²² In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly.

¹⁰ But he said to her, You speak as one of the foolish women speaks. What? shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil? In all this did not Job sin with his lips.

¹⁰ Therefore listen to me you men of understanding: far be it from God, that he should do wickedness; and from the Almighty, that he should commit iniquity.

¹⁸ Is it fit to say to a king, You are wicked? and to princes, You are ungodly? ¹⁹ How much less to him that accepts not the persons of princes, nor regards the rich more than the poor? for they all are the work of his hands.

⁴ Behold, I am vile; what shall I answer you? I will lay my hand on my mouth. ⁵ Once have I spoken; but I will not answer: yes, twice; but I will proceed no further. ⁶ Then answered the LORD to Job out of the whirlwind, and said, ⁷ Gird up your loins now like a man: I will demand of you, and declare you to me. ⁸ Will you also cancel my judgment? will you condemn me, that you may be righteous?

²⁰ No but, O man, who are you that reply against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why have you made me thus?

⁴ But let patience have her perfect work, that you may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

¹² Blessed is the man that endures temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord has promised to them that love him.

⁷ That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perishes, though it be tried with fire, might be found to praise and honor and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:
