¹² And the earth brought forth grass, herbs yielding seed according to their kind, and trees bearing fruit in which is the seed of it, according to their kind. And God saw that it was good.

¹⁰ For as the rain comes down and the snow from heaven, and returns not there, but waters the earth, and makes it bring forth and bud, and gives seed to the sower and bread to the eater, ¹¹ so shall my word be that goes forth out of my mouth. It shall not return to me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please. And it shall prosper in the thing to which I sent it.

¹¹ For as the earth brings forth its bud, and as the garden causes the things that are sown in it to spring forth, so the lord LORD will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations.

²⁴ He set forth another parable to them, saying, The kingdom of the heavens is compared to a man sowing good seed in his field. ²⁵ But while the men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares in the midst of the wheat, and went away. ²⁶ And when the blade sprouted and produced fruit, then the tares also appeared.

²⁸ For the earth bears fruit spontaneously, first the blade, then the ear, then the full grain in the ear.

⁴⁴ For each tree is known from its own fruit. For they do not gather figs from thorns, nor do they harvest grapes from a bramble bush.

¹⁰ And he who supplies seed to the man who sows, and bread for eating, may he supply and multiply your seed, and may he increase the fruits of your righteousness,

⁷ Be not misled, God is not mocked, for whatever a man sows this he will also reap.
