²⁹ See, all these things works God oftentimes with man,

¹⁰ And the king of Israel sent to the place which the man of God told him and warned him of, and saved himself there, not once nor twice.

¹⁴ For God speaks once, yes twice, yet man perceives it not. ¹⁵ In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls on men, in slumberings on the bed; ¹⁶ Then he opens the ears of men, and seals their instruction, ¹⁷ That he may withdraw man from his purpose, and hide pride from man.

⁵ Once have I spoken; but I will not answer: yes, twice; but I will proceed no further.

⁶ And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which works all in all.

⁵ Now he that has worked us for the selfsame thing is God, who also has given to us the earnest of the Spirit.

⁸ For this thing I sought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me.

¹¹ In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who works all things after the counsel of his own will:

¹³ For it is God which works in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

²⁹ Whereunto I also labor, striving according to his working, which works in me mightily.

²¹ Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is well pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
