⁴⁴ Let these sayings sink down into your ears: for the Son of man shall be delivered into the hands of men.

¹⁴ And David said to Gad, I am in a great strait: let us fall now into the hand of the LORD; for his mercies are great: and let me not fall into the hand of man.

⁹ Rise up, you women that are at ease; hear my voice, you careless daughters; give ear to my speech. ¹⁰ Many days and years shall you be troubled, you careless women: for the vintage shall fail, the gathering shall not come.

²¹ From that time forth began Jesus to show to his disciples, how that he must go to Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day.

²² And while they stayed in Galilee, Jesus said to them, The Son of man shall be betrayed into the hands of men: ²³ And they shall kill him, and the third day he shall be raised again. And they were exceeding sorry.

¹⁸ Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be betrayed to the chief priests and to the scribes, and they shall condemn him to death, ¹⁹ And shall deliver him to the Gentiles to mock, and to whip, and to crucify him: and the third day he shall rise again.

³⁸ But when the farmers saw the son, they said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and let us seize on his inheritance. ³⁹ And they caught him, and cast him out of the vineyard, and slew him.

² You know that after two days is the feast of the passover, and the Son of man is betrayed to be crucified.

³¹ And he began to teach them, that the Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders, and of the chief priests, and scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again.

³¹ For he taught his disciples, and said to them, The Son of man is delivered into the hands of men, and they shall kill him; and after that he is killed, he shall rise the third day.

⁶⁶ And all they that heard them laid them up in their hearts, saying, What manner of child shall this be! And the hand of the Lord was with him.

¹⁹ But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart.

³¹ Then he took to him the twelve, and said to them, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem, and all things that are written by the prophets concerning the Son of man shall be accomplished.

⁶ He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spoke to you when he was yet in Galilee, ⁷ Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.

⁴⁴ And he said to them, These are the words which I spoke to you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.

¹⁹ Jesus answered and said to them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up. ²⁰ Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and will you raise it up in three days? ²¹ But he spoke of the temple of his body. ²² When therefore he was risen from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this to them; and they believed the scripture, and the word which Jesus had said.

⁴ But these things have I told you, that when the time shall come, you may remember that I told you of them. And these things I said not to you at the beginning, because I was with you.

¹¹ Jesus answered, You could have no power at all against me, except it were given you from above: therefore he that delivered me to you has the greater sin.

²³ Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, you have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain:

¹³ The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified his Son Jesus; whom you delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let him go. ¹⁴ But you denied the Holy One and the Just, and desired a murderer to be granted to you; ¹⁵ And killed the Prince of life, whom God has raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses.

²⁷ For of a truth against your holy child Jesus, whom you have anointed, both Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles, and the people of Israel, were gathered together, ²⁸ For to do whatever your hand and your counsel determined before to be done.

³ That no man should be moved by these afflictions: for yourselves know that we are appointed thereunto. ⁴ For truly, when we were with you, we told you before that we should suffer tribulation; even as it came to pass, and you know.

¹ Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip.

² Looking to Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. ³ For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest you be wearied and faint in your minds. ⁴ You have not yet resisted to blood, striving against sin. ⁵ And you have forgotten the exhortation which speaks to you as to children, My son, despise not you the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when you are rebuked of him:
