²⁵ Because of this I say to you, be not anxious about your life, what ye may eat, or what ye may drink, nor yet for your body, what ye may wear. Is not the life more than the food, and the body than the clothing?

³¹ Be not therefore anxious, saying, What may we eat? or, What may we drink? or, What may we wear?

¹⁰ no bag for the road, nor two coats, nor shoes, nor staffs, for the workman is worthy of his provision.

¹¹ And having answered, he says to them, He who has two coats, let him share with him not having, and he who has food, let him do likewise.

²⁷ Consider the lilies, how they grow. They toil not, nor do they spin, and I say to you, not even Solomon in all his glory was arrayed like one of these.

³⁵ And he said to them, When I sent you without bag and pouch and shoes, did ye lack anything? And they said, Nothing. ³⁶ Then he said to them, But now, he who has a bag, let him take it, and likewise a pouch. And he who has no sword, let him sell his cloak and buy.

⁶ Be anxious about nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thankfulness make your requests known to God.
