²⁷ one young bullock, one ram, one he-lamb a year old, for a burnt offering;

⁸ I will not reprove thee for thy sacrifices, and thy burnt offerings being continually before me. ⁹ I will take no bullock out of thy house, nor he-goats out of thy folds. ¹⁰ For every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills. ¹¹ I know all the birds of the mountains, and the wild beasts of the field are mine. ¹² If I were hungry, I would not tell thee, for the world is mine, and the fullness thereof. ¹³ Will I eat the flesh of bulls, or drink the blood of goats? ¹⁴ Offer to God the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and pay thy vows to the Most High.

¹⁶ For thou delight not in sacrifice, else I would give it. Thou have no pleasure in burnt offering.

¹¹ What to me is the multitude of your sacrifices? says LORD. I have had enough of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts. And I do not delight in the blood of bullocks or of lambs or of he-goats.

²² For I spoke not to your fathers, nor commanded them in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, concerning burnt offerings or sacrifices.

²² Yea, though ye offer me your burnt offerings and meal offerings, I will not accept them, nor will I regard the peace offerings of your fat beasts.
