⁶ Now we command you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you withdraw yourselves from every brother that walks disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us.

¹⁷ And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it to the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be to you as an heathen man and a publican.

¹⁷ Now I beseech you, brothers, mark them which cause divisions and offenses contrary to the doctrine which you have learned; and avoid them.

⁴ In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when you are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ,

¹¹ But now I have written to you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortionist; with such an one no not to eat. ¹² For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not you judge them that are within? ¹³ But them that are without God judges. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.

² Now I praise you, brothers, that you remember me in all things, and keep the ordinances, as I delivered them to you.

¹⁰ To whom you forgive any thing, I forgive also: for if I forgave any thing, to whom I forgave it, for your sakes forgave I it in the person of Christ;

¹⁷ This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you from now on walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind,

¹⁷ And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

¹ Furthermore then we beseech you, brothers, and exhort you by the Lord Jesus, that as you have received of us how you ought to walk and to please God, so you would abound more and more.

¹¹ And that you study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you;

¹⁴ Now we exhort you, brothers, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all men.

¹⁵ Therefore, brothers, stand fast, and hold the traditions which you have been taught, whether by word, or our letter.

⁷ For yourselves know how you ought to follow us: for we behaved not ourselves disorderly among you;

¹⁰ For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat. ¹¹ For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies.

¹⁴ And if any man obey not our word by this letter, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed. ¹⁵ Yet count him not as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother.

²¹ I charge you before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, and the elect angels, that you observe these things without preferring one before another, doing nothing by partiality.

⁵ Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw yourself.

¹³ I give you charge in the sight of God, who vivifies all things, and before Christ Jesus, who before Pontius Pilate witnessed a good confession; ¹⁴ That you keep this commandment without spot, unrebukable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ:

⁵ Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

¹ I charge you therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;

¹⁵ Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled; ¹⁶ Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright.

¹⁰ Why, if I come, I will remember his deeds which he does, prating against us with malicious words: and not content therewith, neither does he himself receive the brothers, and forbids them that would, and casts them out of the church. ¹¹ Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that does good is of God: but he that does evil has not seen God.
