²⁷ The Jews ordained, and took on them, and on their seed, and on all such as joined themselves to them, so as it should not fail, that they would keep these two days according to their writing, and according to their appointed time every year;

³ The LORD made not this covenant with our fathers, but with us, even us, who are all of us here alive this day.

¹⁴ Neither with you only do I make this covenant and this oath; ¹⁵ But with him that stands here with us this day before the LORD our God, and also with him that is not here with us this day:

²¹ To establish this among them, that they should keep the fourteenth day of the month Adar, and the fifteenth day of the same, yearly,

³ Neither let the son of the stranger, that has joined himself to the LORD, speak, saying, The LORD has utterly separated me from his people: neither let the eunuch say, Behold, I am a dry tree.

⁶ Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to the LORD, to serve him, and to love the name of the LORD, to be his servants, every one that keeps the sabbath from polluting it, and takes hold of my covenant;

¹¹ And many nations shall be joined to the LORD in that day, and shall be my people: and I will dwell in the middle of you, and you shall know that the LORD of hosts has sent me to you.

²³ Thus said the LORD of hosts; In those days it shall come to pass, that ten men shall take hold out of all languages of the nations, even shall take hold of the skirt of him that is a Jew, saying, We will go with you: for we have heard that God is with you.
