²¹ This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope.

⁷ Will the Lord cast off for ever? and will he be favorable no more? ⁸ Is his mercy clean gone for ever? does his promise fail for ever more? ⁹ Has God forgotten to be gracious? has he in anger shut up his tender mercies? Selah. ¹⁰ And I said, This is my infirmity: but I will remember the years of the right hand of the most High. ¹¹ I will remember the works of the LORD: surely I will remember your wonders of old.

⁸¹ My soul faints for your salvation: but I hope in your word.

⁷ Let Israel hope in the LORD: for with the LORD there is mercy, and with him is plenteous redemption.

²⁴ The LORD is my portion, said my soul; therefore will I hope in him. ²⁵ The LORD is good to them that wait for him, to the soul that seeks him. ²⁶ It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD. ²⁷ It is good for a man that he bear the yoke of his youth. ²⁸ He sits alone and keeps silence, because he has borne it on him. ²⁹ He puts his mouth in the dust; if so be there may be hope.

³ For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.
