¹⁹ O LORD, to you will I cry: for the fire has devoured the pastures of the wilderness, and the flame has burned all the trees of the field.

¹⁵ And call on me in the day of trouble: I will deliver you, and you shall glorify me.

¹⁵ He shall call on me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honor him.

¹⁰ For the mountains will I take up a weeping and wailing, and for the habitations of the wilderness a lamentation, because they are burned up, so that none can pass through them; neither can men hear the voice of the cattle; both the fowl of the heavens and the beast are fled; they are gone.

³ A fire devours before them; and behind them a flame burns: the land is as the garden of Eden before them, and behind them a desolate wilderness; yes, and nothing shall escape them.

⁴ Thus has the Lord GOD showed to me: and, behold, the Lord GOD called to contend by fire, and it devoured the great deep, and did eat up a part.

⁷ Therefore I will look to the LORD; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me.

¹⁷ Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labor of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls: ¹⁸ Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation.

¹ And he spoke a parable to them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;

⁷ And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night to him, though he bear long with them?

⁶ Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. ⁷ And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
