⁶ And I brought your fathers out of Egypt: and you came to the sea; and the Egyptians pursued after your fathers with chariots and horsemen to the Red sea.

³⁷ And the children of Israel journeyed from Rameses to Succoth, about six hundred thousand on foot that were men, beside children.

⁵¹ And it came to pass the selfsame day, that the LORD did bring the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt by their armies.

¹ And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, ² Speak to the children of Israel, that they turn and encamp before Pihahiroth, between Migdol and the sea, over against Baalzephon: before it shall you encamp by the sea. ³ For Pharaoh will say of the children of Israel, They are entangled in the land, the wilderness has shut them in. ⁴ And I will harden Pharaoh's heart, that he shall follow after them; and I will be honored on Pharaoh, and on all his host; that the Egyptians may know that I am the LORD. And they did so. ⁵ And it was told the king of Egypt that the people fled: and the heart of Pharaoh and of his servants was turned against the people, and they said, Why have we done this, that we have let Israel go from serving us? ⁶ And he made ready his chariot, and took his people with him: ⁷ And he took six hundred chosen chariots, and all the chariots of Egypt, and captains over every one of them. ⁸ And the LORD hardened the heart of Pharaoh king of Egypt, and he pursued after the children of Israel: and the children of Israel went out with an high hand. ⁹ But the Egyptians pursued after them, all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh, and his horsemen, and his army, and overtook them encamping by the sea, beside Pihahiroth, before Baalzephon. ¹⁰ And when Pharaoh drew near, the children of Israel lifted up their eyes, and, behold, the Egyptians marched after them; and they were sore afraid: and the children of Israel cried out to the LORD. ¹¹ And they said to Moses, Because there were no graves in Egypt, have you taken us away to die in the wilderness? why have you dealt thus with us, to carry us forth out of Egypt? ¹² Is not this the word that we did tell you in Egypt, saying, Let us alone, that we may serve the Egyptians? For it had been better for us to serve the Egyptians, than that we should die in the wilderness. ¹³ And Moses said to the people, Fear you not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will show to you to day: for the Egyptians whom you have seen to day, you shall see them again no more for ever. ¹⁴ The LORD shall fight for you, and you shall hold your peace. ¹⁵ And the LORD said to Moses, Why cry you to me? speak to the children of Israel, that they go forward:

¹¹ And you did divide the sea before them, so that they went through the middle of the sea on the dry land; and their persecutors you threw into the deeps, as a stone into the mighty waters.

¹⁵ You have with your arm redeemed your people, the sons of Jacob and Joseph. Selah. ¹⁶ The waters saw you, O God, the waters saw you; they were afraid: the depths also were troubled. ¹⁷ The clouds poured out water: the skies sent out a sound: your arrows also went abroad. ¹⁸ The voice of your thunder was in the heaven: the lightning lightened the world: the earth trembled and shook. ¹⁹ Your way is in the sea, and your path in the great waters, and your footsteps are not known. ²⁰ You led your people like a flock by the hand of Moses and Aaron.

¹³ He divided the sea, and caused them to pass through; and he made the waters to stand as an heap.

¹³ To him which divided the Red sea into parts: for his mercy endures for ever: ¹⁴ And made Israel to pass through the middle of it: for his mercy endures for ever: ¹⁵ But overthrew Pharaoh and his host in the Red sea: for his mercy endures for ever.

¹² That led them by the right hand of Moses with his glorious arm, dividing the water before them, to make himself an everlasting name? ¹³ That led them through the deep, as an horse in the wilderness, that they should not stumble?

⁴ For I brought you up out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed you out of the house of servants; and I sent before you Moses, Aaron, and Miriam.

³⁶ He brought them out, after that he had showed wonders and signs in the land of Egypt, and in the Red sea, and in the wilderness forty years.

²⁹ By faith they passed through the Red sea as by dry land: which the Egyptians assaying to do were drowned.
