³ For this is he who was spoken of by Isaiah the prophet, saying, The voice of a man crying in the wilderness: Prepare ye the way of the Lord. Make his paths straight.

³ The voice of a man crying out in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.

¹⁴ And he will say, Cast ye up, cast ye up, prepare the way. Take up the stumbling-block out of the way of my people. ¹⁵ For thus says the high and lofty One who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: I dwell in the high and holy place, also with him who is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite.

¹ Behold, I send my agent, and he shall prepare the way before me. And the Lord, whom ye seek, will suddenly come to his temple. And the messenger of the covenant, whom ye desire, behold, he comes, says LORD of hosts.

³ The voice of a man crying out in the wilderness: Prepare ye the way of the Lord. Make his paths straight.

¹⁷ And he will go ahead, in front of him, in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn back the hearts of fathers toward children, and the disobedient in a mentality of the righteous, to make ready for the Lord a people prepared.

⁷⁶ And thou, child, will be called a prophet of the Most High. For thou will go ahead, before the face of the Lord, to prepare his ways,

³ And he came into all the region around the Jordan, preaching an immersion of repentance for remission of sins, ⁴ as it is written in the book of the words of Isaiah the prophet, which says, The voice of a man crying out in the wilderness: Prepare ye the way of the Lord. Make his paths straight. ⁵ Every valley will be filled, and every mountain and hill will be brought low. And the crooked things will be into straight and the rough into smooth ways. ⁶ And all flesh will see the salvation of God.
