³³ While the flesh was yet between their teeth, before it was chewed, the anger of LORD was kindled against the people, and LORD smote the people with a very great plague. ³⁴ And the name of that place was called Kibrothhattaavah, because there they buried the people who lusted.

²⁰ And God came to Balaam at night, and said to him, If the men come to call thee, rise up, go with them, but only the word which I speak to thee, that shall thou do. ²¹ And Balaam rose up in the morning, and saddled his donkey, and went with the rulers of Moab. ²² And God's anger was kindled because he went, and the agent of LORD placed himself in the way for an adversary against him. Now he was riding upon his donkey, and his two servants were with him.

³² For the backsliding of the simple shall kill them, and the careless ease of fools shall destroy them.

¹⁹ Now there was a certain rich man, and he was clothed in purple and fine linen, faring sumptuously daily. ²⁰ But there was a certain poor man named Lazarus, who had been placed near his gate, covered with sores, ²¹ and longing to be fed with the crumbs that fell from the rich man's table. But even the dogs that came licked his sores. ²² And it came to pass for the poor man to die and be carried by the agents to Abraham's bosom. And the rich man also died and was buried. ²³ And having lifted up his eyes in Hades, being in torments, he sees Abraham from afar and Lazarus by his bosom.
