⁷ And he built there an altar, and called the place Elbethel: because there God appeared to him, when he fled from the face of his brother.

³ And Judah spoke to him, saying, The man did solemnly protest to us, saying, You shall not see my face, except your brother be with you.

¹⁶ And were carried over into Sychem, and laid in the sepulcher that Abraham bought for a sum of money of the sons of Emmor the father of Sychem.

¹⁷ And Ananias went his way, and entered into the house; and putting his hands on him said, Brother Saul, the Lord, even Jesus, that appeared to you in the way as you came, has sent me, that you might receive your sight, and be filled with the Holy Ghost.

³⁷ And they all wept sore, and fell on Paul's neck, and kissed him,

²⁰ And when they heard it, they glorified the Lord, and said to him, You see, brother, how many thousands of Jews there are which believe; and they are all zealous of the law:

³¹ What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? ³² He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?

¹ We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves.

² I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for till now you were not able to bear it, neither yet now are you able.

²¹ Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are your's;

¹⁹ For though I be free from all men, yet have I made myself servant to all, that I might gain the more. ²⁰ And to the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might gain the Jews; to them that are under the law, as under the law, that I might gain them that are under the law; ²¹ To them that are without law, as without law, (being not without law to God, but under the law to Christ,) that I might gain them that are without law. ²² To the weak became I as weak, that I might gain the weak: I am made all things to all men, that I might by all means save some.

¹⁰ As sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.

⁵ Therefore I thought it necessary to exhort the brothers, that they would go before to you, and make up beforehand your bounty, whereof you had notice before, that the same might be ready, as a matter of bounty, and not as of covetousness. ⁶ But this I say, He which sows sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which sows bountifully shall reap also bountifully.

¹¹ Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatever state I am, therewith to be content. ¹² I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.

¹⁸ But I have all, and abound: I am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things which were sent from you, an odor of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, well pleasing to God.

⁸ For bodily exercise profits little: but godliness is profitable to all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.

⁷ For we have great joy and consolation in your love, because the bowels of the saints are refreshed by you, brother.

¹⁶ Not now as a servant, but above a servant, a brother beloved, specially to me, but how much more to you, both in the flesh, and in the Lord?

¹³ And again, I will put my trust in him. And again, Behold I and the children which God has given me.

⁴ And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.
