³⁰ For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as agents of God in heaven.

¹⁹ And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou have many goods laid up for many years. Take thine ease, eat, drink, be merry.

⁴⁵ But if that bondman should say in his heart, My lord is late to come, and should begin to beat the servant boys and the servant girls, and to eat and drink, and to be drunken,

²⁶ And just as it happened in the days of Noah, so also it will be in the days of the Son of man. ²⁷ They ate, they drank, they married, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all. ²⁸ And likewise as it happened in the days of Lot. They ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built.

³⁴ But take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down in debauchery and drunkenness and mundane cares, and that day come upon you sudden.

¹³ Let us walk decently as in the day, not in revelry and drunkenness, not in beddings and wantonness, not in strife and envy. ¹⁴ But clothe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no forethought for lusts of the flesh.

²⁹ But this I say, brothers, the time is shortened. It is the remaining, so that also those who have wives may be as not having, ³⁰ and those who weep, as not weeping, and those who rejoice, as not rejoicing, and those who buy, as not possessing, ³¹ and those who use this world, as not making full use, for the form of this world passes away.
