⁹ Then Abimelech called Abraham, and said to him, What have you done to us? and what have I offended you, that you have brought on me and on my kingdom a great sin? you have done deeds to me that ought not to be done.

¹⁸ And Pharaoh called Abram and said, What is this that you have done to me? why did you not tell me that she was your wife?

¹⁰ And Abimelech said, What is this you have done to us? one of the people might lightly have lien with your wife, and you should have brought guiltiness on us.

⁷ And the sons of Jacob came out of the field when they heard it: and the men were grieved, and they were very wroth, because he had worked folly in Israel in lying with Jacob's daughter: which thing ought not to be done.

⁹ There is none greater in this house than I; neither has he kept back any thing from me but you, because you are his wife: how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?

²¹ And Moses said to Aaron, What did this people to you, that you have brought so great a sin on them?

³⁵ And the LORD plagued the people, because they made the calf, which Aaron made.

¹⁰ And the man that commits adultery with another man's wife, even he that commits adultery with his neighbor's wife, the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death.

²⁵ And Joshua said, Why have you troubled us? the LORD shall trouble you this day. And all Israel stoned him with stones, and burned them with fire, after they had stoned them with stones.

¹⁸ And he said, Why does my lord thus pursue after his servant? for what have I done? or what evil is in my hand? ¹⁹ Now therefore, I pray you, let my lord the king hear the words of his servant. ⁵ And David's anger was greatly kindled against the man; and he said to Nathan, As the LORD lives, the man that has done this thing shall surely die:

¹⁰ Now therefore the sword shall never depart from your house; because you have despised me, and have taken the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be your wife. ¹¹ Thus said the LORD, Behold, I will raise up evil against you out of your own house, and I will take your wives before your eyes, and give them to your neighbor, and he shall lie with your wives in the sight of this sun.

¹² And she answered him, No, my brother, do not force me; for no such thing ought to be done in Israel: do not you this folly.

¹⁰ Whoever causes the righteous to go astray in an evil way, he shall fall himself into his own pit: but the upright shall have good things in possession.

¹¹ For there is no respect of persons with God.

¹¹ Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for filthy lucre's sake.

⁴ Marriage is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled: but fornicators and adulterers God will judge.
