neither is there any to deliver them. ⁵ Whose harvest the hungry eats up, and takes it even out of the thorns, and the robber swallows up their substance.

²⁹ He shall not be rich, neither shall his substance continue, neither shall he prolong the perfection thereof on the earth.

⁵ That the triumphing of the wicked is short, and the joy of the hypocrite but for a moment? ⁶ Though his excellency mount up to the heavens, and his head reach to the clouds; ⁷ Yet he shall perish for ever like his own dung: they which have seen him shall say, Where is he? ⁸ He shall fly away as a dream, and shall not be found: yes, he shall be chased away as a vision of the night. ⁹ The eye also which saw him shall see him no more; neither shall his place any more behold him.

¹⁶ Though he heap up silver as the dust, and prepare raiment as the clay; ¹⁷ He may prepare it, but the just shall put it on, and the innocent shall divide the silver. ¹⁸ He builds his house as a moth, and as a booth that the keeper makes.

⁵ He that puts not out his money to usury, nor takes reward against the innocent. He that does these things shall never be moved.

¹ They that trust in the LORD shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but stays for ever. ² As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the LORD is round about his people from now on even for ever.

²⁵ As the whirlwind passes, so is the wicked no more: but the righteous is an everlasting foundation.

¹² The wicked desires the net of evil men: but the root of the righteous yields fruit.

¹⁷ That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love,

⁷ Rooted and built up in him, and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.
