²³ Then if any man shall say to you, See, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.

¹ If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and gives you a sign or a wonder, ² And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spoke to you, saying, Let us go after other gods, which you have not known, and let us serve them; ³ You shall not listen to the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the LORD your God proves you, to know whether you love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul.

²¹ And then if any man shall say to you, See, here is Christ; or, see, he is there; believe him not:

²³ And they shall say to you, See here; or, see there: go not after them, nor follow them. ²⁴ For as the lightning, that lightens out of the one part under heaven, shines to the other part under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in his day.

⁸ And he said, Take heed that you be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and the time draws near: go you not therefore after them.

⁴³ I am come in my Father's name, and you receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him you will receive.
