³¹ And Israel served LORD all the days of Joshua, and all the days of the elders who outlived Joshua, and had known all the work of LORD that he had wrought for Israel.

² And ye know this day, for it is not with your sons who have not known, and who have not seen the chastisement of LORD your God, his greatness, his mighty hand, and his outstretched arm,

⁷ but your eyes have seen all the great work of LORD which he did.

¹³ and that their sons who have not known may hear, and learn to fear LORD your God as long as ye live in the land where ye go over the Jordan to possess it.

²⁹ For I know that after my death ye will utterly corrupt yourselves, and turn aside from the way which I have commanded you. And evil will befall you in the latter days, because ye will do that which is evil in the sight of LORD, to provoke him to anger through the work of your hands.

⁷ And the people served LORD all the days of Joshua, and all the days of the elders who outlived Joshua, who had seen all the great work of LORD that he had wrought for Israel.

²⁹ For I know this, that after my departure grievous wolves will enter in among you, not sparing the flock.

¹² Therefore my beloved, just as ye have always obeyed, not only as in my presence, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
