3 To do righteousness and justice is more acceptable to LORD than sacrifice.

1 Samuel 15:22

22 And Samuel said, Has LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.

Psalms 50:8

8 I will not reprove thee for thy sacrifices, and thy burnt offerings being continually before me.

Proverbs 15:8

Isaiah 1:11-17

11 What to me is the multitude of your sacrifices? says LORD. I have had enough of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts. And I do not delight in the blood of bullocks or of lambs or of he-goats. 12 When ye come to appear before me, who has required this at your hand-to trample my courts? 13 Bring no more vain oblations. Incense is an abomination to me. New moon and sabbath, the calling of assemblies-I cannot bear iniquity and the solemn meeting. 14 Your new moons and your appointed feasts my soul hates. They are a trouble to me. I am weary of bearing them. 15 And when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide my eyes from you. Yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear; your hands are full of blood. 16 Wash you, make you clean, put away the evil of your doings from before my eyes. Cease to do evil. 17 Learn to do good. Seek justice, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow.

Jeremiah 7:21-23

21 Thus says LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: Add your burnt offerings to your sacrifices, and eat ye flesh. 22 For I spoke not to your fathers, nor commanded them in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, concerning burnt offerings or sacrifices. 23 But this thing I commanded them, saying, Hearken to my voice, and I will be your God, and ye shall be my people. And walk ye in all the way that I command you, that it may be well with you.

Hosea 6:6

6 For I desire mercy, and not sacrifice, and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.

Micah 6:6-8

6 With what shall I come before LORD, and bow myself before the high God? Shall I come before him with burnt offerings, with calves a year old? 7 Will LORD be pleased with thousands of rams, or with ten thousand rivers of oil? Shall I give my firstborn for my transgression, the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul? 8 He has shown thee, O man, what is good. And what does LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with thy God?

Mark 12:33

33 And to love him from the whole heart, and from the whole understanding, and from the whole soul, and from the whole strength, and to love his neighbor as himself, is more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.
