⁹ I truly thought with myself, that I ought to do many things contrary to the name of Jesus of Nazareth.

²¹ But all these things will they do to you for my name's sake, because they know not him that sent me.

² They shall put you out of the synagogues: yes, the time comes, that whoever kills you will think that he does God service. ³ And these things will they do to you, because they have not known the Father, nor me.

⁶ Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.

¹⁶ For I will show him how great things he must suffer for my name's sake.

¹³ Then Paul answered, What mean you to weep and to break my heart? for I am ready not to be bound only, but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.

⁸ And I answered, Who are you, Lord? And he said to me, I am Jesus of Nazareth, whom you persecute.

⁵ For we have found this man a pestilent fellow, and a mover of sedition among all the Jews throughout the world, and a ringleader of the sect of the Nazarenes:

² For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.

¹³ For you have heard of my conversation in time past in the Jews' religion, how that beyond measure I persecuted the church of God, and wasted it: ¹⁴ And profited in the Jews' religion above many my equals in my own nation, being more exceedingly zealous of the traditions of my fathers.

⁶ Concerning zeal, persecuting the church; touching the righteousness which is in the law, blameless.

¹³ Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.
