A damsel, two damsels to every man, to Sisera a spoil of dyed garments, a spoil of dyed garments embroidered, of dyed garments embroidered on both sides, on the necks of the spoil? ³¹ So let all thine enemies perish, O LORD, but let those who love him be as the sun when he goes forth in his might. And the land had rest forty years.

³ And so it was, when Israel had sown, that the Midianites came up, and the Amalekites, and the sons of the east, they came up against them.

⁶ And he went forth and warred against the Philistines, and broke down the wall of Gath, and the wall of Jabneh, and the wall of Ashdod. And he built cities in the country of Ashdod, and among the Philistines. ⁷ And God helped him against the Philistines, and against the Arabians who dwelt in Gur-baal, and the Meunim.

⁴² Their enemies also oppressed them, and they were brought into subjection under their hand. ⁴³ Many times he delivered them, but they were rebellious in their counsel, and were brought low in their iniquity.
