³³ Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep,

⁴ Do not give sleep to thine eyes, nor slumber to thine eyelids. ⁵ Deliver thyself as a roe from the hand, and as a bird from the hand of the fowler. ⁶ Go to the ant, thou sluggard. Consider her ways, and be wise. ⁷ Which, having no chief, overseer, or ruler, ⁸ provides her bread in the summer, and gathers her food in the harvest. ⁹ How long will thou sleep, O sluggard? When will thou arise out of thy sleep? ¹⁰ A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep, ¹¹ so thy poverty shall come as a robber, and thy want as an armed man.

¹¹ And this, knowing the time, that the hour is now for us to awake out of sleep. For our salvation is now nearer than when we believed.

¹⁴ Therefore he says, Awake, thou who sleep. And arise from the dead, and the Christ will shine upon thee.

⁶ So then let us not sleep, as also the others, but let us watch and be sober. ⁷ For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who are intoxicated get drunk at night. ⁸ But we, being of the day, should be sober, putting on a breastplate of faith and love, and a helmet, the hope of salvation.
