⁶ For the punishment of the iniquity of the daughter of my people is greater than the punishment of the sin of Sodom, that was overthrown as in a moment, and no hands stayed on her.

²⁵ And he overthrew those cities, and all the plain, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew on the ground.

⁹ Except the LORD of hosts had left to us a very small remnant, we should have been as Sodom, and we should have been like to Gomorrah. ¹⁰ Hear the word of the LORD, you rulers of Sodom; give ear to the law of our God, you people of Gomorrah.

²³ And you, Capernaum, which are exalted to heaven, shall be brought down to hell: for if the mighty works, which have been done in you, had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day. ²⁴ But I say to you, That it shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom in the day of judgment, than for you.

²¹ For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

¹² But I say to you, that it shall be more tolerable in that day for Sodom, than for that city.

⁴⁷ And that servant, which knew his lord's will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes.
